New Starts
The quote of there is perfect for this chapter, the end of this book, yet this isn't fully the end. I am planning to make a sequel, and with the help of Lunarsun6, I believe that that book will be equally amazing, if not better.
*A few months later*
I woke up, but I wasn't in the hospital. My living room was laid out in front of me and the lights were off, blinds were closed, causing no light to travel in the cold room.
A single knock scared me and I got up, answering the door. Victor was kneeling in front of the door, flowers in his hands.
"Victor?" I rubbed my eyes, aware of the bags under them. I hadn't left the house in a while, much less sleep, since mother has died.
"(Y/n) (L/n), will you come to Russia with me?" His voice was confident and he stared me straight in the eye, his silver hair slightly moving in the breeze.
I stared back at him blankly before turning bright red, which showed deeply on my pale skin- which hasn't gotten sunlight in a long time.
He gave me a small nervous smile and looked at his lap, not saying a word.
"I would love to," I got on my knees and put my hands on his, making him lift his head. He grabbed my waist and spun me around, peppering me with kisses.
"When are you planning to-" I started, but he interrupted me, "look in the flowers," he had a big smile and his cheeks were painted with pink.
Giving him a strange look, I gently parted the flowers, instantly noticing a black box in the center, "Victor?"
His blush got worse and his smile got bigger by the second, "open it."
As I opened the box, I didn't even notice Victor had gotten back on his knee. A gasp came out of my mouth as I stared at the shimmering ring in the box. To be honest, these past weeks have been miserable. Not being to see my mom, and just at the age of 25 too, has taken a big toll on my life, and seeing Victor suddenly show up seemed to be the best thing that has happened.
"Vic-tor?" I looked down at him, my heart slowly speeding up and my face getting warmer.
"Will you, (Y/f/n), marry me?" He grabbed one of my hands while the other held the box with me.
"Y-Yes," I felt myself tearing up and Victor took the box from my hand and took the ring out. He grabbed my left hand and kissed it before gently sliding the band onto my ring finger.
Lately, I've been more sensitive, so I ended up breaking down, tears of joy pouring down my cheeks. Victor didn't judge, he just stood up and gave me a big hug.
I could already imagine it. A beautiful white dress, my hair softly hitting my shoulders, as I waltzed toward Victor, who was dressed nicely, his blue eyes shining. Usually I would've had my father walking me up there, his (h/c) hair brushed back with the help of a pinch of gel, his (e/c) eyes also shining. My mom would be in the front row and my dad would join her as we got up to Victor.
Victor snapped me out of my thoughts as he grabbed my chin and placed a gentle kiss on my lips.
Things could've been better. I might've still had a mom, maybe a dad. They could've been great parents-in-law for Victor. Great grandparents for loving children.
But all together, I knew not to be selfish, I'm happy to have Victor, Yuri, and Coach in my life. Again, life could be better, but life could be worse.
"To think all it took was beautiful skating to get where we are now," Victor laid a gentle kiss on my lips.
I smiled and thought back.
All it took was beautiful skating.
"-My skating Princess," he grabbed my hand and took me on a walk. Life could be better, but he could be worse. All I know is that I love Victor, and Victor loves me.
