Chapter 3

The news, staff, and police were split between discussing the leaked video and Volgo's transactions. Britt noticed Jacob conversing with an officer while being asked certain questions herself. Not too long after, the crowd of students outside, including Bella's group, started reacting on the phone.

"That's Bella?"

Brittney rushed over. Her face grew at the sight of Bella being held over a toxic melting waste by a gorilla style robot holding her in place.

The camera panned close to Bella with Volgo showing up right beside her and a news crew tied up, explaining the camera footage.

"Oh relax Missy. You said you're looking for that warrior who defiled my plans yesterday!"

It hit both girls he'd followed her account.

"I am too," going from angered to positively cheerful. "However, that can come later. Right now I will let you go under two conditions," positioning the camera so everyone could hear her. "All I ask is that one of your friends arrives. That shouldn't be hard for you, right?"

With a snap of his fingers, the robot loosened its grasp, allowing Bella to reach for her phone. "You can contact anyone with these coordinates," giving her time to write them down and send it. "If anyone shows up, you'll be set free."

"What's the second?"

"Blizzard can't arrive at all. If she shows up, I'll drop you."

Brittney sucked her teeth. Worse, she didn't have Bella's phone number. The best option, ask Bella's friends for help.

"Absolutely not."

"But she's in danger," hearing the sounds of Bella's texts vibrating their phones.

"You saw what that weird freak did the other day, ain't no way we're getting close to that."

"You're just gonna turn your backs on her?'

"If you want to do it, be our guest."

Appalled, Brittney asked around others if they could do it for her but received numerous rejections. The police brought them up to the gym to start screening everyone much to her frustration.

"Yo," said Bern, nudging her. "Calm down,we don't want you turning too. Sorry we didn't get there earlier. How come you didn't give in at lunch?"

"Well I was kinda used to that. Usually I just found a way to escape and do something fun afterwards. Anyways, no one's going to help Bella at this rate. Could you do me a favor?"

"Don't tell me you're going there."

She nodded, showing a photo of the coordinates Bella texted a friend she took while questioning them. "Could you distract the police for me? Just cuz I don't know her that well doesn't mean I'm gonna risk her life."

"Hmm," gazing at the cage of sports equipment. "When I start throwing a ton of balls up high, go."

"Got it."

Bern grabbed and whispered to Ming, who ended up pickpotting the lock to the cage. A ton of balls started flying out, leading the police and the students to pick them up, only for the green clothed athlete to start picking up one after the other and juggling no less than eight balls at once. She hurled them up in the air much to the surprise of everyone before winking at Brittney, who raced out the exit with lack of eyes.

As she rushed down the stairs, Jacob's voice called out for her.

"It's too risky. Let the police handle this."

Brittney shook her head. "I don't know what happened between you but he made his demands clear."

"And if Blizzard shows up? You can't take that risk!"

Brittney halted, pondered the thought, and "I've got a formula to free her," grinning. "Make sure no one flips out till this is over." She turned back for just a second. "Jacob, right? Thanks for being my hero today. Now it's my turn!"

Those words hit Jacob hard, unveiling a design in his phone.

"If I had just one more day."

At the warehouse, Bella's anxious face over the few responses, lack of responses, and reflections to the liquid below her only increased her growing frustration at Volgo.

"What, you're trying to make me one of those Chaos Creatures?"

Volgo shook his head when the giant mole rose out of the ground, giving her the shush finger.

"Then why'd you bring an animal into this?"

"Unlike you, I actually have friends to look out for me. At least ones that'll stick around."

Curiosity crossed her mind. "You had friends?"

"A long time ago, I made quite a few. And just like yours, they abandoned me when I needed them. Now, I'll create a utopia of true friends, even if I need another world to do it!"

"Another world?" That briefly triggered the sight of her face approaching another person in armored clothes kneeling to her. "Hold on, Mr. Mole, there's something I need to ask you."

To Volgo's shock, the mole bounced over the tank right behind her as she asked him questions. They responded with vibrations and released a smell before puffing.

"Mr. Monkey, you can't risk doing that to normal animals! Only certain ones can handle that much energy! If they hold onto it for too long, then they'll die."

"Nonsense, little girl! What do you know about these powers?"

Jacob's words rang hollow as she took out a mirror to see the mole in further distress. "A lot more than you it seems." Any friend, Wizard, please get here soon.

Only a few minutes were left and Blizzard canceled her transformation before heading into the warehouse as Brittney, spotting Volgo, Bella, and the mole as the monkey's robot was loosening it's grip.

"Hey, I'm Bella's friend," she yelled. "Now let her free, and slowly put the robot's hand to the ground!"

"Fine," disappointingly instructing the robot. Bella's hope was rekindled as the hand moved away from the tank, thanking Brittney for coming. Then panic spread to her face when she spotted the mole's eyes burning red in the mirror and lunging out. The blonde hair black girl jumped away in terror when the mole smacked the robot and the camera drone at once, leaving Bella helpless.

Now that no one could see the broadcast, Brittney emitted the aura and scanned it into what she dubbed the P-Tector.

"Chaos Evolution!"

Bella saw Brittney's entire body transform into Blissful Blizzard, who leaped from the ground to right above the tank, freezing the top and catching her, grinding on the ice.

"Brittney, you and her are the same?"

"We'll talk about it later."

She gripped her tightly, sobbing. "I'm too young to die," hugging her. "Thanks. I owe you my life."

"Let's get you out of here first." She carried her akin to a bride, jumping to the ground when Volgo ordered his mon-kus to attack the crimson warrior. Bella hid as Blizzard punched a few of them away and froze more with her breath. Freezing a fist around to put her hand in, she channeled it into a smaller scaled Blizzard Impact to breeze through more.

