Blissful mornings, cheerful afternoons and serene nights were witnessed by the whole Oberoi mansion. Oberoi family members always looked like busy bees, happy in their own little world.

The whole mansion was nothing less than a paradise full of Ishqbaazi. A modern, lovable and cool Dadi, her two hot headed but loving sons and beautiful daughter in laws and last but not the least, Dadi's three grandsons and granddaughters, it was a perfect happy family. When everything becomes too happy, it looks like fairy tale, isn't it ? But who cares for the future, we should enjoy the present.

"You jatadhari hippee !! Give me my phone back, right. Now." Shouted Gauri, the 2nd eldest grand daughter in law of the house, on her husband omkara who was probably pissed off because his wife had no time for him as he came back from his exhibition after whole two weeks.

"O, give it to her. Don't you remember, she had crushed your car under a bulldozer so mercilessly ? Think, if she did the same with you ?" Rudra said and gasped dramatically at the end getting a 'get lost' kinda reaction from Om and Bhavya laughed out loud at her dumbel husband.

"Why are you laughing, Copsy?" Rudra grinned as he saw Bhavya frowning when she listened the word 'copsy'. His wife hated it and he loved to annoy her saying the same word atleast 30 times a day.

Now it was Gauri and Om's time to laugh as they reconciled and Rudra Bhavya started fighting. The elder clan was as usual, sipping their evening tea and enjoying the fights.

"Bhabi, tell this copsy not to call your sweet, handsome, hot devar, a dumbbell." Rudra whined as he saw his Anika bhabi standing with his bhaiya, smiling.

"Bhaiya, you also tell this dumbbell not to call me copsy." Bhavya also asked her Shivaay bhaiya to get on her side.

"guys stop fighting, you all are not kids." Shivaay said to RuVya and OmRi and Anika chuckled seeing their grumpy faces.

""look who's talking. Have you forgotten Billu and Anika, that you both are the reason it is happening ? You both have taught these 'kids' to fight like this." Dadi's one simple sentence and Billu-Billi became silent.

"No Dadi, we don't fight now, even though this Bagad billa..." Anika was about to start her little banter but Dadi interrupted her.

"Now you don't start, I don't want atleast you both to fight. You only do one thing and that is, give me a great grand child, that's it." Dadi finished the matter, on the same topic making Shivika redy red.

"Dadi this daughter in law of yours is herself a child." Shivaay tried to change the embarrassing topic, but it changed Anika's cooling mode instead.

"how dare you call me a child ? Wait... yes. I'm still a cute little child, only You are an old man, Bagad billa." Anika scoffed at her husband making him frown.

"panika you..." Shivaay's fight mode was also going to get on but it stopped, all thanks to Pinky.

"stop it, both of you. Shivaay don't trouble my daughter." Pinky took her daughter's side as always and Anika stuck out her tongue to irritate Billu more.

"Exactly, we don't want our mansion's windows and mirrors to be broken by our very 'Khidkitod' Anika." Tej said and stressed the word Khidkitod to tease Anika and she jumped twice to show her annoyance.

Seeing her cute antics everybody smiled and then they went for the dinner. After dinner, they retired to their rooms as tomorrow is Saturday and they had decided to go on a picnic to their farmhouse in lonavla.

Next day, they departed early in the morning from mansion with a very cheery mood. All the members were very happy as they got a free time to come out of their stressful routine.

As they reached their farmhouse, the elders departed to their rooms saying that they are tired and want to have some rest and youngsters decided to roam around the area after freshening up a bit afterall, lonavla was a beautiful place to roam around, especially in this monsoon season.

The couples decided to spend their own quality time and meet at the same place in the evening.

Om took Gauri to the nearby waterfall. Gauri being a dance lover started dancing on the the drizzling tune of the rain and om didn't leave even a single step of hers uncaptured in his camera.

Rudra and Bhavya being adventurous and spotty, decided to go to the hilly area and explore the beauty of the place.

Shivaay took Anika to a secret place of his, which was not known to any of his family members. It was a small hut made with leaves and pillars of bamboos instead of walls. The greenary around the place made it look more beautiful. The sound of the falling water from the nearby waterfall was amazing. On top of that, it was drizzling.

They lit a small bonfire and sat in each other's embrace. Shivaay was silent whole the time while Anika was talking with all those hand gestures of hers. After a while she realised only she was talking and he was silent. She turned a little from the back hug position to see him and raised her brows in query.

"keep talking, blushing queen." He answered and pecked her lips. But she captured his lips and then hugged him.

