There was a slight change in the air, something that Niklaus barely noticed, not that he wanted to notice anything, he was only bothered with being able to get both him and his littlest sister to Mystic Falls as fast as humanly possible. Out of all his siblings, he felt more protective of her, mainly because he was in part responsible for the death of her twin, Henrik, but also because she was truly the youngest of them, barely over 15.

"You know I don't like surprises Niklaus." Skadi reminded in a slightly sharper tone, her dark and dull eyes narrowing at him quite dangerously, something that made him give her his best smile and claim "This one you will."

A bold lie, Niklaus knew it. All of his sibling and he had a special distaste for their homeland, hometown, with all the bad things that happened there and all the bad memories that followed, but he knew it was a bold lie due to the reason why he would be bringing her home.

A feral growl came from within the petite raven-haired woman, something uncharacteristic of her and something that surprised the older and taller man, the hand that had been on his chest pushed him back quite a bit, leaving Niklaus to look at his little sister with surprise clear in his features, she had never attempted to disobey him or go against his word or much less retaliate.

"I don't think I will." she told him, her voice grave and angry, alerting him that somehow, for some mystical reason she knew the destination of their trip, something that she confirmed when she walked up to him with an angry predatory look on her surprisingly sullen face and glared at him with such anger that he had never seen in her. "I don't think I'll enjoy visiting home for a insignificant reason such as a Petrova."

Whilst to Skadi the Petrova might be insignificant to Niklaus it was the most important thing in the world, for various reasons and one of them was the possibility of him breaking the curse that suppressed his wolf side. And if he didn't act soon there was no telling when the next döppleganger would come around.

"Which witch let it slip?" Niklaus questioned as calmly as he could, part of him already knowing the answer and praying to all the Nörse Gods that it was indeed a witch and not a creature from the beyond. His questioned did please Skadi, hell it was exactly the opposite of what she wanted to hear, she wanted him to tell her that she was wrong, that he was not taking her home because of a Petrova, but Henrik never lied to her before and she knew that he never would.

With a clenched jaw she blew out through her nose before turning around, "I'm not going on a wild goose chase brother." she told him, heading to the open kitchen and opening her almost bare fridge and grabbing a bottle of water, "It's not a wild goose chase Skadi, I have found Tatia's most recent döppleganger." Niklaus countered, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Amara." Skadi couldn't help but commented as she set the bottle and walked to the pantry. The blonde stopped rubbing the bridge of his nose and lifted his head at the location he knew his sister had headed into with a confused look on his face, "Who?" his British accent came forth more predominantly at the small word.

"Amara was the original döppleganger." Skadi informed as she returned with a bag of blood, holding it as far from her face as she could, her explanation did not reduce the confusion on Niklaus's face and she did nothing more to attempt to dimish it, merely throwing the bloodbag at her brother, watching catch it with ease and bite into it.

"The answer is still no." she told him, grabbing her water bottle and bringing it to her lips, her dull eyes never leaving her brother's vampiric features, "Not even for me?" he pressed, moving his red eyes to her, cleaning his mouth and allowing his vampiric features to retreat.
