It's been a few months since I've logged in here.  How are you all doing?  I hope you've been well.  As for me, I worked my butt off in uni and have a GPA of almost 4.0 (which I'm quite proud of considering my program lol), and right now I'm taking summer school courses and have finally found my first job.  So life's been busy but it's been mostly good.  

I randomly remembered that I finished The Fairy's Poison around this time last year.  I checked the end date and... yeah.  June 27th.  So in 9 days, it'll be the one-year anniversary of The Fairy's Poison's completion.  That'll also mark (basically) one year since I've started work on The Fae Prophecy.  Man how time flies. 

The Fairy's Poison still means so much to me.  Those 10 months with you guys, the wild ride that was each chapter, the comments oh lord, being on that journey with you all was honestly one of the best times in my life.  And rereading some of those conversations, it reminded me what it was like to be actively writing a book.  Not just planning.  Writing.  

And I miss it ;w; before I'd be writing 5000~ words a week and sometimes now I don't even write at all in a week.  There are some things to be blamed for that though... I've taken a lesson from both books in The Fairy Duology and am trying to be VERY meticulous when world-building and plot-planning for The Fae Prophecy to ENSURE that there's no plot holes, things make sense (trying to make it so most situations can't be explained away with "hehehe that's just magic"), and just to make it an enjoyable read.  And tbh this process has drained me out a lot to the point where I'm having goddamn writer's block.  We love to see it.  But I can safely say that when the planning is done, and I have a general chapter outline to work with, I will get back into writing- but writing well, with quality- which I'm definitely out of practice in so I have been writing a few short sequences in the mean time, some of which I'm going to post on Tumblr.

Speaking of that- so over there I'm currently in the process of introducing characters, this is basically a "character profile" (photo, basic info) and a short story based around that character to give people some aspects of their personality.  It's been super slow recently because there are three parts: the drawing of them, the creation of the profile, and trying to find a good story (and writing it) to represent them.  The last part has been the most troubling part (see bolded text in above paragraph lol), but I've been trying my best!

So back to The Fae Prophecy itself.  Like I said it's been about a year since I've started development on this book.  And I can safely say I've come a lot farther since my last update here, and just far with development in general since I started.  I have ideas for most plot points in my mind, I just need to connect them together (easier said than done).  But character personalities, backstories..... all of this has been completed.  

Which is why I'd like to tell you guys about stuff relating to the book- the characters, the general synopsis, the world, as much as I can without spoiling anything important.  You guys are part of the reason I started developing The Fae Prophecy in the first place and I want you to be a part of it!!  

I'll provide a bit of info below.

Are Heliux, Layra, and Valerie still appearing in The Fae Prophecy?

Yep!  They'll all still be there.  Though you'll find that they look a LOT different than when you last saw them.

What about August and Verity?

Unfortunately, they won't be returning in the new book :(.  There is a reason for this though (as much as I love them both), it's because Ash and Serena are their parents.  Now obviously those two are NOT my original characters, and as much as I would like to just plop them into the world and say "their parents disappeared", their parents will always be Ash and Serena and it just wouldn't sit right with me.

Will there be romance?

Oh boy yes.  Before I answer the inevitable question of "What will happen to Aulerie??", I will say there will be romance in The Fae Prophecy (even though obviously the main plot is not romance lol).  There will be a ship with the main character, Sorrel, obviously, and of course we have Heliux and Layra.  Other ships will be there as well... including one with Valerie and someone who is, yes, not August.  And no the new guy is not August's "replacement"- the story between those two will be very different to the story between August and Val.

Anything else I can share?

There is lots.  One of the things I'll say is that faerie magic works a LOT differently than it does in The Fairy Duology.  Another is that there is not just one Colony anymore, there are TWELVE.  Something else is that Heliux and Layra aren't the only Minesti anymore ;)..... and as you just read, there are new title names (and roles) within each Colony.  There's also much, much more (including character name-drops!  And lore.  So much lore.  But that I can't always reveal for obvious reasons).
