Apologies
Scott's legs move quickly against the night air. The wind slaps him in the face, and Scott thinks he deserves it. He knows how sexual Alex can get when he's drunk. And he just let him pull him onto the bed. Let him kiss him. Scott rubs his lips harshly with his hand.
It wasn't like him to let Alex take control like that. He was physically stronger than Alex, but after a few, alright, more than a few, drinks, he wasn't very convicted. But that kiss really sobered him up. He looks up to the street sign to see 20th St. in big bold letters. He had unknowingly walked to Mitch's apartment.
Oh well. He thought. Better sooner than later I guess. He was so remorseful. He felt like he cheated on Mitch. And they hadn't even been dating for a full twenty four hours yet.
He climbed the stairs slowly, dreading the confrontation with the brunette. He's going to dump me. Scott thought. I cheated and he's going to cry and I won't be able to comfort him because he'll push me away. Alone tear made its way down Scott's cheek as he stopped in front of Mitch's door.
He thought about when he had stopped in front of the Sephora in hopes of getting an extra look at the beautiful brunette. Mitch had met his eyes and smiled. And Alex had pulled him away, telling him he was creeping the poor brunette out.
Another tear slips from Scott's eyes. He loves the boy inside this apartment. He knows it's too fast, but he doesn't care. All he cares about is the boy inside his apartment, probably asleep. Another tear. The boy he is going inside to apologize to. A small sob escapes Scott's lips. The boy who will be disgusted at Scott's actions and tell him to leave. Tears stream down his face.
He shakes his head, wiping the tears from his face. His hand hesitantly rapped on Mitch's door, creating a small knocking sound. He was sure Mitch hadn't heard it. But a small clawing sound started on the other side of the door.
"Wyatt?" Scott asks with a shaky voice, crouching down to the floor. "Can you go get daddy?" Scott asks. He shakes his head at his childish behavior and stands up, turning around to leave. But the clawing stops and he hears the soft passing of paws against Mitch's kitchen tile. Is the cat that smart? He turns back around to wait by the door.
He hears loud footsteps and muttered curse words as the door opens. It reveals a disheveled Mitch, his brown hair in a bun on top of his head. "Scott... What're you-Oh my God! You're crying." Mitch says, pulling Scott inside the apartment.
He shuts the door and turns around to face Scott who has put on a brave face. But Mitch can see through the façade. He's put on enough brave faces to know what one looks like. "Scott. What's wrong?" Mitch asks, wrapping his arms around the taller man. Scott embraces the brunette tightly, thinking that this will be the last time he'll be able to.
"Scott, honey. What's wrong?" Mitch asks again. Scott releases Mitch and looks at his feet. "I'm sorry Mitch. I really am. I didn't think he would kiss me. I really didn't. But I care enough to get him in his bed. And I am so sorry." Mitch stares at Scott with wide eyes as he processes what little information he got from his boyfriend. Did he cheat on me? Mitch asks himself.
"What happened?" Mitch asks again, bringing Scott to the couch. He sits down but Scott pops back up and starts to pace around the room. He was still a bit confused.
"I got home and Alex was there. He was drunk off his ass. I know how sexual he can get when he's drunk. But I was tired and wanted to go to bed. So I was trying to get him in his bed and he pulled me down on top of him. He rolled on top of me and kissed me." Scott pauses, looking at the brunette. Mitch looks at Scott with a sad look in his eyes. "And I let him." He says quietly, looking back at the floor.
"But I pushed him off of me and ran over here. Mitch I am so sorry. I didn't mean to. I didn't want him to. It just happened." Scott finishes quickly. He looks up at Mitch who has tears in his eyes. "Scott..." Mitch starts, but that's all it takes for Scott to burst into tears.
"I'm sorry Mitch. I didn't mean for it to happen. I feel nothing towards that man except friendship." Scott says, wiping tears from his face. "Scott!" Mitch says loudly, causing Scott to look at the brunette. "It's okay. I forgive you. It's okay. It's okay." Mitch says, walking towards Scott. Scott nods, meeting Mitch halfway. They wrap their arms around each other in a meaningful embrace.
"I'm sorry Mitchie. I didn't mean it." Scott says. Mitch nods. "It's okay. I forgive you." Mitch says. Scott smiles into Mitch's neck and kisses it lightly. Mitch shivers at the contact, which makes Scott kiss the same spot again.
"Stop it." Mitch says without much conviction. Scott smiles. "You know you like it." He says teasingly, but pulls away all the same. They stare at each other for what seems like an eternity before Wyatt rubs between the two men.
"Do you want to stay the night? To clear your head?" Mitch asks. Scott looks into Mitch's eyes before nodding. "Please."
