corner sun
At five, anything seemed possible, and mum said I was an artist.
I remember self portraits and three colored markers, round eyes and lashes that I can count. My body was a triangle with a bunch of lines for legs, while the hands were circles with what looked like claws at the ends.
The background was a garden, like it'd always been. The grass was always this zigzag underneath that went from each end. And usually, I placed a few flowers beside me and a couple of clouds in the sky.
As for the sun, I drew the sun with a crown of rays in the corner of the paper, and up to this day I still see her smiling.
