Chapter 4: The Eleven Share Kid Cabins

A/N I seriously hate doing this, since it’s the second time I’ve done this, but Elliot has been changed to Kyle. You see, the girl who Courtney is modeled after, she didn’t like the name for her real-life brother. So, she gave me a different name, and since he is more of a minor character, and it’s still kind of early, plus I don’t want to make her too angry, I changed it. I am truly sorry to do this to you, again, but I didn’t want to make this too bad between myself and the real Courtney.

Again, I’m really sorry for doing this a second time, but it’s for a friend, so, you get what I mean.

Also, I thought I should mention this: Eleanor, Perrie, Danielle, and Taylor are not dating any of the 1D boys in the story for two reasons: One is that it’s easier to write when you don’t have to bring in the things you don’t know as well, and two is that I don’t exactly want to write about Haylor…obviously I’m not the biggest fan of that, so you get my point.

Here’s Chapter 4, also known as the longest chapter I've ever written. Hope you all like it!

--------------------

Kelly’s POV

I think that was probably the funniest thing I have ever done in my entire life. Zayn looked so confused by it, and so did Harry! That’s what made it so funny!

But, now it was time to take a break. The eleven of us sat on the couch and other chairs. Mrs. Nelson, Lizzie’s mom, had brought down some cookies for us to eat and glasses of water. Of course, Niall had more than just one cookie…

As I munched on my chocolate chip cookie, I asked, “So, what should we do now?”

“We could go to the Mall of America, or the Water Park of America, or drive down to the Wisconsin Dells,” Lizzie suggested. “I don’t think it’s not that long a drive from St. Paul.”

“That sounds like it could be fun,” Liam observed.

“Then let’s go!” Simone exclaimed, jumping off the couch. She almost knocked into Ana and made her spill her water.

Ana’s eyes widened at what may have happened, and she said, “Okay, I’m definitely moving this water away from you…” She took the glass of water and put it down on a table next to me.

“Sorry, Ana,” Simone said quietly.

“Don’t sweat it,” Ana smiled at her.

Then Zayn spoke up. “But, don’t you think we should tell your parents?”

“Oh, right. Plus, we would need to pack up a few things,” Courtney observed. “How about we all meet back here in twenty minutes?”

“How about instead of twenty, we meet up in thirty, just to be safe?” Harry suggested.

“That’s fine by me. See you then,” Lucy said with a grin. She stood up, finished her water and cookie quietly, and waved goodbye before walking up the carpeted stairs.

The rest of us followed suit soon afterwards, and we all exited Lizzie’s house, except for Lizzie of course. The girls all walked to their houses and entered.

I noticed that instead of going down to the street, the five boys paused in the center of Lizzie’s driveway. Louis pulled out a phone and called someone, while the other four boys stood around him, listening.

Not wanting to disturb them, I strolled over to my door and slipped inside. Before going up to my room, I heard someone call my name. “Kelly?” the person called. It was my Dad.

“Yeah, Dad, what is it?” I responded, changing my direction and going into the home office.

Dad was working at his desk, calmly typing up something for his job. My dad was a worker for a department in the government. At the moment, I couldn’t remember the name of the department. Dad’s dark eyes were trained on the screen until he heard me enter. “What’s going on? Did you get in a fight with the girls again?” He inquired with an expression of slight nervousness.

I could understand why that had made him so nervous. Our parents had all hated how we had been fighting, so they had been thankful to hear that was over. “No. Of course we didn’t, Dad. We don’t fight anymore, remember? That’s why One Direction actually showed up last night. The letter we wrote, remember…”

Dad laughed. “Oh, right!” He smiled at me. “Carry on, then.”

I turned to leave, but then remembered that I needed to ask about the Dells. I turned around again, and asked, “Dad? Can I go to the Dells? All eleven of us are planning on going together. We’re going to spend a night for sure, I think, maybe two. We’ll be back for sure in two days. Can I please go?”

I knew that some of those details weren’t really official or anything, but I knew for sure that I would be back in two days…

Dad didn’t seem fazed. “Okay then. That seems fine. But, who’s going to be driving?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know. It won’t be Simone, though. She’s too young. But someone will.” Although Simone had a learner’s permit, since she was fifteen, and all the lads were old enough to be the adult in the car, we weren’t going to let her drive, that was for sure.

