♠♣♥Chapter 6♠♣♥
"Luke you've had the smug smirk on your bloody face ever since you joined us at the skate park.."
"I know why he's smiling.." Calum giggled.
"Did he get laid when we weren't looking or something?" Michael popped the tab on a can of pop and looked to Calum then back to me.
"No, but he's about to.."
"Calum!" I shouted, looking up from my phone to throw an empty bottle at him. It missed.
"Oh come on Lukey...we all know you're gonna nail that redhead till she can't walk for a week!"
I really, really wanted to jumo across the counter, run to Calum and kick his ass, maybe whack him upside the head even for effect, but I was too focused on tonight, too focused on her. I needed to bring my best game if I was ever gonna have a shot with a beauty like her. I know her type, her friends' type anyway; rich snobs who think anyone isn't their social class are worthless, and not worth their time. I wanted to be worth Victoria's time.
Ashton sighed from his spot on the couch next to Calum, leaning down to pick up the plastic bottle that I threw badly. "That chick you were texting?"
Calum answered instead of me, giving me time to plan everything out in my head as I got up and paced around the small kitchen. Michael laughed and got a kick out of it.
"Yeah, she's a smoking ballet dancer that we passed by on the way to the park. Before we left he actually grew a pair and asked her out."
Michael continued his laughter, and stopped to take a sip of his drink,"When you taking her back to the alley to 'do the deed'?
I shot a glare at the green haired asshole. I wasn't exactly planning on going that far tonight. I wasn't expecting that at all from me or her. Sad thing is, I actually did that once.
"Aww yeah like you did that Xena chick? Wasn't she a stripper?" Calum inquired like it was a casual question.
I watched Michael nod with a smirk before I couldn't take it anymore. "You assholes.." I mumbled before snatching up a pack of smokes from the counter and heading to the back porch.
"You love us!!" I heard Calum yell. I smiled, despite me not wanting to, and closed the back door, pulling out my lighter from my pocket to light one up.

Victoria checked herself promptly in the large wall mirror before Amelia strutted down the stairs in a cocktail dress that had way too many sequins. She looked good though, as always.
"Oh Vicky that dress looks adorable on you! Glad I picked it out for you.." She winked at her through the mirror. Victoria rolled her eyes at her, pinning her hair up in a bun, and fixing it, she had a bobby pin this time, hopefully it would stay.
"Hey..Amelia..when do you think the party will end?" She stuck a bobby pin in her mouth, helping her brace for Amelia's expected answer.
The pretty blonde finished walking down the stairs, and let her heels touch the smooth marble floor. She swayed her hips towards the front doors and peeked through the windows above it,"Honey you know parties last until about 2 or 3 in the morning...are you feeling ok? Do you not wanna go?" She frowned, turning from the doors to face Victoria on the other side of the room in front of the staircase. Amelia's house was huge, but it wasn't a mansion, it very well might as well be. It was like Amelia had inherited Daddy Warbucks' house.
Victoria finished up her hair, save for some hairspray to keep it that way, and turned to meet Amelia's worried eyes. "No, yeah..I'm fine Amy.." She smiled and pressed her dress down against her legs. She wasn't used to this kind of dress. "I do want to. Why else would I be here? I was just curious is all.." She shrugged.
Amelia stepped forward and studied her. "You're gonna invite that boy aren't you?"
She wasn't expecting that. Actually, she didn't know what was gonna happen. She completely forgot the party when she insisted the time where Luke would meet her. She didn't know what to do. Victoria made a face and shook her head as if she was disgusted. "Ugh, no." She was really glad Amelia was in the bathroom when Luke arrived before. "I'm not going to"
"Well good!" Amelia grinned and perked right up. "Because I invited someone you just might like.." She dragged it out in a sing song kind of way. Victoria knew exactly who that was, sadly. She put on a fake smile as Amelia turned at the sounds of cars pulling in. "Yay..."
"Oooh! It's 8! Right on time! Go on Vicky finish up getting ready! He'll be so happy to see you!" Victoria stared at Amelia like a deer about to get trampled as she ran towards her and pushed her to the top of the stairs. "Go on! Freshen up! I'll be down here ok?"
Victoria sighed as she watched her friend step carefully down the long staircase. A doorbell sounded through the whole house, so loud that Victoria had to cover her ears.
"Coming! Coming! Hold on!"
Victoria turned to walk into Amelia's bathrooms to check herself out. Her makeup was good, she admitted, she let her freckles show just a little, and her red hair was in a beautiful fancy bun. She didn't do half bad. She grabbed a can of hairspray and sprayed the liquid onto her soft hai, hardening it. When she set the can down on the sink, her phone buzzed from her purse. She looked at the bag before reaching in and pulling it out, seeing a new message from: Luke ^-^
She smiled at seeing it, unlocking the screen to view the whole thing.
"I dont mean to be a total girl and ask for directions..but...address? ;)"
Victoria grinned widely as she typed in the address of her extremely rich friends 'not mansion'

"Vicky!! Vicky! Oh here she is!"
Victoria groaned when she heard Amelia's voice ring in her ears. It sounded like she was dragging someone along too. Victoria was glad she had her back turned and stood at the refreshments table and the music was loud enough so she could pretend not to hear.
She felt a long, freshly manicured hand grab her shoulder and turn her right around, making her almost spill her punch.
