C A R T E R

Its been a week since Liam and I started dating, and it's been wonderful. Though it's hard keeping it a secret. It's like I'm forbidden to date him and I really wish this world were perfect. I wish people wouldn't judge you for how you look or who you date. I wish nobody cared about getting in your head and making you feel bad. Well, thats what I hope.

Anyway, tonight is the dance and I'm nervous.  Emma told me not to be its only a dance. I guess its just because I'm scared of people finding out.

I am currently walking to my last class of the day when i pass "The group" Blake says Hey, to me as we walk by. I say Hi back.

Oh wait! I forgot. The people in "The group" are Luke, Blake, Liam, Mitchell, And Parker. Five total. I don't know how or what made them popular, but they are. It's really confusing.

As I make my way to History, the 2 minuet bell sounds. I hurry up to the 2nd floor. Less kids then the 1st floor, which makes it easier. Once I'm in the room, I make my way to the back. I have no friends in this class and it sucks because the most popular girls are in this class. Lindsey Olson, Sofia Hess, and last but not least Ashley Olson. Lindsey and Ashely are twins. And they are really annoying. They think their all that.

Anyway, class starts and Lindsey keeps looking at me with a stupid grin on her "perfect" face. Like I said annoying.

The class goes on and the girls giggle and look back. I glare at them and go back to writing notes.

Again, its happens but this time they get detention.

"But, sir!! Carter was making us laugh!" Lindsey nags pointing at me. Ugh, this can't end well.

"Okay, carter detention!" He goes back to writing on the board as i roll my eyes. Classic Lindsey.

Class ends and we are dismissed. I rush to my locker and meet up with Nicole on the way to detention. She has detention in the room next to mine.

As we make our way up the stairs, Lindsey is passing us on the way up.

"Move you fat ass. I can't believe these stairs hold you." She snickers and pushes my books out of my hands. I roll my eyes and pick them up. As, I rush to history, Liam walks in as well. He spots me and waits.

"Hey babe." He whispers.

"Hey, you got detention to?"

"Yeah.. Was talking in class, you?"

"Lindsey.." I say, rolling my eyes in the process. He just replies saying oh. He kisses me and walks in with me following soon after.

As I was walking to my locker, i saw carter and Liam kissing. Luke was with me and saw it also. Shit.

I can't believe shes dating him. And she doesn't bother telling me. Shes so gonna regret it.

C A R T E R

After detention the girls and i went to the mall. Every one was going to get their dresses. The boys went also.

As we walk to Deb, our favorite clothing store, the girls talk and i zone out. Everything is going perfect. Like beyond perfect. No one has found out yet, and i plan to keep it that way.

We walk into the store and go to the dresses. They have everything short, long, puffy, any colors. You name it.

As i was sifting through the dresses, one caught my eye. Its a long ruffled puffy dress with a sweetheart neckline. The colors are light blue that fades to dark blue. It also has glitter all over it. I pick it off the rack and go to the changing areas. I try it on and it fits perfectly.

I walk out and look at the all around mirrors. Perfect.

"Where have y- Oh sweet jesus. You look wonderful. Thats the one." Emma gushes. I nod and walk back and change.

Now shoes. I walk over to the variety of shoes and start looking. Heels? Nah not with a long dress. So it looks like ill go with flats. I look at some blue flats and try them on. Love it.

I check them out and wait for Emma and Nicole. As they walk out we go to the food court. Everyones there. Even Liam. He sees me and winks.

We sit down and think about what we want. Just as we are about to chose someone gets everyones attention.

"EXCUSE ME!! I HAVE SOM WONDERFUL NEWS!!" She laughs.

"CARTER AND LIAM ARE DATING!! AND GUESS WHO TOLD ME, CARTER. LIAM TOLD ME."

I run up to Liam.

"Why?"

"Carter, i didn't-" He gets cut off by lindsey holding up a flash drive and smirking.

"Im sorry carter, but we have to break up." He says blankly.

"Liam. Why? Whats wrong?"

"I can't tell you, carter!!! Go away, and never talk to me again!!" He points to the door. I kick his nuts and run out the door crying.

How could he? He was the best thing thats ever happened to me. He broke my heart.

Emma comes out holding my belongings and hers. She takes me to her car and drives me home.

When we get there, she takes me to my room. She calms me down and says

"We have to go to that dance, we have to show him what he's missing."

And with that we get ready for the girls choice dance. Hair and makeup are being done and finally we are ready. Emma's dress is a pale pink with black sequence. it looks good with her hair curled and down.

My hair is a curled half up half down due. Emma did a terrific job on my smokey eyeshadow. Its perfect.

We arrive at the school, and hop out. As we make out way to the gym entrance, people stare at me. I suddenly feel insecure. People will be staring and creeping me out.

We walk in the gym and everyone stops dancing. They look at us with gapping mouths. Liam looks at me and we lock eyes.

I look away, looking at him is unbearable. Just him being in this room is making me nauseas.

We walk to "the group" and Luke checks me out.
