Chapter 15
The pair decided to part and later meet up at the hotel where Luke and the boys were booked in. Their management paid for Victoria and Amy's room, and sent them out in a limo. Their old luggage at their previous hotel was brought with them.
As Victoria, Amy and Max sat in the luxurious black car, Victoria started to chew on her lip whilst her mind began to race. She sat in the seat closest to the window, and as they neared the hotel, she started seeing lines upon lines upon lines of fans in large enough groups to fill up football stadiums. They were screaming and yelling at the passing limos, mostly towards the limo in front of them, where the boys sat in.
Before the noise and clatter got too loud, Amy was smiling at how excited Max was, he was bouncing on the expensive leather seats that were surprisingly really flexible, and giggling about how he felt famous.
Famous.
Victoria didn't want this life for Max. Not at this age. This brought up another thought in her mind. What if Luke wanted more custody? She'd be perfectly fine with that, if Luke wasn't going on tour and partying most of his life. It would have to wait until her and Luke talked about it.
She watched on as he plopped down on his butt and bounced on his seat for the final time. That was when his young eyes laid on the tinted window, where many strangers, loud strangers at that, shouted and screamed bloody murder. It broke Victoria's heart to see the drastic change in personality in Max when he frowned and scooted back to the other side of the car. A small gasp left his mouth when he was left only to find there was just as many screaming fans on the other side.
"M..Mama.." He jumped off the seat and ran across the car to jump into Victoria's lap and hug her tight.
"We're almost there sweetie.." She soothed her son the best she could by petting his head and solemnly watching the endless crowd of people pass by quicker than a blink.
Needless to say, Victoria acquired some scratches and red marks on her from Max at how tightly he held her when they ran past the fans and into the hotel.
"Holy fuck.." Amy cursed with ragged breath after joining Victoria and the bodyguards that hurried them to the elevator. "They go through this every day?"
"Mostly," grunted a guard to Amy's left.
"Shit.." Victoria held her little boy close in her arms that had his eyes screwed shut and was shaking as if he was having a nightmare.
Max took a nap as soon as he was put to bed by Amy. Victoria kissed both of their cheeks before leaving them alone together. She hadn't changed her clothes, but she put up her ginger hair in a ponytail to hide the fact that it was a bit wind blown.
She made her way down the hall to one of the rooms that the boys shared, room 245. By the sound of laughter and chatter, she figured it was Calum and Luke inside this one. She proceeded to knock and patiently wait.
Calum replied from behind the door in a high pitched voice,"Housekeeping?"
"Cal, shut it!" Luke's voice started out muffled but then became clear after the door opened. He blinked his eyes as if he was trying to climb out of a dream. Tori was standing here. In front of him, staring at him with those angel like orbs of hers. He was honestly still a little bit in shock he was back in his life. For how long, he didn't know.
"Tori.." He affectionately greeted her, one hand still clutched onto the door knob.
She gave him a wry smile,"Hey. Where do you want to talk?" She said bluntly.
The sudden statement made Luke blink again. He couldn't quite grasp what the feeling he was experiencing was. Was it his feelings for her coming back to haunt him? No..it couldn't be. He was with Fionna.
But the sight of the girl he was head over heel for 5 years ago with a son that he was positive was of his own blood made his heart swell.
"Uh..I can kick Calum out. He needs to get rid of some built up energy anyway."
With that and a nod of Victoria's pretty little head, Luke turned around, said a few things, and the next thing they knew, Calum was walking out with a silly grin on his face.
"See ya Tori, don't beat Hemmings up too much yeah?"
Victoria mirrored his smile and watched him leave then enter a new room where Michael's tattooed arm poked out then yanked Calum in after he knocked.
"Come on in.." Luke diverted her attention by stepping back and allowing the door to open fully for her to step inside.
She gladly entered, and waited to turn when she heard the door shut. In front of her sat a long couch, a very nice long couch, and a glass coffee table standing short in comparison in front of it. Already on its surface was a few cans of soda left open, a plate of half eaten pizza slices and a belt for some reason.
After Luke returned to her side and observed the mess before him as well, Victoria glanced at him questioningly.
The young man only shrugged with an innocent boyish look that contrasted greatly with his age. "Me and Cal were just messin.." Was his excuse.
Victoria rolled her eyes and faintly shook her head before taking the few steps it took to sit down on the sofa.
Luke decided to stay standing, although something told him that he might need to sit down sooner or later.
"Little guy's not coming?"
That was it. That was the question. Funny he would ask such a thing.
Victoria bit back her bitter response she had come up with in her head and shook her head again while giving Luke the eye, maybe he'd get the point.
