chia was having a fine sunday morning. she made nutella sandwiches and wore a maroon cardigan like a middle-aged mom during beach gatherings while she played random dvd on her TV just to avoid white silence.

she leaned on the kitchen top after gobbling down perhaps four of those sandwiches (she lost count), phone in hand as she tried to read six of her unread messages (four of which were just automated advertisement texts).

realizing he could knock any minute, she sprayed a generous amount of febreze around her unit to assure any unpleasant smell to stop. she also lowered the TV's volume, 

it kept her thinking though: why would youngho be chased? was he a criminal? was he planning to involve her in some illegal stuff? everything seemed suspicious. nevertheless, she already readily stood near the door, curious of whatever his reason would be.

three knocks was all it took for her to open the door. obvious signs of him running were seen, some being his disheveled hair and his hands that gripped his knees.

in between pants, he shot her a half-smile. "hey."

"why do you need help at—"

"hide me. just this once. please?"

"hide you?!"
