"I wish I could just forget you!"

I yanked the jacket from off the hanger and slung it around my shoulders. I grabbed the keys off the counter and got into the car, immediately driving off without a second thought.

I started driving down the road, not daring to look back. I zoomed down the road, getting faster and faster without caring.

I wasn't paying attention to anything- my mind was racing and it was like I didn't have control over my own body- but that's just an excuse. It's all my fault for what happened to me.

I crashed straight on into another car, and all I remember was a burning pain in my chest and a horrible headache, before everything went dark.

I opened my eyes, well, barely. I was so weak I could barely do that simple action. I looked around and recognized the familiar surroundings- I was in the hospital.

I looked beside the hospital bed, hoping Seungmin was there,

but he wasn't.

Maybe... maybe he doesn't know yet. Yeah. Once he knows he'll rush here immediately and he'll embrace me and everything will be okay. We'll apologize and I'll heal and we'll go home together and everything will go back to normal.

I kept repeating it to myself until I started to believe he was coming, even if he wasn't.

The door opened, and I gasped. "Seungmin?" I mumbled quietly.

But no. It was just the nurse.

She recognized the sad look on my face and asked me if I needed anything.

"Is... Is Seungmin coming?" I ask her, and she slowly shakes her head.

"I'm sorry y/n, but I don't think Seungmin's coming back."

"What... what do you mean?"

"Just rest, and they'll be back to pick you up tomorrow."

"Hm? Who's picking me up?"

"You forgot AGAIN?"

"Hm? Forgot what?"

The nurse let out a sigh before gently making me lay down on the bed.

She walked over to another room where she made a phone call, where I could hear her voice still. But I don't think she knows I can hear her.

"No, unfortunately it happened again. She forgot again, and her condition hasn't gotten any better. I don't think it ever will."

What? What's my condition and what hasn't gotten better? Was I that badly injured? Where's Seungmin? He should be here- he always is.

"I'm afraid she's going to have to stay at the asylum, at least until it gets a little better."

An asylum? Why would I need to go to an asylum? I'm perfectly fine, Seungmin's waiting for me back at the house. I just need to heal and go back to him and it'll be normal again. Right?

She hangs up and enters the room again, and tells me they're here to pick me up. She helps me stand up and leads me over to a car where I sit in the back seat. The car starts and it's completely silent, so I speak up.

"Are you guys taking me back to Seungmin?" I ask them eagerly but they just remain silent, and they look a little disappointed for some reason.

"Hello? Can you guys hear me? Where's Seungmin? He's probably worrying about me. Can you guys call him and make sure he knows I'm okay and on my way back home?" I ask them, but still, they remain silent.

"Helloooooo? Anyone there?"

"Anyone?"

"Can I at least see your phone so I can call him at least?"

"Where are we going?"

"Does Seungmin know I'm okay?"

"Can I call Seungmin to tell him that I'm sorry that I called him all those things and I said I wanted to forget him? Please?"

I kept trying to get them to say SOMETHING, but they both refused. But I kept trying until we reached a strange building.

They led me inside and put me inside this strange room. I've never seen it before but it feels familiar for some reason.

They left the room and locked it, but before the last guy left, I ran up to the door.

"Wait!" And he actually looked up at me. "Can you please tell Seungmin I'm sorry and that I love him? Please?"

I pleaded, tears forming in my eyes.

The guy nodded his head before walking away, and I sat on the bed. I didn't know what to do, and I just started bawling.

I wasn't really sad, I don't know why I was sobbing so much but I couldn't help it for some reason.

I just hope Seungmin will forgive me.

I feel like this would be confusing asf to understand so I guess I will explain it.

So, basically, Seungmin d!ed a few years ago in a car crash. They were driving and they crashed, and Seungmin d!ed a the next day meanwhile y/n suffered memory loss and all that good stuff.

And y/n here started going crazy. She started hallucinating that he was still alive and there with her, and so she was sent to a mental asylum.

They thought she was doing better so they let her go and she moved into a house of her own, and she forgot everything about the asylum and the death. So when she crashed again, the nurse was upset when she asked if Seungmin was coming.

So basically a shorter version:

Seungmin d!ed in a car crash and y/n had injuries that caused her to have some memory loss. She hallucinated that Seungmin was still alive and was sent to an asylum but they let her out because she was doing better(or so they thought). She forgot about the asylum and went back to hallucinating, where she hallucinated an argument and ended up in the hospital and was sent back.
