Further to Champion
Back to the actual story.
"Don't get yourself hurt," my mom told me sternly. "I'm not going to," I tell her for the tenth time.
"I'm just afraid," my mom looks away. I kiss her cheek before going on the rink.
Just like the last, I copy the beginning.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Dawn. Then Victor and Yuri. My spin this time wasn't as close to the rink wall, thankfully.
I kept seeing them as I spun, until I stopped myself, finishing. The crowd went wild. I looked around at the people clapping, a smile beaming on my face.
I left the ice and was instantly taken in for a hug. My mom was smiling, yet tears soaked my shoulder, and Victor and coach were sitting there, clapping a smiling. Yuri was rubbing my mom's back, comforting her and smiling at me.
"I wish your father could see you right now," my mom sobbed.
I froze. My heart hammered in my chest. Not to be rude, but I had forgotten about my dad. I was just caught up in the competition.
"Dad is watching..." I said slowly. "He's just not visible."
The comment made my mom cry harder, but I took a deep breath, forcing myself to keep my tears in. "Your dad must be proud," Victor gently put his hand on my other shoulder.
I turned my head, tears finally escaping. Not wanting Victor to see, I also buried my head in the crook my my mom's beck.
Tears poured from my eyes, into my mom's neck. Sobs emitted from my mouth, no matter how much I tried to hide them. My mom broke the hug and grabbed my face, placing our foreheads together, "I'm so proud."
A smile tugged at my lips and I looked at Yuri and Victor. Coach looked like he was about to fall asleep and I rolled my eyes.

Coach and mom went out to get food, leaving Victor, Yuri, and me by ourselves. While the boys were hanging in their room, I stood on my room's balcony, looking at the city lights in the dark.
My mom was squealing when they announced me second, behind Yurio, who was pissed for some reason.
Someone knocked on the door, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Come in!" I yelled.
Victor walked in, in his hands was a single rose. The thorns were cut off, and he closed the door behind him.
"What a beautiful rose, Victor."
He muttered something before speaking it out loud, nervous, "N..Not as b...beautiful as you."
I giggled at his sudden shyness before hugging him gently, trying not to hurt my wrist.
We sat on the balcony, talking. Coach and mom have been out for ages, doing who knows what.

I don't remember what I said, but it set something off in Victor. He grabbed my waist, pulling us close. His lips pressed against my forehead, then trailed to my mouth, stopping at my lips. It was gentle and touching, not rushed, but still passionate.
Butterflies flew around my stomach, sending my heart fluttering.
He broke away, love and gentleness shining in his eyes.
"I...I love you..."
Shock went through my body, but a warm glow replaced it. Blush warmed my cheeks. "I love you too."
Was the I love you stuff too fast? Or was it cute? Plez let meh know <3