He smiled again. “That’s good. Go on ahead. Pack for two nights, just in case!”

“I was planning on doing that,” I laughed before heading back towards the stairs. “Thanks!” I called to my dad before climbing the stairs and entering my room.

My room was painted a light violet and lined with posters, paintings, photos, and a few random papers. I cautiously stepped over a paper I had left on the ground and walked to the closet. I opened up the closet doors and pulled out a pale violet suitcase.

I carried the suitcase over to my bed and dropped the suitcase on top of it. Then, I got to work on packing.

-------------------

Thirty minutes later, all six of us girls were waiting on Lizzie’s front porch with our suitcases. The six of us had changed out of our 1D shirts and were now just wearing a different t-shirt from the same color scheme. For example, I now had on a light violet t-shirt with a star over my heart.

I had packed everything I thought I would need for the trip, and so had the other girls. Our suitcases were lined up next to the door on top of the porch, while the rest of us were spread out around the area.

Courtney was practicing a dance on the grass, her ear buds plugged into her iPod. Lizzie was listening to her own iPod, except she was sitting under the tree, leaning against the trunk. Lucy and Ana were both writing in notebooks, probably writing out new stories. Simone was tapping against her leg, bored and waiting. I, on the other hand was sketching out a new picture for my wall.

“Where are they?” Simone asked me, leaning over and looking curious.

I shrugged. “I don’t know. But don’t worry, Si. They’ll come.” I smiled at her, and continued working on the picture.

After a few minutes, a black van pulled up to the front of the house. The horn honked, knocking Courtney out of her dance routine.

The window rolled down, and Louis’s head popped out the window. “Are you ready to go?” He asked us, hopping out of the car with a grin.

“Yeah, we’re ready,” Lizzie responded, pulling her ear buds out of her ears and turning her iPod off. She walked over to the six suitcases lined up and pulled hers out of the line. Hers was a nice yellow, not too hurtful to the eyes. She wheeled it over to the van, and Louis picked it up. He opened up the back of the van and placed it in the back.

The five of us followed suit, grabbing our own suitcases and rolling them down to the van. After Louis got them into the back of the vehicle, with some help from Niall, we all piled into the back.

Each of us took a seat in the rows of the van. Louis was driving, so Lizzie sat with Simone in the back row. Ana was with Harry in front of them, and I sat next to Zayn in the next row ahead. Niall took the seat by Lucy in the second row, and Courtney and Liam took the final two spots in the front.

“Okay, let’s go!” Simone exclaimed excitedly, almost bouncing out of the seat. Sometimes she’s a slightly overprotective younger sister to Lucy, other times she acts like she’s nine years old.

“Okay, okay, we’re going,” Niall responded with a laugh, turning his baby blue eyes so they faced her.

Louis smiled, and started the van and we all drove off towards the Dells.

--------------------

Later on in the van, we were all sitting around, talking and doing our own things. Nothing really had happened, but I couldn’t help but think about the fans. Nobody had seen us with One Direction yet, but we had been on private property.

Now we were going to go out in public. What was going to happen?

Lizzie snapped me out of my thought pattern by saying something to Ana. She tapped Ana on the shoulder, and said, “Hey, Ana?”

Ana turned around and faced her. “What is it?” She asked.

Lizzie’s lips curved into a smile. “Guess what I saw?” Before she had a chance to answer, she continued. “I got a score.”

“Shoot!” Ana sighed, looking down. “Are you serious?”

We all started to laugh as Lizzie said, “Yeah, I’m serious. And by the way, Score!” She grinned even wider.

“She shoots, she scores!” Courtney laughed louder, smiling.

“Whatever,” Ana rolled her eyes with a small smile as she looked out the window. Her smile grew as she saw something outside. “I just saw a slug bug blue!” She leaned forward and lightly punched Lucy.

Lucy looked up from her book and laughed. “Wow…” she said. “You’re going to bring me into this?” She looked over at Niall, and then explained, “They’re playing the car games we always played.”

“Because they’re bored,” I finally added with a grin. “And they want the Jolly Rancher the winner gets.”

“No, I’m just trying to prove something to her,” Ana pouted.

“Yeah, Ana’s right. We’re just having fun,” Lizzie laughed.

There was a small pause for a minute, and then Liam spoke up. “Hey, why don’t we turn on the radio?” He suggested.