"actually silence is better, then I can listen your heart beats." Anika said and tightened the hug and he smiled while kissing the top of her head.

Night time was also fun as the whole family sat around the bonfire and playing passing the parcel. Only the couples played whereas, Dadi and sahil chose to handle the music system.

Next day, after breakfast, they decided to play a game of badminton, boys vs girls. They were playing in pairs like first the match was between janvi-pinky and tej-shakti. The match was won by Tej and Shakti.

Next match was between Om-Rudra and Gauri-bhavya. Gauri and Bhavya won the match as om and rudra were too busy in arguing who missed more shots.

Then it was between Shivaay and Anika. They were giving a tough competition to each other. Suddenly Shivaay started loosing. He was feeling weak and he was coughing time again.

Anika noticed it but he gestured her that he was fine. Anika wasn't convinced so she lost the match deliberately. She didn't tell anything to the other family members. Everybody went to take some rest after lunch.

"Shivaay let's go to the doctor, you look tired and I don't know why I'm feeling that you are not fine." Anika said as she gave him his medicines.

"I'm fine Anika, it was just.. due to playing and over stressing. Don't worry." Shivaay tried to convince Anika.

"Shivaay there's no harm in talking to the doctor at least." She tried to reason.

""No..Ani..ka I'm f.." he started coughing and Anika panicked. She rubbed his back but nothing worked. He fell down due to the ache in his heart and she started crying.

Listening to her shouting, the family assembled there and seeing Shivaay's condition they panicked. They called ambulance and Shivaay was taken to the hospital.

"We've performed some tests. We would be able to say something only when the test results come." The doctor informed them and left leaving them in tension.

"His heart is getting weak. Mere medicines can't support him now, he needs a surgery. Even, the chances of success of the surgery are 10 percent. Its upto you all what you want to do." The doctor's words fell like a thunderbolt on them.

Mere the thought was dreadful, unimaginable. They went to meet Shivaay, who was looking at them with a smile. His smile said it all, he got to know it.

OmRu went to him and hugged him tightly. They cried and cried as the whole family was shedding tears.

"Look, they are talking rubbish. You're the great Shivaay Singh Oberoi, how can something happen to you." Rudra said to his bhaiya and om also looked at him helplessly.

"stop it everyone, I don't want to see you people crying in the last few days of my..." Shivaay tried to be cool but stopped when he got angry glared from the family.

Everybody showed their pain in the form of tears, but Shivaay was worried for the one person who didn't cry. Her silence was painful and it was showing the storm that she was having within her.

The surgery was to be performed after a month as it was referred by the doctors. Shivaay wanted the surgery to happen because he didn't want his family to live in sorrows. It had to be settled afterall. They were back to Oberoi mansion. The happy Oberoi mansion was gloomy as nobody had anything to talk.

Anika's silence was killing Shivaay. The girl who couldn't stay without talking even for a minute, was always silent.

At night, Anika gave him his medicine and she was about to leave but Shivaay stopped her. He made her sit on his lap and she didn't protest, instead she rested her head on his chest.

"Anika, may be I always say that you talk a lot and you annoy me, but actually your annoying talks are my strength. Your voice, your talks make me strong. Don't be silent like this, it's killing me." Shivaay said as he stroked her hair.

"what do you think, why am I silent ? It's because I know you're going to be fine. You won't be able to live without me you know, so you will have to come back to me only." She said in a very calm and composed manner, still not shading a single tear.

"that's true, I'm and will always be yours. Will you do something for me ?" Shivaay asked and she just nodded.

"Office work is pending and we can't let it happen. Will you please take my place till.. the surgery happens ?" Asked Shivaay from Anika and she looked at him, silently. They didn't need words to talk.

She knew why Shivaay wanted her to take his place. He didn't mean it when he said 'till the surgery happens'. He actually meant, 'will you take my place, forever, in office, in buissnes world, in my family?' . She knew that he was also suffering and just gave a sad smile. She nodded and hugged him.

Days passed, but nothing changed except for the thing that Anika joined the office. Everybody knew that she is hard-working, but nobody had expected her to be such an excellent business person.

Shivaay helped Anika in the work but most of the suggestion and decisions were taken by Anika. Tej and Shakti were happy that Anika was doing so well, she was accepted by the staff whole heartedly. The staff was very happy while working under her supervision.

But they were upset with Shivaay because he had taken a DECISION that could be wrong, infact it is wrong. They would not have felt bad if the decision was taken in any other circumstances. But in such time, if Anika came to know about it, she would shatter. Everyone could see that their old, happy Anika was lost. She never cried and acted of being strong because she was holding herself on the basis of hope that Shivaay is with her.

