Chapter 10:

"We're matching."

Living room:

Everything was decked up in the living room for the Ganesh Pooja for the wedding. The senior Oberois were attending the guest as everyone was waiting for the soon to be married couple. The press for present and so were the many celebrities and one of the many faces seen in the pooja was the Kapoor sisters

Panditji was seen preparing the aarti diya for the pooja. As everyone was having their own conversations, the Obros were waiting for the Randhawa Sisters to walk down the stairs.

Shivaay's look:

Swayam: "Waise Shivaay mujhe nhi pata tha ki tu itna romantic hai. I mean maine toh tujhe Tia ke saath bhi aise behave karte hohe nhi dekha." (By the way, Shivaay I have not seen your romantic side. I mean you were never this romantic towards Tia.)

Shivaay: "Aisa kuch nhi hai Swayam, woh main bas..." (It's nothing like that, I am just...)

Rudra: "Bhaiya apne aaj tak koi typical lover wala koi kam nahi kiya. Kya app na usse 3-3 bajay tak uss se phone per baat ki hai, kabhi usne apke sath rock star ke gaanay sunay hai, kabhi usne pyaar se app ko baby kaha hai app. Kya aap dono ne ek dusare ko nickname diye hain, kya usne kabhi apko Shivo baby-Shivo baby kaha hai?" (Bhaiya, you have never acted like a typical lover. Have you ever called Tia at 3 am, have you listened to rockstar's songs together, has she called you baby? Did you two have nicknames for each other, has she called you Shivo baby?)

Shivaay: "Of course not aur yeh Shivo kya hota hai, mera naam Shivaay hai, Shivaay Singh Oberoi." (Of course not and what is this Shivo-Shivo, my name is Shivaay, Shivaay Singh Oberoi.)

Omkara: "Waise yeh sab ladies kahan reh gaye?" (By the way, where are the ladies?)

Rudra: "Arrey woh dekho, aa gayi." (Hey look, there they are)

Everyone present in the room looks towards the stairs and saw the Randhawa sisters walk down the stairs. The Obros jaw's dropped looking at the Randhawa sisters. The media started taking pictures as the guest admired the bride and her sisters.

Anika's look: (Same outfit, jewellery, makeup and hairstyle)

Shivaay walks towards the stairs and extends his hand out for Anika to grab on. All smile at his gesture as their heart warms up. Shivaay leans forward to whisper something in Anika's ear.

Shivaay: "Bohat khoobsurat lag rahi ho." (You are looking lovely)

Anika lowers her head shyly as adrenaline makes its way to her cheeks. She gathers the courage to answer.

Anika(shyly): "Thank you, aap bhi." (Thank you, you too.)

Shivaay: "Haan? Kya khoobsurat?" (What? Beautiful?)

Anika: "Nhi mera matlab hai handsome, bohat aache lag rahe hai aap." (No, I mean handsome, you are looking very handsome today.)

Dadi(teasingly): "Aacha ab tum dono ki baatein katam ho gayi ho, toh pooja shuru kare." (Okay, if you two are done talking, can we get the pooja started)

All laugh while Shivika blush and make their way towards the Ganesh Murti, with everyone else following right behind them.Gauri makes her way towards Omkara and stands beside him.

Gauri: "Did you notice that we're matching?"

Omkara knew that he was matching with Gauri because he did that on purpose. When he went to her room, he saw that she was wearing a black saree and he had a black kurta he could wear to match with her. It was no mere coincidence that they were matching. But he had to hide it from Gauri because if she knew, she will think he is being weird and overly possessive. He plasters a smile on his face to answer her.

Omkara: "Haina, what a coincidence, hum dono ne black pehna hai." (Right, what a coincidence, both of us are wearing black.)

Gauri: "Waise bohat sexy lag rahe ho aaj." (By the way, you look really sexy today)

Gauri winks at him as he was in complete shock of what just happened. He didn't know that she was this bold and blunt. His jaws automatically dropped and he just stared at her for a while but his trance was broken by Panditji asking Shivaay and Anika to perform the pooja.

Panditji: "ab shadi wala joda pooja karega." (Now the soon to be married couple will perform the pooja.)

Shivika nod and move forward to grab the aarti diya. All fold their hands and watch as Shivaay and Anika do the pooja.

Soon after Shivika perform the pooja, TejVi and then ShInky were asked to perform the pooja. Om and Gauri were still standing beside each other. Abeer and Bhavya were busy talking about the Sultan case. Soumya and Rudra were talking about his ex in the mall yesterday, while Ishaana and Swayam were arguing with eachother.

Panditji took Gauri and Omkara as a couple as they looked quite cozy with each other. Panditji also saw Swayam and Ishaana arguing and Soumya and Rudra laughing about something. He saw Bhavya and Abeer in a deep conversation about something. He took them as married couples.

Panditji: "Ab Omkara aur Gauri pooja karege." (Now Omkara and Gauri will do the pooja.)

