Chapter 3
Marcus// The Ark
People are walking around at a rapid pace everywhere, asking me things. The dropship has now parachuted and now there are issues.
A girl comes up to me, about to say something. "Not now." Now is not time for distractions.
"Total system failure, that's what we're looking at. All we know for sure is that they were off course when we lost contact, so-" I interrupt him. They're not landing at Mount Weather, that's all I needed to know.
"Tell me about communications."
"Other from the telemetry from their wristbands, we got nothing. No audio, no video, no computer link. Everything that we programmed in to help them is gone. They're on their own."

"Retrorocket ought to have tired by now." Terrified, I almost don't come up with a response. Sparks fly everywhere and the dropship is going down at a rapid rate, my heart is in my stomach. I don't feel good.
"Ok. Everything on this ship is 100 years old, right? Just give it a second." Wells doesn't respond as smoke starts filling the air and lights flicker again. I breathe heavily and shakily. Wells looks at me intently.
"Clarke, there's something I have to tell you. I'm sorry I got your father arrested." How dare he mention him. It's all his fault and when we're about to die he apologizes. Fuck him.
"Don't you talk about my father." I take a moment to look at him before looking away.
"Please, I can't die knowing that you hate me."
"They didn't arrest my father, Wells. They executed him. I do hate you." Those are the final words said as we stare at eachother, my stare full of hate.
The dropship slows down as we rock back and forth, sparks fly and lights flicker, the air filled with people's shouts.
There's a loud crash and all the machines whirring stopped. I breathe out. I'm still alive. And sadly, so is Wells.
"Listen. No machine hum." A random guy says. I think his name is Jasper or something. His friend beside him replies with a simple woah.
I look around and hear Wells speak. "That's a first." I still breathe heavily, and all out buckles click, releasing the buckles from our sweaty bodies.
I rush to check the two guys who followed Finn's lead. "Finn, is he breathing?" Finn shakes his head and looks genuinely guilty and bad.
"The outer door is on the lower level. Let's go." Some random dude says. Is he stupid? We could die.
"No. We can't just open the doors." I leave Finn and rush to the doors.
"Hey, just back it up guys." Some guard is standing in the front of the door, great another supervisor.
"Stop." I climb down the ladder and push my way through the big crowd. "The air could be toxic." I take notice of his sleeked back hair and brown eyes.
"If the air is toxic, we're all dead, anyway." He reaches to open the door, but before he could a girl speaks.
"Bellamy?" A girl higher on top of the crowd, she's probably standing on something. The man looks at her as his eyes get teary. Best friends? The girl jumps down and rushes towards him. When she really sees him, she looks shocked.
"My god, look how big you are." She hugs him as he smiles.
"What the hell are you wearing, a guards uniform?"
"I borrowed it to get on the drop ship. Someone has got to keep an eye on you." He laughs as he hugs her again.
"Where's your wristband?" I take notice he's not wearing one. Who does he think he is? The girl turns to me, giving me a nasty look.
"Do you mind? I haven't seen my brother in a year." My eyes widen in shock. Nobody has a sibling on the ark.
"No one has a brother."
"That's Octavia Blake, the girl they found hidden in the floor." Rumors fly past the dropship. Brother? I wonder how they kept it a secret for so long.
"Octavia, Octavia, no." The man, supposedly Bellamy, holds Octavia back as she struggles to go hit somebody. "Let's give them something else to remember you by."
"Yeah like what?"
"Like being the first person on the ground in 100 years." They smile at eachother before Bellamy reaches to open the door.
Everyone awaits to see our new home.
My eyes wince as light fills the room. So bright. Huge trees go up to the sky and there's green. Everywhere. The air smells good, unlike the ark. This is just how I imagined it. Beautiful flowers are around, or that's what I think they are, due to my research.
Octavia takes a few steps on the dropship door, while looking around. She takes a big breath of air and puts her hands on her side.
She jumps onto the brown ground as we all watch her anxiously. She smiles. She's not dead yet, so there's either no radiation or it takes longer to kill. She smiles while looking around.
She throws her hand in the side and screams "We're back hitches!" Everyone cheers and runs out of the dropship, feeling the dirt on our shoes for the first time.
I smile, looking around, my blue eyes filled with excitement.
I notice something, this isn't right. I glance around, taking notice in the burning trees from the dropship.
I look at us and the mountains ahead of us. Shit. I take a look at the map. This is all wrong.
"Why so serious, princess? It's not like we died in a fiery explosion." Not even that could make me laugh.
"Try telling that to the two guys who tried to follow you out their seats." I study the map.
"You don't like being called princess, do you princess?"
"Do you see that peak over there?"
"Yeah."
"Mount Weather. There's a radiation soaked Forest between us and our next meal. They dropped us on the wrong damn mountain."

I really like this chapter, it was my favorite part in the whole show for some reason. Maybe the way she said it or something... anyways... This chapter did have 2 point of views and you will probably see that happen a couple times.
