*Amir, Yusra, Kareem and Ayyoub are sitting on a giant sheet in the family room. A whole bunch of craft supplies are spread out around them, and The Incredibles is playing on the television. It is their weekly 'Baba and his boys' art day, and today, Yusra decided to join them.*

Yusra: *who is coloring in a Disney coloring book* Ayyoubi habibi what are you making?

Ayyoub: *who is gluing random things together* I can't tell you Mama! It's a surprise!

Yusra: *in amusement* Oh okay. Sorry habibi. Baba, what are you making?

Amir: *who is covered in glitter after Kareem accidently tripped and knocked half of the container on him. It's even in his hair.*  I can't tell you Mama! It's a surprise!

Yusra: *rolling her eyes at him* Oh I'm so sorry! Kareemo, are you making a surprise too, or can you tell me?

Kareem: I am making the bestest thing of all!

Yusra: What are you making habibi?

Kareem: I am making a robot!

Yusra: *looking at the pile of cotton balls, beads and popsicle sticks that are sloppily glued together and doesn't look anything like a robot* Wow Kareemo! It looks great!

Kareem: *beaming* thank you Mama!

Yusra: You're welcome baby.

Amir: Love, did you talk to Ilham recently?

Yusra: I talked to her this morning.

Amir: Any news?

Yusra: She said she's been having false contractions on and off the past few days, so she feels like its going to happen tomorrow In Sha Allah.

Amir: In Sha Allah. I'm surprised she has lasted this long! She's never gone a full nine months with any of the babies!

Yusra: *nodding* I know. I think the longest was Layla and she was eight and a half months.

Ayyoub: Mama! Mama I have to ask you something!

Yusra: Yes baby?

Ayyoub: How come, how come Khaltu Ilham's tummy is so big? *he raises his hands in the air* it didn't used to be big!

Yusra: *laughing* because she has a baby in there!

Ayyoub: *with a gasp* did she eated the baby?!

Yusra: Of course not!

Ayyoub: *in confusion* then how did it get in there?

*Yusra and Amir exchange a glance, but before they could say anything, Kareem comes to the rescue*

Kareem: *rolling his eyes* Ayyoubi! Everyone in the whole world knows!

Amir: *in a warning voice* Kareem.

Kareem: Sorry Baba.

Ayyoub: But I am part of the world and I don't know! How did she get the baby in her tummy!?

Kareem: Amu Hisham put the baby in there!

Yusra: *in alarm* Kareem how do you know that?!

Kareem: *shrugging* I just knowed!

Yusra: But how?!

Kareem: Because I knowed that everyone has a Mama and a Baba! So if the Mama has the baby in her tummy, the Baba has to put the baby there. *he gives a giggle* Mama, you had two babies! You hafta know this!

Amir: *laughing* Yeah Mama!

*Yusra smacks his arm*

Ayyoub: But how does the Baba put the baby in the Mama's tummy?

Kareem: *looking back down at his masterpiece* I know but I'm not telling.

Ayyoub: Okay. Do you know Baba?

Kareem: *surprised that his brother isn't asking him* I really do know Ayyoubi.

Ayyoub: Okay. Baba's gonna tell me.

Kareem: I could tell you.

Ayyoub: It's okay Kareemo, I'm gonna, I'm gonna ask Baba. Baba, do you know?

Amir: *smiling* I do.

Ayyoub: *quickly scrambling into his father's lap* can you tell me!?

*Once again Amir is saved by his older son who doesn't like not being the center of attention*

Kareem: Ayyoubi! I'm the older brother, it's my job to tell you!

Ayyoub: *looking at his brother skeptically* but you aren't a Baba! Do you really know?

Kareem: A course!

Ayyoub: Okay can you can you tell me please? How did Amu Hisham put the baby in Khaltu Ilham's tummy?!

*Yusra and Amir hold their breaths wondering what is going to come out of their four years olds mouth*

Kareem: Amu Hisham gave Khaltu Ilham's tummy a boussa (kiss) and said Bismillah!

Yusra: *looking at Amir with a smile on her face and whispering* Awwwwww!

*Amir brings her hand up and kisses her palm*

Ayyoub: *looking at Amir* Baba, did you do that to Mama's tummy for me!?

Amir: *with a straight face* Yes.

Ayyoub: *with such a large grin* that's nice!

Kareem: Hey! What about me!?

Amir: *laughing* Yes Kareem, I did it for you too.

Kareem: *with a satisfied expression* good!

*the boys go back to their art and watching the movie, and it's quiet for the next half hour with just the occasional exclamation or question from one of the boys. After a while, Yusra gets up to start dinner, and Ayyoub looks at Amir*

Ayyoub: Baba?

Amir: Yes albi?

Ayyoub: Can you give Mama's tummy a boussa again?

Amir: *in amusement* why?

Ayyoub: So we can get a baby!

Amir; You want us to have a baby?

Ayyoub: *nodding* yeah! But can you say Bismillah so this baby will be a girl?

Amir: Why do you want a girl?

Ayyoub: *giggling* because there is too many boys! Mama needs a girl!

Amir: *laughing* Okay habibi. *he turns back to his project, but then looks up as he feels Ayyoub staring at him* What?

Ayyoub: Baba! You hafta go do it now! We need a baby!

Amir: Okay, okay. I will see what I can do, but you will have to make Duaa to Allah that it is a girl!

Ayyoub: I can do it! *he closes his eyes really hard as if he is making Duaa with all of his heart, and Amir kisses his head, before going into the kitchen*

Yusra: *who is cutting up onions* hello habibi

Amir: Hello love.

Yusra: Are you guys done already?

Amir: No, but I was sent in here by Ayyoub to kiss your tummy and say Bismillah.

Yusra: *laughing* oh that was so cute!

Amir: I know. He said I had to come do it right now because he needs a baby sister. So, on that note! *he pulls her into a hug, and starts to kiss her.*

Yusra: *once they pull apart* Amir! We are not doing that now!

Amir: Well I know that! Sheesh, give me some credit!

Yusra: *smiling* but he said he wants a baby sister?

Amir: Yeah. He said it is because there are too many boys and Mama needs a girl.

Yusra: Aw, that's so cute! *she is quiet for a second before she looks up at Amir* I wouldn't mind another baby. Of course I would love a girl, but a boy would be nice too.

Amir: *his eyes widening in surprise* you want another baby?

Yusra: *shrugging* I wouldn't be against it.

Amir: Well then. There is only one thing to do.

Yusra: What's that?

*Amir kneels down on the floor in front of her, and puts his hands on her waist.*

Amir: *kissing her stomach* Bismillah.