"Vicky! Here he is! I told you I invited him!"
Victoria rolled her brown eyes at Amelia before shifting them slowly over to the man beside her.
"Great to see you again Vicky..you look gorgeous.." The tan, tall and very fit man in an expensive looking jacket and pants smirked at her. She rolled her eyes, knowing she was going to do that a lot more tonight. Hopefully not for long.
Victoria felt her phone buzz, and she considered picking it up but the man beat her to it. He took her hand gently in his and brought it to his lips. Amelia squealed in happiness, while Victoria was holding in a lot of anger that was threatening to let loose. She narrowed her eyes at him, only making his smirk grow and his green eyes pop.
"I'll leave you two alone then.." Amelia winked at her best friend and left, leaving the couple alone besides a large glass punch bowl.
"Sterling.." Victoria growled through gritted teeth.
"Ah, I see you remember my name after all this time.." He chuckled. Victoria ripped her hand from his grip, setting it inside her purse and gripped her phone. Sterling eyed her and looked her over, particularly looking at her bottom half. "You look really god Vic.."
"Don't call me that.." She hissed, pulling her cell out of her purse. She read the message silently. Maybe JackAss Sterling would get the message if she was on her phone. Win Win. For her anyway.
"How do you feel about a man who's fashionably early? I'm on my way ;)"
Victoria had to bite her bottom lip to shield the sheer joy and adrenaline she was feeling. Or maybe it was nerves. She wasn't sure. How the hell was she gonna sneak out? Wait, sneak out?
"You know it's rude to text while you're having a conversation with someone.." Sterline said lowly, inching a little too close for Victoria's comfort.
She sighed before she hit the send button on her phone. "Oh, i'm so sorry...were we having a conversation?"
"Big window, be there."
Sterling smirked and shook his head. Through all the bright lights and darkness of the party Victoria saw his eyes turn a different shade. It didn't scare her, but it gave her an odd feeling in her gut everytime she saw it happen. She despised those two years, and glad they were behind her. She wished she could say that for Sterling's sake. "Yes, I believe we were. So snippy...it's like you hate me or something.."
Victoria hoped and prayed that Luke would text back to distract her, but he never did, leaving her to actually speak to this tan pig. "Hate? You? Oh that's funny.." She harshly laughed, the sound dripping with sarcasm that she knew that it would get to Sterling's thick skull.
"Back to the point.." Sterling leaned forward closer, only about a mere lean towards her and their foreheads would touch. Victoria almost gagged. She was forced to look at his black stubble that framed his almost too perfect jaw, and his lips that she remembered the feel of unfortunately too well. She looked up to meet his eyes, narrowing her own.
"There is no point in this Sterling. We're over, you know that, and I sure as hell know that." She said plainly, backing up so she was against the punch table. This made Sterling laugh. He messed with the open front of his fancy jacket, the material looking almost obsidian like in the light they were in.
"I know that little Vixen.." Sterling smoothly raised his hand and stroked Victoria's cheek with his index finger, making her shiver in unpleasancy. She scoffed and shoved his hand away, can't helping but to blush at the old nickname that she was surprised a dumb ox like him remembered.
"So, why are you harassing me?" She questioned, about ready to splash a cup of punch all over his face.
"I just miss you Vicky..is that so bad?" He crossed his arms and raised a thick eyebrow. Victoria faintly reminsced about how she used to find that attractive.
"Yeah, it kind of is. Now I'm sorry Sterling, if you'll excuse me.." Victoria picked up her purse from the table and brushed her shoulder against Sterling, walking away from him. She saw the light shine on the window moments before, and prayed no one had seen. The room looked to be empty. It was Amelia's music room, the only one that had a huge window. Hopefully Luke wasn't as dim witted as Sterling. No, he was nothing like him.
She waltzed into the empty room, looking back at the front room where everyone was. She could be seen here, so she had to hurry. She looked out the window that was bigger than her and searched for any sign of him. That was when she heard a loud honk and two headlights come on.
"Luke!!" She whisper-yelled, more to herself then anyone, the window was still closed. She fixed thatand undid the latch, pulling the window wide open. She looked down to see Luke, standing a few inches below her in the garden, lip ring in full view with his smle.
"Hey baby doll.." He purred. Victoria watched his eyes take her in, but she paid no attention.
"Luke what if people heard you?!"
"Relax love, no one heard me, I could hear the music from a block away. Now come on, night's still young.." He outstretched his hand towards hers, and at that moment Victoria never felt unsure about anything more in her life, besides choosing to date Sterling.
She gulped and looked back at the party, hearing Luke sigh,"What's wrong? Aren't you coming?" He asked. Victoria was chanting YOLO in her head, but her heart was yelling NONO. She couldn't do this, she'd never snuck out before! Yet there was this strange compulsion that made her want to. It scared her a little.
"Luke.."
"C'mon Princess..I'm not gonna let anything happen to ya alright? Trust me?" He looked up at her with charming and kind ocean blue eyes. The ones she wouldn't mind drowning in at all, but she would never admit to herself.
She sighed and rolled her eyes at him, placing her hand in his. Luke smirked when he felt her touch, and yanked her out of the window and into his arms. Her perfume washed over him like a tidal wave, one he wanted to surf forever.
He ignored how close and warm she was to him and tilted his head at his car behind a rose bush, a smirk forever on his face. "How's about we go have some fun?"
