This is Brendon,he's just my super annoying coworker,his older brother owns the store so he's basically allowed to do whatever,he flirts with me constantly and is always asking for me to meet up with him after work,luckily I can always use taking care of (s/n) as an excuse but it doesn't exactly cover work hours

"Go away Brendon I've told you 100 times I'm not going to go out with you"

"Now what's so wrong with lil' old me huh~"

"Urghhhhhhhhhh-Oh!look a customer guess I gotta get to the counter seeyaokaybye!"

You dash away from Brendon and up towards the counter as the customers walk in,you notice that it's a tall goat man monster along with a small human child,as they walk up to the counter they look at the collection of chocolate and candies and the child proceed to point to one,a bar of chocolate

"Goat dad can I have a choco bar?"

"Of course my child,excuse me ma'am but how much is one chocolate bar?"

"That'll be $0.63 please sir"

"Thank you miss!"

"You know,I'm glad that there are at least some humans and monsters getting along like this,it's nice to see we're not all racist idiots,not to be rude"

"Oh,why thank you miss,glad to see you are not against our kind"

"Yup,I think you monsters are pretty cool,sure when I was a kid everyone told me that you were heartless demons and I was scared,but when I saw monsters for what they really were I realised you guys are actually pretty cool,one of my best friends is a monster,we're actually in a band together!"

"What's the name of your band miss?"

The child asks,curiosity in their eyes

"The insomniacs,wanna hear our album?i have extras!"

"Can we goat dad?pweeeeaaaaas?"

"As long as their are no profanities I would be happy to accept"

You nod and hand them the album and a bar of chocolate,the child grabs them both in excitement then apologises for snatching,the goat man hands you the money and they exit the store

You hum happily knowing that someone else now has your album and that you met a nice new monster and child

"You'll really take any chance you can get to sell that crappy album won't you,you know if you let me join the band it might not sound like shit~"

"Fuck off" you huff in displeasure and stash the money in the register,you then take off your apron and cap,hang them on a peg,and make your way back home remembering you have band practice later

Arriving home you slam the door,lean against it,and slide down to sit on the floor letting out a huge sigh
You take your phone out of your pocket and call your rabbit monster friend (f/3)

"Yo! (Y/n) hows'it goin'?you phoning bout band practice?"

"Yup,should I come over in an hour,two,or right now,just got off work"

"Come over now if ya' can"

"K bye"

"Bye"

You place the phone down and walk over to your closet pulling out a grey shirt,a (f/c) jacket and some jeans (if this isn't what you want to wear just pretend it's something else) you slip on the clothes and stroll into the kitchen,spotting Barnaby chilling on the windowsill

"Yo b' I'm goin' off to practice,wanna come with?"

Barnaby squeaks an agreeing squeak and hops on your shoulder

You make your way out of the apartment and onto the street wondering were (s/n) was for a second and then realising she was at a friends house that night and that you have to pick her up after practice

You wander down the dimly lit street, it was 6:30 but it was winter so it was getting darker earlier in the day

You stop outside of your friends home and knock on the door

"Knock knock"

"Who's there?"

"Let me in (f/2)"

"Let me in (f/2) who~"

"Let me in (f/2) before I kick you in the shin"

"You can't do that from the other side of the door"

"BITCH I WILL CUT YOU"

"Pfft okay,okay calm the fuck down jeez"

The door opens to see (f/2) standing there,a goofy smirk on his face

"I will whoop your gay ass"

"There will be no ass whooping in my house missy!"

You walk into the house and glance into the living room where all the band equipment as set up,all prepped to go

(f/1) is sitting on a sofa-chair-thing in the corner of the room looking sassy as fuck and (f/3) is in the kitchen,his head in the fridge and cute little bunny tail waggling behinds him as he grabs some instant noodles,why were they in the fridge? I don't know why are you judging me

"Heh,okay let's get this show on the road,what song you wanna start off with?"

"Let's do 'everyone is gay'"

"Seriously..."

"What? I'm bored okay!"

"Mhmm imma not do that,what about this new one I wrote!"

The three look over the piece of paper in your hand and all nod in agreement,and with that you began to play the song

After 'jamming out' you part your ways and walk towards (s/n)'s friend house,hoping she's okay,she had been picked up from school by her friends parent and was now with her two friends,one was called lily,she was nice little girl with black skin and brown hair in a dreadlock ponytail and blue eyes,she was adorable and precious

The other one you hadn't met yet but had heard nice things about,you kept walking until you saw a nice and tidy well kept house,you stopped,checked the address and knocked on the door,lily opened the door with an adorable smile and called to (s/n) to come to the door

She rushed over and said goodbye to her friends and left with you,you heard a voice call for you but
(s/n) told you to ignore it,you found this strange but did as she told you for some reason

You entered your apartment and took (s/n) to bed,tucked her in,and went to bed yourself,waiting for tomorrow,it was Tuesday and you had Wednesdays off so all you had to do was take (s/n) to school and then relax

You let the temptation of sleep take you away and slipped into a state of unconscious slumber...