Louis smiled at all of us through the mirror, and did so. Courtney grinned as she heard the song that was playing. It was Grenade by Bruno Mars. “Yes!” She cheered, and we all laughed again.

The five boys began singing along to the song, sounding a bit like the cover they did. They sang through the first verse alone until they reached the chorus.

When they reached that point, the six of us girls joined in quietly, doing a bit of background singing for it. We all smiled as we continued into the song. We were having so much fun right then!

Finally, the song ended and we continued smiling at each other.

“You girls sing really well,” Harry observed with a grin.

“Thanks”, Ana said with a slightly wider smile, obviously pleased with the compliment. There was a slight awkward silence that came over the van, except for the radio announcer, who was talking about celebrity news.

Finally Lucy spoke up. “Hey, we should probably call so we can get some rooms at the Dells, don’t you think?”

Niall nodded with a smile. “Okay, that seems like a good plan.”

“Get Great Wolf Lodge!” Simone exclaimed, grinning.

“I think we should listen to the fifteen-year old,” Louis smiled as he continued to drive, laughing just a bit.

“See? Louis agrees with me!” Simone laughed as Lucy rolled her eyes and dialed the hotel number. The rest of us laughed as Lucy was put through to the front desk.

When Lucy hung up, Zayn inquired, “Did you get any rooms?”

Lucy nodded. “Yup, I got two Kid Cabin suites. They sleep six, with three single person beds, a queen, and a fold out couch. I got one for the girls and I to share, and one for you guys.” She pointed at the boys.

“Sounds good,” Harry observed with a smile.

“Where are the rooms, in relation to restaurants?”

Liam laughed. “Of course you want to know that!”

“What? I’m hungry…” Niall complained.

Louis said, “Can you wait until it reaches lunchtime?” not even looking back towards us.

Niall pouted. “Fine,” he said, leaning back in his seat. That got us all to laugh again.

--------------------

At about noon, we pulled over at McDonald’s to save some time. He pulled into the drive through window and got to where we could order. We all ordered our meals quickly, although that didn’t go as quick since there were eleven of us. I had a Mighty Kids cheeseburger, since I wasn’t all that hungry.

Then Louis drove up to the window to pay and get our meals. The girls and I all pulled out our wallets to pay our share, but the boys stopped us.

“You don’t have to pay. It’s our treat,” Zayn told us kindly.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“Positive,” he said, smiling as he pulled out some money to pay for our meals. He passed it to Louis, who passed it to the girl in the window.

“Here you go, love,” Louis said with a smile to the McDonald’s worker.

The girl’s eyes bulged as she recognized him. “Oh gosh, you’re Louis Tomlinson!” She exclaimed, obviously stunned by who was there. She craned her neck and noticed the rest of us in the back seat. “One Direction is here?”

Louis nodded. “That’s us. And, of course, the six ladies riding with us,” he smiled at all of us, and we smiled wider.

“There’s no way this is real!” The girl freaked out a bit as she gave Louis the bags with our food inside.

“Thanks, love,” he said to her. “Goodbye!” He started up the car and drove out of the drive through line. When we were in the parking lot, he completely parked the van and turned to us. Louis passed out all of our meals and started the car up again, driving away from the McDonald’s.

“Thanks, Lou,” Harry said as he passed Niall an extra French fry from the bottom of the bag. I saw Lucy look up, a bit confused. That was probably because Lou was her nickname, except it was spelled Lu.

Louis gave a small nod as we drove on, all munching on our meals. He even ate a bit when we were stopped in traffic.

After we all finished our meals, we continued to ride along as the day continued on.

-----------------------

Somehow, I must have fallen asleep, but it really didn’t matter. We had arrived at Great Wolf, but it was dark, so there was nothing we really could do tonight but sleep. I still was tired, though, so I kept closing my eyes and opening them, resting my eyes a bit.

The five boys slipped on some shades, which would have to do for disguises for now. Plus, it was dark anyway, so nobody would notice. At least, I hoped nobody would notice…

Anyway, they all helped us out of the car and got all the suitcases out of the back. Each of us took our own suitcase and wheeled it into the huge lobby.

There was still one person at the front desk, and we all noticed he seemed to be a bit tired. I felt bad for him, having to do this and take him out of his rest.

“Let’s keep this as short as possible, so he can rest,” Liam suggested. We all nodded, and made our way over to the front desk and the man.

