So we ( as in my team at school) was assigned a project called 'introspections' and basically we have to give a 5-7 minute presentation on how we grew between seventh and eighth grade. Most of the people on my team (including me) we're unhappy with this project because honestly we haven't changed hugely in just one year. The project required you to have a visual aspect in your presentation and for you to speak in front of a class on why you chose your visual example which could be an imovie, slide show, art, food, etc. And to top it all off it counts as a grade in EVERY one of my core classes! Anyway I struggled to find a way to express how my confidence in my self grew (that was what I chose to do for the project). I had a lot of ideas and if anyone is curious about them I have no problems sharing but either way I somehow managed to settle on the idea of doing an oak tree sapling and a fully grown oak tree to symbolise the growth of my self esteem and sense of self worth. If you notice the roots in the sapling painting are shallow where as the roots in the oak tree painting are much more deeply rooted. This represents how much more grounded I am because of my friends and grades and how easy it was to uproot me before when now I'm very attached to my friends and school.
