Epilogue

[21 months later]

Jisung dropped his bag to the floor, sighing as he stretched out his aching back. He surely loved his job, but having to sit still 90% of the time was taking a toll on his spine. He didn't exactly sit upright, being gay and all that.

"Minho, darling?"

Quick and excited footsteps sounded through the kozy apartment, reminding Jisung of a happy dear trotting over floorboards.

"Jiji, come, come quick." Minho clasped his fiancé's hand, dragging him into their home.

Jisung chuckled, waving softly at their 2 cats on his way past them. The two orange animals looked at him curiously, already used to Minho's extremely jumpy and hyper behavior.

"Calm down love. Where are you taking me?" Jisung asked, letting Minho pull him over to the couch.

"Ok, so you know we're planning on getting married in 6 months, well I think we should postpone it." Minho said, smiling at his lover.

Jisung frowned, taking Minho's hand.

"Why, dear? Are you having second thoughts? It's-"

"NO! No! I just... Wanna invite a special someone." Minho stood up, running into the kitchen.

Jisung stayed on the couch, confused.

"A special some- Who?!" The latter called out after his fiancé.

Minho emerged from the kitchen again, holding a small gift in his hands.

"Here, here, open it!" Minho cheered, shoving it into Jisung's hands.

Jisung looked at Minho with a question mark hanging over his head, but started to open the gift with a breathless chuckle either way.

"Is it your brother? Because Felix, Chan and Jeongin said they have no problem coming back to Korea for our wedding, we don't have to postpon-" Jisung stopped unpacking the box, looking at Minho softly.

"OPEN!" Minho almost yelled, jumping in excitement, pointing excessively to the package.

Jisung held his hands up in surrender, quickly untying the ribbon and pulling the top off the box. The inside was filled with pink and blue gifting-paper.

Jisung softly unfolded the paper, looking inside it with his head tilted. He pulled out the stuffed beat, looking at it curiously.

"A bear?" Jisung questioned.

Minho nodded, pointing back at the box.

"There's more, come on!" The latter urged.

Jisung looked back into the box, pulling out the second item.

"A blanket?" Jisung asked, holding up the yellow, soft blanket.

Minho nodded happily, gesturing his eyes back into the box while jumping excitedly beside Jisung.

The younger chuckled, reaching into the box, grabbing the last item. It was much smaller than the other two, and made of plastic.

Jisung looked at it, furrowing his eyebrows. Slowly Jisung's eyes became wider, at the same time his jaw slowly dropped. Jisung's eyes finally landed on the two red lines.

The latter shot up, giving his fiancé the tightest hug, even tighter than when they got engaged 3 weeks ago.

"You're pregnant!" Jisung exclaimed, picking Minho up and spinning him around.

Minho nodded his head, laughing in happiness. Jisung set the elder down, pulling back from the tight hug. The latter grabbed his lover's cheeks, pulling him in for a firm kiss.

The two pulled away, looking straight into each other's eyes. Minho chuckled and wiped Jisung's happy tears.

"Stop crying idiot, I'm the one who's supposed to be high on hormones and emotional!" Minho exclaimed.

Jisung laughed and sniffled, giving Minho a hug and kissing his neck before lowering his hands and gaze.

The latter laid his hands directly on Minho's stomach under the fabric of his shirt, leaning his forehead on his lover's shoulder while looking at his hands.

Minho held his lover close, rocking them softly from side to side.

"You're pregnant." Jisung whispered, caressing Minho's stomach.

Minho kissed Jisung's head, humming softly.

"You're gonna be a father."

"We're gonna have a child."

"A baby made by you and me."

Jisung looked up, wrapping his arms around his lover's lower back.

"I love you so much, Minho." Jisung said, smiling through happy tears.

Minho wiped Jisung's face clean with his sweater paw, kissing Jisung's cheek before hugging him.

"I love you so much too, Jisung."

---

"Hello, dear." Mrs. Han softly said, sitting down across from her son.

Mr. Han followed, helping his mother - Jisung's grandmother - into her seat before taking his own.

Jisung smiled at everyone, feeling an odd but familiar feeling in his stomach. He hadn't seen his family in so long.