“Hi, sorry about the time, but we’d like to check in,” Ana apologized to the man, whose name tag read JAMES.

“Oh, don’t worry about it,” he smiled at us, and continued,” I’m guessing you’re the two rooms for six?”

“That’s us,” Harry said.

James nodded, and we continued through the check in process.

I was still kind of tired, so my eyelids began to flutter closed again.

Zayn noticed this, and he asked quietly, “Are you tired, Kelly?” I nodded drowsily, not saying a word. He gently wrapped an arm around my shoulders. Since I was so tired, I gently rested against him. I was so tired that I almost didn’t notice that Zayn was holding me.

The most important word in that sentence was almost.

Just as I was about to drift off a bit, the check in process must have finished.

“Kelly?” Simone snapped her fingers under my chin to wake me up. “We’re checked in now. We can go to our rooms now!”

Drowsily, I nodded and slipped out of Zayn’s arms. Harry handed me a room key before all eleven of us walked to the elevator.

After a quick elevator ride, the boys walked us to our room. “Our room is right next door, so if you need anything, just call us,” Liam offered.

“Thanks Liam. Goodnight, you guys,” Courtney whispered sleepily.

“Goodnight,” all five said in unison.

Ana opened the door and we all stepped inside. All of us waved goodbye as the door slid shut.

When the door closed, I wheeled my suitcase into the wooden cabin section and hopped onto the bottom bunk. I was so tired that I didn’t care I was still wearing my clothes. I slipped underneath the blankets and fell asleep.

--------------------

The next day, I woke up naturally and normally. I sat up in the bed and stretched out. Looking over at the time on the clock between the bunk bed and the single bed in the cabin, I read it off in my head: 8:30 AM.

I slipped out of the bed and walked over to my suitcase. Then, I turned and looked at my friends’ sleeping forms. Should I wake them up? I wondered as the rest of them slept on.

I filled a small glass of water and took a sip before realizing I was still in my clothes from yesterday. Whoops, I thought, maybe I should change clothes. I put the cup down on the counter and did so. I put on a light purple tankini so I could go swimming. I slipped on a plain white t-shirt and jean shorts on top of the tankini before strolling over to my friends.

I gently shook Lucy awake. “Lucy, are you awake? Wake up Lu,” I whispered as her eyes fluttered open.

“What time is it?” She inquired as she rubbed her eyes.

“It’s eight-thirty. I’m planning on going to get some breakfast before I go to the waterpark. Want to come?” I asked her.

Lucy shrugged. “Sure, I guess. How about I wake up the girls and you go get the guys, if they want to join us? I‘ll meet you in the lobby in a few minutes.”

“That’s fine by me. See you then,” I smiled before grabbing a tote bag out of my suitcase. I slipped some sunglasses, goggles (if necessary), a magazine, some money, and my room key into the plain canvas bag before strolling out the door.

I knocked lightly on the boys’ door and waited there for them quietly. I didn’t expect any of them to answer so soon, but I was wrong.

A few seconds after I knocked, Liam opened the door, seemingly wide awake. He smiled at me, and said, “Good morning, Kelly.”

“Morning, Liam. You’re awake this early?” I asked curiously.

“It’s eight thirty. It’s not that early,” he laughed quietly. “What time did you get up for school?”

“I usually got up at seven or so,” I shrugged, knowing he had won. “I’m guessing you had an alarm to wake you up, though, right?”

He held up his phone, which was open to an alarm app. “Yeah,” he answered me.

“Ah,” I nodded. “Anyway, I came over to see if you and the rest of the boys were up and ready for breakfast.”

Liam smiled. “I would be, but the rest of them are asleep,” he laughed again, motioning to the sleeping boys.

“Ah,” I repeated, laughing along quietly. “We could wake them up,” I suggested once I had finished laughing.

“Sure,” Liam shrugged. Then he continued, “Would the other girls be up for it?”

“If they’re awake, I would think they’d be up for it. I left Lucy to wake them up so I could come get you guys.”

And, just like it was on cue, Courtney passed by the door. She waved at Liam through the opening. I guess Lucy had woken her up first, and she had time to change already.

“Hey Courtney,” Liam whispered, motioning her inside of the hotel room.

“Morning,” Courtney greeted us, smiling.

“Hey, want to help us wake the rest of the boys up?” I asked.