TejVi and ShInky were about to say something when Dadi stopped them.

Dadi (audible to seniors): "Kya kar rahe ho, dono ko pooja karne do." (What are you doing? Let them do the pooja)

They keep quiet as Gauri and Omkara hold the aarti diya and conduct the pooja. The Obros and Randhawa sisters didn't know that this pooja was only to be conducted by married couples or soon to be married couples.

Even the guest who knew about the pooja being conducted by only married couples but they kept quiet and watched as Gauri and Omkara did the aarti.

Panditji: "Ab Swayam aur Ishaana pooja karege aur fir Abeer aur Bhavya aur uske bad akir mein Rudra aur Soumya." (Now Swayam and Ishaana will do the pooja then Abeer and Bhavya and in the end Rudra and Soumya.)

Gauri and Omkara hand the aarti diya to Swayam and Ishaana and move back to let them perform the pooja. All watch the pooja being conducted but they don't atter a word.

Soon Abeer and Bhavya take the aarti diya and start doing the aarti.

Omkara: "Waise mujhe nhi pata tha ki tum itni bold ho" (I didn't know that you're this bold)

Gauri (smirks): "Aadat daal lo Om, kyuki abhi tumhe mere bare mein pata hi kya hai?" (Gett used to it Om, because you barely know anything about me)

Omkara: "Baat toh sahi hai. Theek hai fir dekhte hai, mujhe tumhare baare kya nhi pata." (That is true. Okay fine, let's see how much I know about you.)

Gauri: "Okay fine, aaj raat hum tumhare room mein milege and fir hum dekhe ge main tumhare bare mein kitna janti hu and tum mere bare mein kita jante ho." (Okay fine, tonight let's meet in your room and then we will se how much I know about you and how much you know about me.)

Omkara: "Done deal!"

Both smile at each other and share a long eye lock. But the eye lock was broken by the Oberois staring at them. Both blush and look down.

Panditji: "Ab Anika beta brahmano ko bojan parosegi." (Now Anika beta serve the priests food.)

Ishaana: "Panditji hum bhi madat kardete hai." (Panditji can we help?)

Panditji: "Zaroor beta." (Of course dear)

All the priest take their seats as the guest begin to leave as well as the Kapoor sisters and the media. Soumya, Bhavya, Ishaana, Anika and Gauri started serving the priest. The Oberois stood on the side.

Abeer (to Obros): "Guys we should help serve as well"

Shivaay: "I agree, chalo help karte hai." (I agree, let's help then)

The Obros move forward and also start serving the priests.

After a while

By now all the guest had left and it was only the Oberois and Panditji and the priests.

Priest: "Bhagwaan dono ki jodi ko salmat rahke aur aap dono ki jodi ko kisi ki nazar na lage." (May God bless you two and keep you two safe.)

Panditji: "Aacha Kalyani ji ab hum chalte hai, namaste." (We shall take a leave now Kalyani ji, good bye)

The Oberois: "Namaste"

The Panditji and the priests leave. The Oberois sit down on the couches in the living room.

Pinky: "Chalo pooja acche se hogayi, ab bas shadi acche se hojaye." (Finallu the pooja went smoothly. I wish the wedding goes by smoothly as well)

Soumya: "Pinky aunty aap chinta mat kejiye, shadi bhi acche se hogi." (Pinky aunty, don't you worry, the wedding will go by perfectly)

Bhavya: "Haan aunty and waise bhi humne Oberoi Mansion ke bahar security bada di hai so koi bhi stranger na aa sakhe." (Yes aunty and I increased the security outside the Oberoi Mansion, so no stranger can enter.)

Janhvi: "Yeh tumne sahi kiya beta." (You did the right thing dear)

Tej: "Haan, waise bohat raat ho chuki hai, ab hum sab ko so jana chahiye." (Yes, by the way, its really late, we should go to bed now)

Shakti: "I agree, waise bhi kal Mehndi hai and hum sabko jaldi uthna hai." (I agree and tomorrow is the Mehndi and all of us have to wake up early.)

Dadi: "haan, chalo bacho, Good night."

The senior Oberois leave to their respective rooms leaving the younger Oberois alone.

Rudra: "O! Main aaj apke saath so raha ho." (O, I am sleeping with you today)

RiKara: "Nahi!" (No!)

Shivaay: "Arrey but kyu nhi Om, waise bhi kabhi kabhi Rudra tere saath sota hai." (But why not Om, Rudra sleeps in your room sometimes.)

Om: "Woh aaj mujhe ek painting complete karni hai and bohat kam hai mujhe." (I actually have to complete a painting and I have a lot of work.)

Gauri: "Main bhi apne kamre main jaa rahi ho, Ishu di aaj aap akele so jao." (I'm also going to my room, Ishu di you can sleep alone today.)

Om and Gauri both run out of the living room into Omkara's room. The rest look at them wigmth a weird expression but then head to their respective rooms to sleep.