They tried to stop Shivaay from taking such decision but he was adamant on it. Just like that, one month passed and the day of the surgery arrived. Shivaay was taken to the OT. The whole family was there except Anika.

He didn't want her to join him. He sent her for the meeting saying that the deal was important. Surprisingly, she didn't protest. She silently hugged him and went to the office. He knew that she would cry, she would take stress if she came to the hospital with him. So it was better for her to be busy.

These 6 hours were longest for the Oberoi family. Their fear was haunting them every second, the fear of losing their Shivaay, their strength. It was the darkest time of their life. They faced so much in their life, many people tried to harm them but they were never this scared.

As they say, the darkest hour is just before the dawn, these 6 dark hours also passed and their morning arrived when the doctor gave them a small yet positive smile.

The whole family met him. They were very happy and thanked God for blessing them. The whole day passed but Anika didn't come to the hospital. Shivaay kept asking Om for her but Om also had no answer.

"I had informed her Shivaay. I don't know why she didn't come yet." Om informed Shivaay.

Shivaay was feeling discomfort. Anika could never do this. After meeting she could come to meet him. She knows very well that after surgery he would want to meet her first.

After some time, khanna informed them that Anika went to Shimla for their next project. It came as a shock for the family as well as Shivaay. A few days back Anika was arguing with him that she doesn't want to go to Shimla that too leaving him alone for three weeks. But how could she go like that, without informing and meeting him for once.

Three weeks were a long time for Shivaay when it comes to her. He wasn't able to stay without her. He sensed that her behaviour was changed. She called om or rudra to inquire about his health. She didn't talk to him even for once. Even om and other family members were confused by this. They were getting tensed for Anika. There is some problem otherwise, Anika isn't a person who would behave like this and too in Shivaay's matter.

After three weeks, Anika came back from Shimla at night, but Shivaay and other family members were asleep by then. Next day she left for office early in the morning without meeting anyone. In fact, Shivaay got to know that Anika was back when he saw her unpacked suitcase. Now it was a limit for him. He wanted to talk to her. He decided to talk to her when she returns. But at night she came late and he slept due to the high dosage of medicine.

Next day he didn't take his medicines so that he doesn't sleep before Anika comes. As soon as Anika entered the room Shivaay went to her and hugged her tightly. But she didn't respond.

She just gave a small smile and started to leave but he stopped her. He knew her, he knew her smile. His Anika's smile is beautiful, so infectious that anyone could fall for it. This smile was fake.

"What happened, Anika ?" he asked with seriousness in his voice. “nothing” she replied in one word and tried to get out of his grip. “there is something that is bothering you, please tell me ani.” Shivaay asked as sweetly as he could.  “There's nothing. Everything is normal.” Anika replied and it irked Shivaay more.

“Anika what happened, you are not what you are showing. You didn't come to meet me, didn't even talk once in these three weeks. You called om Rudra or other family members to ask about my health but never talked to me. And you think I would believe every thing is normal.” Shivaay asked as he cupped her face in his palms.

“I told you, there's nothing, absolutely nothing so what should I tell you.” Anika shouted and pushed him away from herself. The while family came there as they heard Anika's shouting.

“If there's nothing, why are you not behaving as my Anika used to do ? Why aren't you talking to me ? Don't you know that I'm dieing to hear from you ?” he asked again.

“Why do you want me talk, for what ? You have your family to talk, who am I ? So what if I'm the same Anika or not ? So what if I'm alive or I've died ? Why hell does it matter at all ? Stay happy with your family.” Anika shouted as loud as she could and tears started flowing down her cheeks.

Shivaay and others were shocked seeing her outburst. Anika isn't like that, infact she would never behave this way and say all of these things. They were now really tensed.

“Anika what are you saying, how could you think like that, I..” Shivaay tried to calm her anger but she stopped him showing her palm.

“what ? I'm just a servant whom you wanted to take care of your business and your family after you d... not even once you thought about me before taking such a DECISION. What do you expect me to think what am I to you ? I accepted your request that I'll join the office until you get fine, I had full faith in you that you won't leave me, that you won't lose hope. But what you did, you took the decision that I will be the CEO of Oberoi industries if something happened...” Anika started crying and the others looked at Shivaay for an explanation.

Tej and Shakti were the ones who knew the reason of Anika's sudden outburst. The thing that they feared was happening. They knew that Shivaay's decision would hurt Anika and it did, but to this extent, it was unexpected.

