happy belated valentines day! (love being a procrastinator!) as promised last year here is a presentation on fictional women i definitely had a crush on growing up but didn't know. (this was supposed to be posted for pride month but i got so busy in june).

there's no pros and cons this time because women have no cons (i'm joking. it's because i vaguely remember half of these characters so finding pros and cons would have been hard). instead you get random commentary! (the small text might be hard to read so below the photo is the same text). also they're in chronological order (i think).

-mermaids!! well i wanted to be a mermaid so i did want to be her but

-i need to have a crush on a character in everything i watch. which men was i supposed to have a crush on? lewis? well yes but also have you seen cleo (& now rikki)

-badass. i blame her for my attraction to badass women)

-i need to have a crush on a character in everything i watch. when i watch something i need to have a crush on a character and for pairs of kings there wasn't any guy so. (i obviously never realized this but now i know)

-benny weir i'm sorry. listen benny is #1 and my first crush but...

-i feel like deep down i knew?? i think if i knew women could like women i would have realized

-i really wanted to be her. like she doesn't want a prince and she's badass?? sign me up

BECA MITCHELL - PITCH PERFECT
-gay panic in the videotron parking lot. looking back i'm like girl you were always in love with beca and idk how you didn't caught on. (specifically that moment in the videotron (like blockbuster) parking lot when we rented the dvd).

-special shout-out to hailee steinfeld. to quote mike's mic "i don't really know why but i'm a big hailee steinfeld fan. it feels kind of pre-programmed in a way like she hasn't really done anything to make me go "i'm going to support this woman with my life" and yet i do".

VICKY LACHAPELLE - L'APPART DU 5e
-my first fandom. the way i was obsessed with this show (and her)

-sarah-jeanne labrosse. she also played in a show called le chalet and i could not stand that show but i was seated every episode for 3 reasons : 1- it was on the living room tv so i had no choice. 2- sarah-jeanne labrosse. 3- pierre-luc funk (the chokehold this man had (and still has) on me should be studied).

MACK FOX  - TEEN BEACH MOVIE
-no one can know i liked this movie. i watched this the night it premiered (in french) and i was obsessed but i was like "no one can know i like this movie" for 2 reasons : 1- it's a musical / romantic comedy and i was in my "i'm different phase". 2- bisexuality

SOPHIE NÉLISSE
-not for any roles. just her. i remember watching salut bonjour (like good morning america) they had her in an interview and they said she was in an american movie. and i remember being like "a quebec actress in an american movie omg this is so cool". then i was just like interested (i guess you could say) about movies/tv shows she did but i never watched any (until yellowjackets)

GISELLE BELLAMY - THE NEXT STEP
-i wanted to do gymnastics because of her. my skills were cartwheel, bridge and a (very slow) front handspring. (rip to my back flexibility).

-my favourite character. she wasn't there much in the first half of season 1 but she was my favourite character

-there's just always been something about raven reyes. they could never make me hate you queen

-shout-out to clarke and octavia. & pretty much all the women on this show

+ also semi related (this is about the show). i watched season 1 when season 2 was already airing (we got shows/seasons a year-ish later), so i watched the second season on youtube (like full episodes in a video. that is wild) so i was able to watch season 3 (& on) in english but i still decided to watch season 2 in french and i remember watching the clexa kiss episode and they like argue once then they argue and kiss but i didn't remember and during the commercial break i was furiously looking on youtube because i thought they cut the kiss and i was upset (i was solely upset "OTHER PEOPLE" didn't get representation obviously (i was a VERY passionate ally)).

BRENDA - MAZE RUNNER
-my favorite character. at this point i had read the scorch trials and saw some news that rosa salazar was casted (& more importantly a picture) and i can't tell you what went on in my mind but suddenly brenda was my favourite character

-my favorite actress. i remember in 7th grade we had an english project where we had to do a project on either our favourite actor/actress or two other options i don't remember. and i decided to do mine on rosa salazar and idk what didn't click in my head because i literally hadn't seen her in anything my thought process was she's gonna play my favourite character.

EMMA DUVAL & BROOKE MADDOX - MTV SCREAM
-my scream queens. i love them <3. also women covered in blood <3

-i was obsessed with them. and maybe i still am. (i am)

WILLOW MORENO - THE ROYALS
-willow showed up on my screen and idk what happened but i was obsessed. then she showed up (some episode) later and i was so excited. in season 4 she definitely was my favourite character and in the finale (& last episode of the show) she looked so good

-special shout-out to eleanor. i definitely thought eleanor was cool but i don't really think it was a crush but...

-the icon the legend the moment. HER. she was the gaywakening for the people jade west didn't get

-the best movie i had ever watched. this movie is an okay movie but to me it was CINEMA

-i was obsessed with margaret qualley. i made her the fc of one of my oc because i liked her so much (rip mac i'll always remember you)

-nancy wheeler - stranger things. i loved her before i even watched the show. fashion icon

-tokyo - la casa de papel. you and rio need a third? ;)

-jane margolis - breaking bad. i watched breaking bad and i was extactic because i was like omg that's the girl who plays jessica jones (mind you at that time i hadn't seen a single mcu movie or tv show)

-qi'ra - star wars. she looked so hot omg

-martha nielsen - dark. there was a bts picture for season 3 released and as i said somewhere else "i saw lisa vicari in that wig* and something lgbtq+ happened to me" *(wig not pictured)

-colleen wing - iron fist. this is a colleen wing stan account

HONORABLE MENTIONS
-the dicks in euphoria. (i was the first time in my life seeing a dick and i was traumatized (still am)).

-when they sang take a hint in victorious. something happened inside my brain and it wasn't heterosexual.

WHO MADE ME REALIZE
-sue gilberts (in the golden dress) - dickinson. i was obsessed with this dress for a solid month, then i vividly remember i was washing my hands and i went "i like women, fictional ones at least".

-fallon carrington - dynasty. liz gillies will turn you kids gay one way or another.