She grinned. “Sure, I’d love to,” she answered. “How are we going to do this without being disruptive to the rest of the hotel?”

“Shake them awake? That’s how I woke Lucy up,” I suggested.

“That may work although Zayn’s kind of a heavy sleeper,” Liam informed us.

“We’ll do Zayn last then,” Courtney answered. “C’mon.” She strolled over to Niall and gently shook him by the shoulders. “Niall,” she whispered as she did so. Liam and I did the same. We walked over to Louis and Harry and gently shook them awake. “Good morning,” I wished the three of them when they were awake.

“Morning,” Niall responded, sitting up. “When can we have breakfast?”

“How are you so skinny if you eat so much?” Louis wondered.

“A good metabolism is key,” I heard Courtney say. She must have learned that from Mr. Baker, the health teacher at the middle school we had attended. Then she explained why we were there. When she finished, she asked, “So, do you want to go?”

Harry shrugged, and said, “Sure.” Then he looked at Zayn’s sleeping form. “Still asleep, I see,” he thought out loud.

“Yeah, he’s what’s keeping us from going. Could you help us wake him up?” Liam asked.

“Sure, why not?” Niall asked. “Let’s do the same thing we did to him and Harry back in Cheshire!”

“What about the people downstairs?” I asked. “Wouldn’t that disturb them?”

“Oh, right. Hmm. What could we do?”

Harry began to think out loud. “Maybe we could use a fire extinguisher? No, we’d be in huge trouble for using it at a hotel. We could shake him? No, he’s too heavy a sleeper.” Then he had an idea. “I’ve got it! We’ll wake him up with water!”

“Perfect,” I said. “A cup of water will wake him up.”

Liam, who was the only guy standing, walked over to the sink and filled a small cup, He passed it to me, and I gently sprinkled some of the water on him.

When the tiny drops didn’t work, I carefully poured the water in a small stream onto his face. That woke him up. Zayn’s eyes shot wide open and he let out a small yelp. “Ah!” he exclaimed as he jumped out of bed.

Louis passed him a towel, and Zayn wiped the water off his face. “What was that for?” Zayn asked.

“Good morning to you too,” Harry smiled. “The girls are going out to get breakfast. Kelly and Courtney came to see if we wanted to come with.”

“Sure, after we get ready,” Zayn said.

“Great! Meet you down there in the lobby,” Courtney smiled, and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the hotel room, shutting the door behind us.

When we had left, Courtney pulled me to the elevator. She smiled at me as she pressed the down button and stepped inside as the doors open. “I saw you and Zayn last night,” she whispered to me as I stepped inside, her grin growing.

“What are you talking about?” I asked her, my eyes wide.

“You and Zayn were in each other’s arms last night, Kelly,” Courtney informed me.

“So?”

“You like him; he seems to like you…” Courtney smiled. “You two are cute together, anyway!”

I rolled my eyes. “Okay, to start off, of course we like each other. We’re friends. And yeah, I like him just a bit more. He’s my favorite member. You have that same feeling about Liam. But it’s not like we’re going to date or something. He’s Zayn Malik of One Direction, and I’m Kelly Gonzalez, small town girl.” The elevator doors opened and I stepped out of it. “It’s not in the cards.”

She followed me out of the elevator with a small smile and an eye roll. “Whatever, Debbie Downer, let’s go get breakfast so Nialler doesn’t get hungry.”

“C’mon then,” I smiled at her, and pulled her into the main part of the lobby. Lizzie, Lucy, Simone, and Ana were all waiting there, ready to go.

“There you guys are,” Simone said with a smile. “Are they coming down or not?”

“They’re coming. They just need to get ready,” Courtney informed them.

“Okay,” Lucy said calmly.

Then Courtney spoke up again. “Don’t you think that Kelly and Zayn would be a cute couple?” she asked.

“They sure would! You’d be great together!” Ana told me. “You two were adorable last night.”

“I was tired,” I complained. “He offered to let me rest; I took him up on it. That’s it.’”

“No! Jimmy protested!” Lizzie giggled. “You know that wasn’t the only reason. Admit it Kelly.”

“It was!” I complained again.

“Okay, okay, fine. But we’ll be talking about it later, Kelly,” Lizzie grinned.

I faked a smile as the boys stepped out of the elevator and walked over to us.

“Hey,” Ana said with a calm, sweet smile as they arrived. “Nice disguises.”

