Spotted's pov

I felt a tail rest on my shoulder, i turned and was Casper and Howler behind me. "Sorry we couldn't stay, but were back now" Howler says, rubbing her muzzle against my cheek, i purred. "I missed you" i whined, rubbing into their pelts. "We missed you to, Rebish, Rusket, and Arrow are patrolling the surrounding area" Casper said as Slaightstar came over. She nodded as we went into the camp after the patrols had returned, she sent a patrol to gather moss while the rest of us worked on building and fixing the dens.

 I watches as the hunting patrol left, it's been a rough settle but we ended up settling in pretty well, most of the dens were strong and up but some still leaked when it snowed to much, my thoughts were interrupted when i heard shouting."Slaightstar! Badgers!" we turned to see Tangledclaw, Frostwing, Featherpaw, and Rusket. Tangledclaw was missing some fur, Rucket's tailtip was cut to it wasn't black anymore besides some small fur parts, Frostwing and Featherpaw looked fine from were i was. Two big badgers and four tiny ones ran into the clearing. "I though you cleared out the badgers!" Sparkeye hissed, ever sense Hazelkit took interest in becoming our medicine cat with Shineclaw and Starclan watching over her, she found out Slaightstar is expecting Sparkeye's kits and Sparkeye has been so overprotective. "We did, they came back" Tangledclaw hissed as he jumped onto one of the badger's back, digging his teeth and claws into its fur, it let out a loud screech. I jumped at one of the smaller ones, pretending to swipe at its eyes before dodging last second to rake my claws over it's neck or underbelly. Ivypaw joined me and together we started driving back the babies, i jumped onto one's back and dug into its neck, somehow, it grabbed me and threw me off, i went flying and hit the ground with a thud. I heard it and it's littermates chasing after me, two appeared and growled, coming closer, but before they reached me Stormpaw jumped in front of me, his fur bristling to make him look bigger then he really was. When one tried getting close he'd swipe at their muzzle and it would retreat, a call of their Mother dying sent them running, but as soon as they turned Stormpaw jumped onto their backs and bit into their necks, knowing the wound would kill them soon. "Spottedpaw are you ok?" he asked, running to my side. "I'm fine, thanks" i smiled as he helped me up and we limped into camp. "Is everyone ok" Slaightstar asked while Hazelkit ran around treating wounds. "This may not be a complete ceremony but its close enough. Featherpaw, Ivypaw, you two shall be knows as Featherwind and Ivyfall" Everyone cheered and Hazelkit and Mosskit purred at their mother's side before we all retreated to our dens to go to sleep.
