♠♥♣Chapter 2♠♥♣
Victoria's eyes narrowed, a tired groan rumbling in her throat. Sleep was still in her eyes, her bones and body aching as she attempted to sit up. She hadn't even drank that much. The dancing was the most she did last night.
She yawned, stretching out her arms and looking down at her baggy t shirt and shorts she had slipped on before going to bed. Her hands messed with the slightly torn trim of the old t shirt, showing it's current state. "What time is it..." She mumbled to herself, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. One eye closed she peeked at the digital clock that read 12:45.
"Damn!" She exclaimed out loud, knocking herself right out of sleep mode.
She ran a hand through her messy hair. Had she really slept the morning away? She got up quickly and went into her master bathroom, taking a peek into her mirror. Her red hair was only slightly tousled, her face deprived of the little makeup she always wore, but she snarled at the thin line of dried drool on her chin. She turned on the sink and splashed water quickly on her face, washing the substance off and brushing her teeth for a quick 2 minutes.
After her breath felt adequate and minty fresh, she decided to venture down the stairs. The living room was empty, and as always, huge. Maybe the kitchen?
Her parents had left for a buisness trip last week, and said they'd be gone for another. Meanwhile, Victorias aunt was supposed to watch her 17 year old niece while her sister went on vacation in Jamaica with her rich husband.
Victoria sighed when she didnt see her Aunt Maddie, but her best and rich friend; Amelia. She was already dressed in white capris that stopped at her ankles, wearing strappy sandals on her feet and a nice dark blue top with a white tanktop underneath. She wore jewelry that always made her stand out. That only increased Victorias feeling if inadequacy around her. She never felt decent standing next to her gorgeous and fashionably blonde friend.
Money, and looks. Everything all guys wanted right?
A small image fuzzed inside Victorias mind, she wanted to classify it as Luke, but she wasnt really sure. It all seemed like a dream to her for some reason. It was the very first time Amelia decided to bring her along to a club and blow her money. It all flashed in her mind for a moment. The lights, the bass, his touch.
She shivered, snapping herself out of it.
Amelia glanced past her shoulder to see Victoria standing there, looking to be in a trance. "Morning sleepyhead...Jesus Vicky it's noon for God sakes..." Victoria made a "blah blah" gesture when her friends back was turned, but she was caught in the act. They both laughed. "Oh shut up, I dropped you off here, threw you in bed and drove back to my place and slept fine! I woke up at 9.." She said, turning back around to grab the Tupperware bowl she was reaching for.
Victoria yawned as she grabbed the refrigerator handle. "I was tired..."
Amelia scoffed. "Yeah, tired from dry humping that tattooed punk I dragged you away from?"
Victoria rolled her eyes to the sky. "Since when are you my mother?" She sent her a playful glare with a hint of a smirk.
Amelia didn't take it as a joke. "I'm being serious Vicky. I love you, and I don't want that rough looking dick hurting you."
Victoria couldn't help but giggle as she grabbed the orange juice from the too shelf of the fridge. "But he wasnt hurting me!"
"Yet darling, yet!" Her best friend replied in all seriousness. Victoria rolled her eyes again. She got on her tiptoes to grab a glass from the cabinet and Amelia smacked her bum playfully, making her gasp and glare at her. She just laughed it off and shrugged. "You didn't give him your number did you?"
Victoria poured the orange juice into her glass and mumbled. "No.." She lied.
There was silence, and by that silence, she knew Amelia didn't believe her. "You're lying Vicky..." Victoria couldn't help but laugh, bringing the glass up to her lips. Her brown eyes met the sparkling blue eyes of her best friends, her arms crossed. Victoria just shrugged as she drank the juice slowly, licking her lips when you were finished.
"I swear Vicky...Don't text him or answer him in anyway..." She sighed and walked to the other side of the kitchen, sitting at the bar that connected the whole kitchen counters together. Victoria rolled her eyes again, letting it to in one ear and out the other. The thought of Luke made her smile. He was really cute, and really sweet. The image of his dimples when he grinned was imprinted in her mind, and she didn't want to forget it.
"Babe you have ballet in 2 hours! Chip chop and eat your brunch or ill eat it for you!"
"You made me brunch?" Victoria raised an eyebrow, looking at her friend in surprise.
Amelia looked at her like it was a normal thing. Which it wasnt. At all. Amelia almost never did anything that nice for her. They both shared a chuckle. "I can be nice sometimes Vicky...now come on! Ill grab you some clothes that don't make you look like you slept in until noon..." Victoria smiled at her friend and made sure she saw when she rolled her eyes. She giggled and headed upstairs.
Victoria sighed, looking at the plate full of fresh waffles with syrup already drizzled ontop of it. She licked her lips and her stomach called out to her. "Ok, ok, calm down..." She giggled and walked over to the table, sitting down and staring at the delicious looking plate. She dug in and took a bite, feeling the cold syrup mix with the warmth of the waffle.
The table slightly vibrated, making Victoria freeze. Then her eyes caught her phone in the middle of the table where she left it last night. She quickly glanced at the stairs before snatching it on the spot, turning it on and seeing the time, the battery level, which was 34%. And then she saw a message from an unknown number. But she knew instantly who it was.
"Hey baby doll :)"
She couldn't stop grinning.