They weren’t the best disguises at all. Each of them was wearing a pair of sunglasses, and Louis was wearing a fake moustache.

“You’re kidding, right?” Simone rolled her eyes. “People will recognize you, you know that, right?”

Louis shrugged. “Maybe, I don’t know. It’s still kind of early.”

Liam looked at him. “It’s nine, Louis. It’s not that early.”

“Whatever. Let’s just hope that not many people will notice eleven people eating breakfast at a restaurant, one wearing a fake moustache,” Ana resolved.

Niall ripped off Louis’s fake moustache hard, which caused him to yelp in pain. Niall made the comment, “None of us have a moustache now!”

Louis held his lip, since it probably hurt horribly. “Ow! Oh, that hurt! This does really hurt!”

Lizzie bit her lip to keep from laughing, and so did the rest of us.

“How about we go get breakfast?” Lucy finally asked.

“Sure, let’s go,” Liam said, and he led us all out to the van.

--------------------

Breakfast was pretty uneventful, I’d say, except for the twenty girls recognizing the boys.

All eleven of us were sitting at the table getting ready to order, as well as talking.

When the waitress came to our table to take our orders, however, something happened. The girl was a Directioner. She came to the table, her eyes trained on her notepad. “Hello, I’m Sadie. I’ll be your server today. Can I start you off with something to drink?”

Lucy looked at the boys, and said, “You can order first.”

Niall shook his head. “No, you can go first,” he said with his signature smile.

“Okay,” Lucy smiled, and turned to the waitress. But we all saw Sadie with her eyes on us. Her mouth was hanging open and her eyes were wide in shock.

“You’re Niall Horan,” she said quietly, her eyes locked on Niall. Then she turned her gaze so she was looking at all of us. She pointed with her pencil at the rest of the boys, identifying them. “And you’re Zayn Malik,” she pointed to Zayn as she spoke. Then she pointed to Louis, “Louis Tomlinson,” then to Liam, “Liam Payne,” and finally to Harry, “and Harry Styles.”

Harry nodded with a smile. “Yeah, that’s us. It’s nice to meet you, Sadie.”

Sadie blushed brightly. Obviously, she was a huge fan.

Ana leaned over and jokingly whispered to Lucy, “She’s even more of a fan girl than you are!” She said it quietly so the boys wouldn’t hear.

Lucy rolled her eyes as Sadie did, in fact, fan girl.

“Can I get your autographs, please?” She inquired.

“Sure, how about after breakfast, though? I think Niall’s incredibly hungry,” Liam laughed as Niall nodded quickly.

“Of course,” Sadie grinned at us, and all eleven of us proceeded to give our orders.

After we had done so, Sadie had left for the kitchen.

At this restaurant, though, you could kind of see into the kitchen. I saw Sadie go over to a cook and point at our table. The cook looked stunned, and she told a few other people before disappearing from my view.

Then, when Sadie came out with our drinks, about twenty girls followed her over to the table. “Here are your drinks,” she said to us, passing all of our drinks out. “And here are some girls who wanted to meet you.”

The girls squealed and screamed in excitement over seeing the boys. “We love you!” One girl in pink exclaimed.

“You’re amazing!” Another, in fuchsia, added.

“Can we get your autographs” a girl who seemed to be about Simone’s age asked.

“And pictures?” her friend in white inquired of them.

Zayn took a sip of his drink, and said, “Sure,” with a small smile. “If the rest of the boys are okay with it, of course we can!”

“Fine by me,” Louis responded. He turned to Lizzie. “Do you have a Sharpie or something with you, Liz?” He used a new nickname for her!

Lizzie fumbled through her bag, searching. “Um, I have a black pen. That’s it.” She pulled it out and passed it to him. “Ana and Lu are the writers, though. They would probably be the ones to have pens.”

And, before the boys could say another word, Lucy and Ana had four pens out and in the other four guys’ reach.

As the five of them signed autographs and took pictures, the six of us sat there in an awkward silence. After all, this was what they had to deal with. We now had to do the same for the three months of summer. So be it.

But, I did notice a few of the girls looking in our direction as they waited. When one of them got to the front, they asked, “Who are those six girls?”

Zayn spoke up. “They’re some friends of ours that we’re spending the summer with.”

But, hearing him say that also meant that was the only thing that we’d ever be.

Just friends.
