Chapter Three
"Welcome back to Site-01, Six. Exemplary work at 19; you learned nothing." Overseer Ten had their arms crossed, annoyance and anger lining their tone. "Not only that, but we now have multiple sitewide breaches, and you brought people who don't have the clearance to be here!"
"People who have done more work to assist me than you have, Ten."
"Let's maintain decorum." One had stress lining his voice, a rare sign of emotion from him. "We can always amnesticize the personnel Six brought with her. But we may need their assist-"
"Overseers."
Each and every Overseer stood as the voice emanated from a conference speaker.
The Administrator.
"Fix this mess. We're risking either an IK-Class 'Collapse of Global Civilization Scenario' or a WK-Class 'Mass Extinction Event'."
All thirteen of the council were silent for a few moments.
Then Six spoke up. "Considering the escaped objects, you're underexaggerating, Administrator. Site-Nineteen alone was pandemonium."
"Then what, Overseer Six? What are we risking?"
Six crossed her arms. "Can't you tell? This could become XK-Class." Code for an end of the world scenario.
Scared silence followed.
Then One cleared his throat. "Notify the personnel at Two-Thousand, and order them to begin preliminary activation. Six, put your team to use; somehow, the Group of Interest responsible for all of this got MTF Omega-Nine to help them. Recover the computer."

One new message:
Follow the attached directions to the smaller of the meeting rooms here. I have a mission for you.

"Isabel, your five-o'-clock is here."
"Emma, I told you to call me 'Doctor Wondertainment ', not my first name. Bring them in."
Doctor Wondertainment certainly didn't dress the part of a doctor.
But her five-o'-clock?
Whoever they were, they definitely dressed like a doctor. At least, they wore a lab coat.
The rest of their five-o'-clock's identity was completely concealed via a black silhouette. Doctor Wondertainment wouldn't be surprised if this was caused by something anomalous.
"Welcome!" Doctor Wondertainment gave her usual wide grin, which she believed to be very friendly, and held out a hand for this person to shake.
They didn't take it.
Wondertainment's grin faltered for a moment, and she lowered her hand. "Now, why did you schedule this meeting? Was there something wrong with one of my products?"
"All of your products are wrong. Your M.O. is terrible." The person did not sit despite Wondertainment's gesture to a seat.
"And why is that?" Wondertainment answered. "What can I do to improve, then?"
"It's simple." The person withdrew a small folded piece of paper from a pocket of their lab coat. "You using anomalies to make people smile? Revolting. Even worse, you once partnered with that idiot pharmacist to make a toy doctor's kit. As for how you can improve?" They unfolded the paper, placing it facedown on Wondertainment's desk. "Just look at that."
Doctor Wondertainment picked up the photo. Confusion entered her expression when she saw the creature on it. "Just what is this?" She questioned, looking up at the person.
"Something you really shouldn't've seen the face of. Goodbye." The person turned, exiting.
Wondertainment stood. "What do you mean? What did you make me see? Get back here!" She began to follow the person.
An abnormally tall, stark-white creature burst into the room, screeching and preventing Doctor Wondertainment from leaving.
The visitor showed no expression on their hidden face as they walked away from the sound of Wondertainment's screams, no remorse as they strode past the body of the woman's assistant as she bled out from a knife wound.
Instead, they wrote a message for their followers to find:
Head back to Site-19. It's time you learned some of the objective.
