Lance’s POV

I saw someone. She’s cute. She is crying. I want to ask her why is she crying but mom is holding me tight and we walked away from her.

I tried to pull my hands off my mommy but she said “Lance hwag makulit ngayon. We’ll play later nalang, is that okay with you baby?”

Now we’re back at the big building. Mommy opened the door with numbers on it, 444. Xyla is there. Crying. Mommy went to her and kissed her and said “we’ll talk later okay? Lets play with your kuya Lance later. So don’t cry na baby.”

“uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Mommy! My toy!!!” Xyla cries awfully loud! I plugged mommies earphone and listen to a song. It was an old song. I couldn’t listen to it all the time but I need this now. Xyla is crying, very loud. She’s loud like mommy. -___-

Mommy went inside their room. Xyla is still sniffing like the girl I saw earlier. They’re alike.

“Xyla” she ignored me. -____-

I walked closer to her and gave her my chocolate. “eat this. It’s sweet. It will make you happy”

“my toy!!!” -___-

“what toy?” she has too many toys. Already. What’s wrong with her toy?

“nitakbo ni doggy” TToTT “kuya is my toy yummy?”

“I’ll buy you toy. For the meantime, eat this” I gave her my chocolate. Mommy said to give this to someone when they are hungry or crying. She said it will make them happy.

“YEY!!! BUY ME! BUY ME TOOOOYS!”

“kuya! Lagay ko ikaw band aid sa cheek.” ^o^ now she’s happy.

I went out of the building again, went straight to the beach. There, I bought toys for Xyla so she won’t cry again. So I can sleep. So I can read. -____-

After buying new toys for my sister, I saw my nanny looking for me that’s why I ran and hid in the cottage full of flowers. I wonder if she can find me here.

Someone went inside the cottage too. It was the girl from earlier.

“why are you crying?” I asked her. She stared at me for a moment. “are you foreigner? Can’t you speak nihongo instead? Or tagalog?” she asked me confusedly.

“I asked first. So don’t answer me with a question too. Why are you crying? Are you alright?”

She sniffed and started crying again. -___-

I don’t have chocolate. I already gave it to my little sister. I put down the toys and went closer to her.

“why are you crying?” I asked her again.

“Rex-nii , Lavi-nii at Shizu-nii! Iniwan ako. Laro silang three” TT___TT

“wala akong friends. I want to go home. I want my friends! I don’t want to swim!”

I picked a flower and put it behind her ear. She looks good with the flower.

“there. Don’t cry” finally, she stopped crying. I even wiped her nose using my handkerchief. -____-

“don’t cry, papangit ka. If you’re ugly then I can’t marry you.” She’s pretty. She has long and soft hair. Her nose is already red and her face is also red.

“arigatou” is that an alien word? Is she alien?

But even if I can’t understand her I felt like kissing her forehead, that’s why I did. It made me smile and made her shock.

“haru jusko kang bata ka! Kanina ka pa namin hinahanap! Papatayin mo naman ako sa nerbyos ser!”

Yaya took my hand and held it tight. Still, the girl is not talking. Yaya and I started walking when she finally asked my name. I stopped walking and so did yaya.

“I am Nathan, 10 years from now I’ll meet you again and I’ll marry you” I said honestly. Then yaya started walking again. She’s tensed. And for the last time I looked at the kid, she was touching her forehead, the part where I kissed her.

“aynaku ser! Kung anu-anong sinasabi mo dyan. pagagalitan ako nung magulang mo eh”

“Ya, I like her”

“ser naman limang taon ka palang di mo pa alam yang like like na yan” I’m turning six tomorrow. I’m not a kid anymore..

“I left Xyla’s toys” -____-. I pulled my hands away and ran fast. I was panting and walking straight to where the toys are. I looked around but the girl is not there. I’ll look for her when I’m big.

I’ll tell that to mommy.