"He's sleeping because all those crazy people out there scared him half to death."
Luke blinked, then changed his face to an annoyed one,"They aren't crazy, they're our fans..our friends."
"Friends? I didn't know your friends throw bras at your limos and practically climb over each other just to touch you."
Luke growled a low groan and ruggedly grabbed at his hair, making it stick up after he let go,"I don't want to have this conversation with you, Tori."
"It's about your son, Luke. We should be having this conversation!" Victoria sat up, leaning forward the more frustrated she got. She didn't stand up yet, because he had continued to call her Tori.
"Oh?" Luke smiled bitterly now, holding his arms out wide like someones was going to hug him. He stared incredulously at Victoria,"Then how about we have the conversation where you never told me I even had a son!"
Now Victoria was standing up, fuming at this point. "And how did you expect me to even talk to you when you left?"
"I left?" Luke looked almost like a hysterical crazy man, smiling like he was. At her reply though, he frowned and furrowed his brow into an angry one,"If I recall, you were the one who left!"
"Luke, you know I couldn't run away with you!" The two's voices now rose to soft shouting.
"Yeah, because your snobby ass friends told you not to!"
Victoria leaned forward on the balls of her feet to get closer to Luke. Only the shiny, glass coffee table stood in their way.
"No! It was because I didn't want to!"
Everything in Luke shattered, you could even see it in the way his face sank. He was no longer angry, he was broken.
A moment of silence passed before Luke firmed up and spoke,"You..You didn't want to run away with me? But you said--"
Victoria cut in, now looking down,"I-I know what I said."
"You lied to me?" Luke whispered in a tired, raspy voice.
"We're not talking about the past. We're talking about Max, Luke. We're talking about now."
"Why can't we?" Luke bit back tears and you could also tell by how hard he bit his lip after asking. he was afraid he'd chew off his metal lip ring. His voice was now wavering and that broke Victoria's heart to hear. But if they continued this conversation, then she'd break down as well. These were old wounds that never fully healed, were never talked about or seen from. Now they were fresh.
Luke continued, swallowing down his saliva as if there was a weight in his throat keeping it up. "Why can't we talk about how you lied to me, how you loved me and left me like that?"
She hated seeing Luke this way, she'd only seen him upset once, after a small fight they had over the rumors of him cheating. He hadn't but he was still hurt over everything.
"I did love you." She said, frowning because she wanted to get closer, she wanted to touch him and comfort him. "I..still do." she admitted. "I lied because I knew it would hurt you if I said I didn't want to go. My life was there Luke. I couldn't just leave with you to travel God knows where.." She sniffled as she gestured to the window, the outside. The world.
Luke furiously but softly rubbed at his eyes to rid them of tears,"I'm more hurt now then I was back then.."
Victoria shook her head, now also on the verge of crying,"You aren't yelling..we aren't outside my parent's house..and we didn't just had sex." Referencing 5 years prior pulled smiles on both of their lips.
Not to mention when Victoria said that she still loved him, his tears stopped and his chest ached.Over the years, he may have left her with a fight, but he didn't leave his feelings behind. They had stayed, even with Fionna. Of course he liked her, but she was no Victoria. It was safe to say that--
"I never got over you."
Victoria watched the words leave his lips, as if she didn't believe them.
"When you left I..I felt like I couldn't go on. But I had to. I couldn't let a woman like you bring me down. After a while the pain subsided and it hid itself away.." Luke looked down at the ground before glancing back up at her,"Now that you're back..now that you and Max.."
"Luke.."
"Tori, despite everything I say..everything do.." He swallowed, not allowing anything or anyone getin his way of pouring out his feelings. He needed to do this. He'd had all of these feelings pent up inside his head for so long, and so far it felt so much better venting it all out. "I love you, and I still care for you."
After a moment of silence and gazing into each other's eyes, Victoria said,"You're not just saying that because of Max?" She nervously wringed her hands as a sudden urge overcame her.
Luke shook his head,"No."
"Well, you seem to be doing fine with Princess out there." Victoria gestured towards the door behind Luke, a somewhat scornful look on her face that soon faded when Luke started grinning.
"You didn't seem to mind me calling you that, baby doll.." He purred.
Hearing his voice lower upon calling her that nickname stirred something in Victoria. Something nostalgic that she didn't know she suddenly craved,"Luke!"
"Yeah princess?" He asked as if it was completely normal.
Victoria furrowed her brow downwards and narrowed her eyes into slits,"Stop that.."
This made Luke only happier and his smirk grow twice fold. "Princess."