“you lost hope, you didn't want to fight for me. You didn't want to try it at least for our love. You just took a cowardly decision to leave everything to me and go. You are a coward, you are...” Anika shouted at him and fell unconscious. Shivaay held her before she could fall.

“someone call the doctor.” Shivaay patted Anika's cheeks after he made her lie down on the bed and sat beside her holding her hands. He didn't know that his decision could be so wrong. He had not thought that she would interpret it this way.

“Due to stress her BP was high and she had not eaten anything. Make sure you keep her happy and stress free.” Doctor informed them after examining Anika and left after prescribing some medicines.

“We told you Shivaay, don't take such decision, you'll hurt her. But you were adamant. Now look, to what extent she is broken. She thought she doesn't matter to you. Now it's upto you how you handle her but remember, if she cried even for once, I myself will kill you.” Tej said to Shivaay and he wasn’t joking, he was serious. Anika wasn’t less than a daughter to him.

“She didn’t cry from last one and a half month, because she was supporting everyone. She thought you will never disappoint her, but you took a decision that made her think that you gave up. Now please make it up to her.” Dadi said to Shivaay and everyone left Shivika alone for the time being.

“I'm sorry, please her up. It's getting difficult for me to breath, it's making me suffocated that I made you suffer so much. Get up, shout, beat me, punish me, but just speak to me.” Shivaay said to Anika who was sleeping. He kissed her forhead and lied beside her taking her in his embrace.

Anika opened her eyes with much difficulty as her head was still pounding die to pain. She tried to get up but she realised someone was holding her tightly. She found Shivaay sleeping beside her and his hands were encircled around her waist. Her tears started flowing as she remembered everything. She was so angry that she didn't realise her tears fell on Shivaay's face and he woke up.

“Anika are you ok, why didn't you wake me up.” Shivaay asked and caressed her face. She looked at him with teary eyes and anger flowing through her veins. She tried to get up but Shivaay stopped her by hugging her waist such that her back collided with his front.

“Please... don't go. Don't be silent. I know I've done a mistake and you can punish me. Throw water on me, break the windows, you can even break my bones but just talk. Don't keep it within yourself, don't make yourself suffer. Please...” Shivaay cried holding her close to himself.

“did you talk ? Before taking such a decision. Did you think about me back then ? No. You just wanted to leave me alone.” She cried as tried to free herself from his tight grip. She was melting, she knew she can't resist his touch. If she remained close to him then she would melt and forgive him for the pain he gave her.

“trust me, I was just... I wanted you to be independent. I wanted you to learn to fight the world, without anyone's help.” He said to her, trying to make her understand his own reasons.

Anika's anger was raised to another level when she heard his stupid reasons and she turned to face him. “You are the most selfish person I've ever seen in the world Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi. You are a jerk, an idiot, a stupid, a coward.” She grabbed his collar harshly and said. At last She started hitting him with her fists. Shivaay didn't protest and let her do what She wants.

But at a point, he winced in pain as she hit him a bit harshly and she stopped right there. He could see her concern for him. He also knew that it would have given more pain to her. She caressed his face and whispered numerous sorries.

He hugged her tightly and she let him do that. At the end, she knew that she can't stay away from him, she can't stay angry from him and she can't see him in pain.

She cried her heart out. From last one and a half month she was suffocating. She didn't want to cry and make him weak so she kept suffering alone. Now she wanted to be weak and let it go.

“Now can I see my wife's face, I'm dying to do that.” Shivaay says to Anika to cheer her mood when she stopped crying. “No.” Replied Anika and remained in the hug.

“why" Shivaay was whining like a child. “ Because that is your punishment.” She replied and smiled seeing his reaction. In Next second she was pinned to mattress and Shivaay was on top of her.

“you can't do that, I told you to beat me or scold me, but I didn't give you permission to not let me see your face ok. And not at any cost I'm going to  let you do that.” Shivaay said in his cheapda mode and Anika just chuckled.

She made a Serious face as she saw him staring at her lips. He was about to capture her lips but she grabbed a cushion and put it between their mouths and he kissed the cushion instead.

“Now tolerate it. You also troubled me a lot.” Anika grinned standing on the bed. Shivaay threw the cushion away and started tickling her and she laughed like a maniac.

“Shi...stop...Shiva.. pl..hahaha...Please...” Anika laughed as he tickled her more.

After a good entertainment both fell down on the bed being tired. “Never think that I can live without you. I'm a stupid who keeps making mistakes but I promise I won't do such stupidity again. And, please don't ever stop talking to me. You are my Pillar, my streght
hugged each other.