Her fast footwork to finish of the remaining army later from the flamethrowers that melted off the ice. Blizzard ducked, peeking up at the streams of fire essentially trapping her unless she fought her way through it. Frantically looking for a way out, she crossed her hands through the embers charing her hands and grabbed a robot, pulling them under to melt the machines from below. It started to work when the mole stopped chasing Volgo and charged at her, and a swing of it's claws blew her into the wall.

The living monkey connected two flamethrowers as arm gauntlets and fired at the heroine. With little time to dodge, she endured the flames before Volgo hurled her in between the remaining herd, all of which he commanded to target different limbs while joining in. Blizzard froze around her to form a shield that'd quickly melt as Bella drew parallels to what happened before, balling her fists.

"Not again!" Her eyes darted around, finding a two by four, and lunging at the group beat down, smacking a few away as best as she could and pulling her friend out of the fire.

Blizzard huffed. "I thought you left?"

"I just didn't want Jacob to bother me about that," half-joking while being chased.

"Those flames can cancel out my breath!"

"I have an idea. How about you charge it up and shoot them one by one?"

Another blast was about to hit them when Bella blocked an attack, and Blizzard tried spitting out a more condensed ice projectile, striking one down, which burned others as it flew. It worked though her mouth started feeling dry.

Volgo slammed into the mole, taming it enough to drive it at the two teenagers. The one with powers fought her pain to conjure up a ramp to save them both, but got smashed into the warehouse outside after pushing Bella away, struggling to get up.

The tyrannical beast pinched the mole, slashing the building apart and leaping off into the sky to crush Blizzard to death. Bella's eyes watered: her new friend was going to die with her in it, and a creature whose suffering rang in her ears. She jumped forward to protect Brittney in what seemed like her final moments.

The chaos energy in her body spiraled while getting paranoid about what to do as she imagined being able to keep the promise.

As Volgo and the mole was about to crush them, Bella snapped. The next section she regained consciousness, it was if time stopped for everything but her.

To add to the questions, a humanoid shape descended from above.

"What's wrong, my champion?"

Her mouth opened in shock. "From all those years ago?"

They nodded.

"There's so much I have to ask you about. But my friend, that mole. They aren't from your world but I want to protect them. Is there anything I can do?"

The being also nodded but raised their feminine voice. "Can your aspirations purify the world?"

She nodded. "I want to stop that power from destroying all life on this planet: human, and animal."

The body curtseyed, kissing Bella's hand. The teen's mirror compact case altered into an animalistic, ocean-blue theme shape with several additions and small compartments.

"Use my gift and aspire with your chaos," fading away before the teen could marvel at her beauty.

"Brittney had used the same thing to become super powerful," pressing the device. Black energy spun around her hand, and she slid open the compact case and mirrored the animal kingdom.

"No matter what biome I'm in, I won't give up. Chaos Evolution!"

Bella's body shined. Her body grew larger, her sky-blue fashion designer shirt changed into similarly-colored leggings and sleeves. Her designer shoes became forest themed heels as she received green gloves and an ocean-turquoise vest. Her pigtails became more spherical while the braids developed a lighter shade of yellow.

Time resumed and Bella jumped into the air, headbutting the mole into the building and Volgo off. Blizzard put two and two together as her new ally lifted her up.

"Don't worry Mr. Mole. I won't let you suffer much longer." Her eyes went to the sky, calling down a red hawk. She pressed a button on her compact and a bubble formed around the winged creature. Wings formatted along her back and arms.

"Brazen and bold," Blizzard stuttered. "I dub you Brazen Biome."

Bella turned to her. "Huh?"

"We can't use our real names when we're transformed, you wanna get doxxed?"

"Oh okay. Biome huh? Sounds cool enough." She blasted feathers around Blizzard, who began massaging the teen's wounds. "That should give you some power left. Wanna team up?"

"Absolutely!"

Volgo had just risen when the two girls flew at him and punched him into another street, agreeing to focus on the mole, who roared and slashed cards, poles, and other buildings. Blizzard jokingly yelled for Biome to use Wing Attack, and the latter slashed the mole, diving around every direction until it retreated underground. The monkey was about to get into the fight when the police arrived, mowing down at the two targets.

"Should we stop them?" Volgo got distracted combating them.

"No, let them weaken the monkey guy. For now, we need to get the mole into the air!"

"Got it!" She tapped into the hawk's hearing, anticipating when the ground creature would rise and sprung away in time. Blizzard froze the air around them to create a sheet of ice above the ground after Biome sent the mole flying in the air with a rising kick. It crashed on the ice sheet howling in pain. Biome translated that they need to finish this fast.

"Alright," tossing her phone over to her with instructions. "Ready?"

"Yup." The two ladies watched the mole crack the ice with its claws, squatted their knees and flew up in the air.

"Tsubasa Kyokuken!" Their ice cladened and sharp winged feather shaped fists uppercutted the mole into the sky.

After a few seconds, the mole shrank back to a normal size.

"By the way does that mean again?"

"Wing Polar Fist!"

"Wouldn't Blowryuken work better?"

Brittney stuttered to answer the question in her heroine attire while Biome caught the purified mole. "Gotcha buddy."

The police approached them for questioning. After being asked what to do, Blizzard blew a small wall of ice to cover their height before grabbing her, lifting up and jumping down a manhole into the sewer. A few minutes later, they escaped to a quiet street, rushing to an alleyway and detransforming.

"That really just happened. We're superheroes?!"

Blizzard nodded while the person looked down from below with a smile.

"My knight, please use that power to save my people," while the ominous shadows of darkness loomed behind her.
