Free to Imagine
Bright light woke me up. I thought I was back at my mother's house, but as the fuzziness cleared, I saw my apartment, but Victor wasn't in sight.
Curling back into my soft blanket, I stared at the empty TV screen for who knows how long until a heard soft footsteps. My first instinct was to panic, and I gripped my phone in my hand.
Someone put their hands around my eyes and I instantly started fighting back, clawing at the hands and trying to pry them off my eyes.
"Shhhh..." the person moved their hands and I instantly whipped around. It was Victor, who had a smile on his lips. Breathing out a sigh of relief, I jumped up, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I'm back," his smile grew and he started peppering me with kisses. "I missed you," I murmured into his neck and closed my eyes, enjoying the warmth.
"I know, I got your calls," he started playing with my hair, brushing it and loosing his fingers in it. Nodding, I felt my sense of security come down for once if a few weeks. Comfort flooded through my body and I squeezed tighter, not wanting the moment to end.
"Hey, I'm not leaving anytime soon. Calm down," he chuckled, kissing the top of my head and I felt his hand start to brush up and down my back in a calming rhythm.
"I was scared. I felt trapped and alone," alone... what a funny word. I wanted to open my eyes, but if I did... would he dissappear?
"I know, baby. It's alright. I'm right here," I felt his thumb brush my cheek. My face erupted into flames and I smiled. I smiled... for once since he left.
"Why were you always in such a rush?" I felt my smile falter. "What do you mean?" He started walking, still cradling me in his arms.
"When you left.... and when I was calling you... you seemed rushed," I was placed on the couch.
"I had cameras bombarding me," he sat next to me, putting an arm around my shoulders. Letting out a soft 'oh', I let him pick out a movie.
Though I was happy. Happy that he was here... something felt off. Victor hasn't said a word and he kept checking his phone, giving my heart a empty feeling.
Finally, his phone buzzed and he instantly checked it, then started texting someone, a small smile on his lips.
Tearing my eyes away, I tried to focus on the movie, but the want to know he was talking to was too great.
"Who are you taling to?" I asked, smiling to hide the fact that I was shaking.
"No one," he murmured, but didn't take his eyes off his phone.
"Lier," I muttered, crossed my arms like a child, and looked away, pouting.
"I gotta go. There's someone I have to meet up with," he put his phone in his pocket.
"Can I come with?" I grabbed his sleeve like a child and looked up at him. "No... stay here, okay?" He gave me a small kiss on my forehead before leaving me, once again, alone in the apartment.
Grabbing my phone, I texted Yuri right away.
(Y/n): Victor is acting weird
Yuri: wdym?
(Y/n): he came home only two minutes ago and he just left, meeting someone. He won't even tell me who
Yuri: maybe he's surprising you with something?
(Y/n):... I guess....
Yuri: don't worry. Victor loves you.
I turned my phone off and laid on the couch, watching the movie by myself, feeling afraid and abandoned.
Did he abandon me? What if he's cheating? Did he find someone while he was skating? Am I just a pawn and toy to him? Tears started budding in the corners of my eyes and I hugged my knees to my chest.
*a few hours later*
10:52 P.M.
He still hadn't come back. I had scooted into a far corner of out apartment, the darkness surrounding me. Someone walked in and I felt my heart start to race. They turned the lights on and I saw Victor, telling someone bye in the doorway. I could see a beautiful woman in the open door and I hid in my blanket, hoping he wouldn't notice me in my corner.
He closed the door and on hid cheek I could see a kiss mark, and tears started streaming out of my eyes again.
Victor must've noticed me sooner or later because his eyes widened and I saw him instantly trying to rub the mark off, "(Y/n).. it's not what it looks like..."
As he got closer, panic edged my mind and I felt like he was dangerous, "stay away..."
"(Y/n)..."
"STAY AWAY!" Instead of black dotting my vision, white instantly covered it. My ears started ringing and a steady beeping came to be. I could hear faint voices, getting louder. My head started throbbing and the white cleared.
I was in a darkish room with monitors all around me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Victor, his face in his hands, and next to him was Coach and Yuri.
I didn't have my blanket, I was half covered by a wooly blanket and my arms had goosebumps on them.
"She's awake!" Yuri gasped and Victor's head instantly snapped up.
I'm awake?
