**Warning Spoiler Ahead**
Aura is one of the highly-threatened race of humans. Some years in an alternate future the destruction of Earth was forged in the crucible of men's neglect, greed, and ignorance. Damning a staggering number of survivors to a life of terror in space.
Luckily, a planet named Vitus similar to Earth had been discovered. But, once again, the human race faces a struggle of adapting to the new world and conforming to the new rules. One question remains prevalent in this beautiful story of Aura and her friends. Will Humans return to their place in the food chain or will they be prey to the harsh trials of Vitus.
REVIEW
Let me start by saying if any work is near to becoming the next bestseller: It is the book. A few last edits from a beta reader or any read aloud app will help. The writing was without the errors noticeable in first drafts, so I take it that the writer had worked extensively on it. But, there are still some places where commas and colons where needed to keep the flow of the book. I would recommend the writer get more beta-readers or play her book like an audiobook (There are so many apps for that). It is going to help the book a lot.
The paragraphing was good.
I loved the character development. I loved the Ashton bad boy attribute; it was somewhat cliché, but still intriguing. Every other character had his/her own personality that can be relatable to—Bulus(the over caring father figure), Kitty(the adorable girl you can't help adoring) and more. The writer took the time to explain what they looked like, which helped to draw a picture of who they were. Their conversation was free-flowing and spoke much about their various personalities.
Also, extensive work was done on the Setting. The setting is a vital part of any book; it can either reel the reader in or otherwise. From the ARC to Vitus, I could see how the living conditions affected the people: culture and other beliefs. Every character having his/her own piece of clothing.
In my own opinion, I will advise the writer to work on the book's name. Something that seems catching; Like, THE LAST ARCS or LIFE IN VITUS or AURA'S JOURNAL or AURA IN VITUS. Forgive me, but SOUL just deems plain.