Jisung's 4 grandparents all greeted him politely, to which he greeted them back, bowing respectfully. Minho bowed as well, smiling at everyone. It felt weird, seeing his fiancé's family for the first time in the 2 years they had been partners.

Everyone ordered their food and drinks, just enjoying the delicious meal and some light conversation for the time being.

The adults all laughed, chatting about economy, the presidential election and politics - things that neither Minho or Jisung cared for.

"Jisung, dear. How have you been since we last saw you? It must have been 5 years since we last saw you." Jisung's grandfather asked.

Minho took Jisung's hand under the table. It was time for Jisung to tell the truth, he could keep hiding behind the phrase 'I'm fine' all his life.

"Actually, I did quite bad for a while. I lived on the streets some time, sleeping in an abandoned dumpster I had found the keys to. Most of the time I lived with a close friend of mine in an apartment though - which he paid for. I worked as a prostitute for a couple months, where I ended up getting sexually assaulted and raped by a customer." Jisung started.

The mood of the table went down, but Jisung didn't care. It felt good to finally get everything off his chest. He wanted his parents to feel some guilt for sending their son away, making his life so miserable for a long time.

"Oh my God." One of his grandmothers gasped.

Jisung smiled softly, looking up at his fiancé.

"About two years ago, Minho's family took me in. I lived there for a few months, until I moved out with Minho. We live in an apartment near the park with our two cats." Jisung smiled, pretending to be fine with everything.

Minho smiled at his lover, squeezing his hand proudly. Jisung sighed inaudibly, finally relaxing.

"That's... Not good, Jisung." Jisung's father said, looking at his son.

"Why didn't you contact us?"

Jisung sighed, looking down for a second.

"I knew how uncomfortable my... preferences make you. I didn't want to burden you any more than I already had." Jisung said.

The 6 adults were at loss of words, ashamed of how they never noticed Jisung's suffering. They didn't even try to reach out to 16 year old Jisung and ask if he was doing ok all alone in the world.

"But anyways, we didn't ask you all here today to deliver bad news. We actually have quite good news. In our opinion at least." Jisung tried to cheer up.

His grandparents smiled softly, one of them patting his shoulder in support.

"Minho and I are engaged, and even though we have had little to no contact with you, we would love it if you would come to the wedding." Jisung started, handing out the invitations he had brought along.

"Also I don't know if you noticed before, but my fiancé is pregnant. The child will be born about a month before the wedding, so I'd you do come, it'll be your first opportunity to meet our child. Your grandchild and great grandchild." Jisung continued.

Minho nodded along, looking around at everyone.

"But your fiancé is male? Isn't he?" Mrs. Han asked, looking Minho up and down.

"Yes, but because of medical reasons, he is capable of carrying out a child." Jisung smiled.

"That's amazing dear. We're so happy for you." Jisung's grandmother on his mother's side said, standing up to give the two young adults a hug.

Jisung and Minho stood up, hugging the woman back.

"Oh my, look at your baby bump. May I?" The woman asked, reaching out to touch it.

"Oh, yeah. Of course." Minho answered, looking at Jisung in surprise.

The latter chuckled, holding his fiancé close.

"Minho, right? I am looking forward to your wedding and to seeing your child. I am so happy for you two." Jisung's grandmother gave Minho a hug.

"Oh how lucky you two are to be able to carry out your own children. Take good care of my Jisung and his child for me, will you dear?"

"Of course, ma'am." Minho bowed.

"We as well will be looking forward to meeting your child and family on your wedding day." Jisung's grandfather on his dad's side said, giving the two a hug together with his wife.

The 4 grandparents surrounded the two young adults, touching Minho's stomach and asking questions about his pregnancy and family.

Jisung made eye contact with his parents, whom were watching with straight faces. He walked around the table to them, standing in front of them.

"We will not be attending you wedding ceremony, but we will attend the after party for the sake of meeting your child." Mr. Han strictly said, looking at his son.

Jisung nodded his head.

"Of course, I understand. Thank you."

"And congratulations dear." Mrs. Han softly said, gesturing Jisung in for a hug.

This is the end i guess :)

Peace out
