Chapter Two

Song for the chapter: Robin Hood - Anson Seabra

______________

There was something wrong with the way Taehyung walked, talked, acted and just lived these days. Jimin noticed it, his parents noticed it, his surroundings probably noticed it. The other guy wanted to ask his bestfriend because maybe something had happened and also because he and everyone knew that Taehyung wasn't always like this. Only something so bad and unnerving would have triggered that kind of behavior from the other boy. (The cold, ice cold, gloomy behavior at that.)

"Yah.." Jimin whined, "What's wrong?" He asked, sipping on his strawberry frappe, looking at Taehyung with those wide eyes as he did so. Taehyung ignored him and sighed, shrugging. He wanted to know what was going on with his best friend so at least he could help. They were seated in the cafeteria of their campus. It was break time, and Taehyung had been oddly quiet since this morning (and the other morning, too.) "You've been sulking for so long - you better spill it now Titi."

Taehyung smiled a little at the name and Jimin did too, knowing that whenever he used that petname, his bestfriend would break and tell him. (It had always worked, so this time it was no doubt.)

Taehyung shrugged and looked down at his own feet - the shoes seemed like the most interesting thing right now. He didn't even clearly know what he was upset about. The fact that his three year boyfriend broke up with him or was it the way his expectations of Jeon Jeongguk, someone he had been following for years had been not what he expected? He didn't know anymore, it's true that when something goes down in life, everything follows suit.

Taehyung sighed again, his eyes still trained on his shoes.

When was the last time he washed it?

"You can tell me anything." Jimin moved to sit down beside the other male, his hands clasping on Taehyung's a whole lot bigger ones. "I can help you, Tae. We've been friends for what? 17 years? You know you can trust me." Jimin stated, talking around the pipe in his mouth as he looked at Taehyung.

Was it last month?

"I will listen to everything and - yah! Taehyung are you even listening to me?!"

Or was it last year? Maybe he should just wash it once he arrived home, let it dry out for some time and -

"KIM TAEHYUNG!" Taehyung flinched, turning back to look at his mad bestfriend who was staring at him, annoyed and with a frown settled on his lips. Jimin looked quite cute, almost like a chipmunk and Taehyung stifled a chuckle. "What?" Taehyung grumbled, falling back on the bench as Jimin stared at him.

"What happened?" He asked again, this time gripped Taehyung's cheeks, pressing them together. "And I swear Taehyung, if you don't tell me I will castrate you and feed you to my pet wolf-"

"You don't have wolfs." Taehyung struggled to say through his squished cheeks, looking at Jimin.

"-doesn't matter! Now tell mee!" Jimin whined and some heads turned towards their table. Both of them blushed slightly, gulping a little when some yelled at them for being so loud. Taehyung let out a huff and grabbed his yogurt before pulling Jimin along with him towards the outside of the campus while the shorter whined and complained about how his best friend now keeps secrets from him. Sometimes, Taehyung wants to stab his best friend for being so stupid.

"Yah! Quiet down!" Taehyung hissed once they arrived to the benches. "You're so loud with me, why won't you be this loud when you're with other people?" The brunette grumbled, sitting down on the bench.

Jimin shrugged, "Because they're not you Tae!" He said happily and leaned on the bench before glancing at his bestfriend and punching his arm. "Will you tell me now?" he questioned.

Taehyung nodded and sighed, letting out a small groan. 17 years of friendship has been bonding them together- it's like they've known each other all of their lives. Taehyung can never keep secrets from Jimin and neither can the shorter - no matter how hard they tried.

"Jaemin-hyung broke up with me..." Taehyung sighed, leaning back on the park bench, pouting and letting a sigh fall from his lips. He shoved his hands into his coat pockets, hearing a gasp and a dramatic WHAT? from his bestfriend. "He thought I cheated on him with Dongwoo, but all it was a peck on the cheek and I didn't even knew how that happened because I was drunk but he wouldn't let me explain."

Jimin hummed, leaning back on his chair. Kang Dongwoo was their senior and he remembered clearly how Taehyung was dared to give him a peck on the cheek the other day at the party. He and everyone knew it was platonic and nothing else. Jaemin has been dating Taehyung for years - he should've known better that Taehyung wasn't the type to go around cheating on someone he had even planned on marrying. Unless...Jaemin was looking for a reason to end the relationship.

Jimin was a quiet boy, sure, but he was observing and knew everything that goes on with everyone even though they didn't tell him. He knew it was none of his business, but he hears and realizes everything even though he don't want to. Being smart and quick witted is just one of my powers, maybe. So just like always, he didn't say anything but hug Taehyung, and just like that, they sat on the benches, talking about nothing and everything helping each other get their minds off things.

Jeongguk sighed as he sat in his studio, he just got a scolding from Yoongi for just walking off the other day and how they were delayed for their comeback. Yoongi had given him a punishment to practice again tomorrow even if it was their day off. Just when he was about to start writing a song, he heard the doorbell of his studio ring. He huffed and sighed, pressing the button on his desk that opens the auto slide door of his studio.

Namjoon walked in and sighed softly, looking at Jeongguk's back. He opened his mouth to start talking to the younger but was abruptly cut off, "If you came here to apologize, forget it." Jeongguk uttered calmly, starting to type something into his computer. Namjoon sighed and looked at Jeongguk.

"At least listen to me-" He started, looking at the maknae's back still turned on him.

Jeongguk sighed and turned around, looking up at the second oldest of the group. "I don't have to listen to you, YOU were the reason why I'm in this situation in the first place." Jeongguk looked at the male, his eyes shooting daggers. Namjoon closed his mouth, suddenly lost for words.

"You know I didn't mean for it to happen-"

"Save it." Jeongguk spat, turning back to his computer. Namjoon let out a defeated sigh before leaving the maknae's studio.