"Lucas Hemmings!" She stomped her foot at how childish he was acting, but she saw the look in his eyes, and she couldn't help but smile at it. For a moment, it felt like they were young teenagers again, years ago. She would regret it deeply later, but Victoria went along with it.
The two smiled as Luke bent his knees into a position where his body was lowered and it looked like he was about to pounce. The feelings these two shared for each other must've so strong they left all of their problems and personal lives aside for a moment to mess around and just be together. They both even knew what they were about to do was crazy, but they didn't care right then. Neither may not have wanted to admit it, but they had missed each other so very very dearly.
Luke started to go to his left and appeared to prowl towards Victoria with a cheeky smirk.
"Luke, I mean it, stop.." Victoria lowered her voice to see if it would hide an airy giggle.
"Make me! Now come here!"
She squealed when he started to actually pounce in her direction so she sprinted the opposite way around the glass coffee table. The pair roared in laughter like children chasing each other around the playground. And after a few rounds on the 4th or 5th rotation aound the table, Luke lost his balance on the carpet and skidded, getting his leg caught around the leg of the coffee table.
Unaware, Victoria assumed she was still being chased and it was too late to see Luke now sprawled on the ground on his back.
She tripped over his body and lay across his chest, earning a surprised grunt from them both.
She was a little scared to even look up, but she did almost simulataneoulsy with Luke. They shared vision patterns and gazed at the other. Holy shit, was Luke's eyes as bright and beautiful as ever.
Now was when Victoria started regretting things, and it would only get worse from here. She pulled her arm out from under her ontop of Luke's chest to cup the side of his face that was now glazed with blonde stubble. She didn't know she would ever like facial hair this much, especially on Luke of all people. Her thumb rested on the tip of his cheek bone and her other fingers scratched at his sideburns and the hair on the side of his head. While Victoria thought about the other times they had just stared at each other, Luke seemed to be thinking of the same thing, the past, and raised his arm too. It was a gingerly and hesitant moment, but the decision in his head was quickly made.
With Victoria's hand cupping Luke's cheek, Luke went ahead and pressed his hand behind Victoria's head, fingers adjusting to her ponytail, and pushed her head forward until soft, velvety lips met chapped, desirable and rough lips.
And God did Luke think it was wonderful to feel her kiss again. To feel her again.
None of them even pulled away. Victoria froze like she didn't know what was happening, but after a few seconds her mind registered the sensation and she actually kissed back.
"Mmmm.." Luke was the first to produce noise after she made the decision to kiss back. The muffled air noise brushed against Victoria's lips and made her skin tingle everywhere it could. It urged her for more, so she was the first to try and shyly poke her tongue through to Luke's mouth.
Of course, delving deep into his euphoria and emotions, he allowed it and even joined her with his tongue. At the touch of each other's muscle in their mouths, they both moaned and softly exhaled and inhaled. Luke decided to move his other hand to Victoria's back only to find part of it was lifted up and her bare skin on her back showed. When his fingers grazed her almost porcelain and speckled skin, she gasped and pulled away for the first time in what seemed like an eternity of kissing.
She was sitting up now, both hands planted firmly against Luke's chest. He studied her eyes, and she studied his, trying to figure out what the other wanted now.
It wasn't really that hard to figure out.
Without hesitation this time, Luke took initiative and used his ab muscles to pull himself up off the ground so he was sitting up at Victoria's level, only to push her down on her back, pulling his legs out of the way.
He pinned her down with a firm and rough kiss, as well as a bicep standing just beside her face. She welcomed him with a hand weaving its way through his rough and fluffed up blonde hair.
Just like she remembered, just a slight tug of his follicles and a tug of his lip ring drove Luke crazy. As a bigger man than Victoria was a small woman, his muscular and tense body almost covered her tiny ballerina body. Looking at the engaged couple you could only see Luke's mass of body and Victoria's hands, face and legs.
"Baby.." Luke uttered onto Victoria's lush and slowly turning red lips. His breath was deliciously wavering and heavy.
They continued to kiss while Victoria kept what he had just said in mind. Where was this going to go? She wondered. Would he tell that Fionna chick?
The questions were pushed away when Luke inhaled deeply and jerked his head and lips away from Victoria's mouth and found their next place on her neck.
A soft moan left her lips as she grabbed a handful of his hair, stared dizzily at the ceiling and completely let her mind go numb when Luke's teeth, mouth and tongue found the sweet spot located near her ear.
"Luke.." She whimpered scandalously.
The heavily hot and bothered couple were far too busy with each other's body and lust to even hear the oncoming footsteps in the hall behind the door and the knock that soon followed after.
A/N: oh my god kill me
