Oh, You See That I'm Not That Strong
The pain was back and his body as his mind yelled for her and her little gift of numbness, but she let him wait like she often did. It drove him crazy, he really wondered when the last time had been he had needed something so desperately and couldn't have no matter what. Mick was starting to feel hopeless. Usually he might have been rather optimistic, but this situation had nothing bright about it or at least he hadn't found it yet.
She definitely wasn't an Angel, but instead Mick started to think that she was the Devil, who had condemned him for whatever reason to rot in this hell of pain and need. He had had his doubts about this seduction plan, but with every moment he spend longer in this agony he became surer and surer of it. Two could play this game. She perhaps had messed him up, but he was still Mick Jagger and he surely wouldn't go down like this. All he needed was her to finally come around.
If Mick had had a clock, he would have known that the Sister actually never let him wait. She visited him 3 times a day, exactly every 8 hours. Only his resistance to the meds grew stronger and with it its numbing effects disappeared faster and faster. Forcing him to spend over an hour in unknown anxiety and pain until she finally turned up with her syringe in hand to give him his new dose of numbness.
"How do you feel?" She still looked like a nun in her greyish dark dress and definitely not like a nurse, even if she had claimed to be one, but Mick didn't exactly get the feeling that most of what she had said, had made much sense in the first place. However if she really was a nun, he had to be careful with his flirting. He wasn't sure, but as far as he knew they weren't allowed to have sex or any other form of a physical relationship, which meant he could not alone count on his looks to get her to fall into his trap. He had to play into this insane fantasy of hers.
"Better now that you're here," Mick said. His voice weak as before, but that was his least worry. He felt so disgusted with himself, that he thought he would have to vomit.
"Did you come to reason?" She asked as she stepped closer to his bed. He still couldn't really figure her out. The pain and whatever was left of the drugs were still fogging up his mind and her strange appearance only seemed like a ghost to him. A shadow with a syringe and a messed up mind. Even Keith the hallucination had looked realer to him than she did and no matter how much he concentrated on her, there was nothing that helped him find out more about her. She remained a mystery to him and he wasn't sure if it was a good or a bad sign. Did he really want to know her motifs? Ignorance could be bliss and in this situation everything sounded better than thinking about reality.
Her eyes were shining with hope, probably wishing that he had indeed seen reason, whatever that might mean and Mick had to gulp hard to hold everything in he really wanted to tell her.
"Yes and I have to thank you for that. Without you I would never have seen the error of my ways."
"Not yours, theirs. You're a wonderful being, you only trusted the wrong people, but now that they are gone, you can finally fulfil your mission."
"Only with your help," Mick answered a bit unsure. He had no idea what she thought his mission was, but at this point he doubted it mattered much nor was he really sure if he wanted to find out what she really meant. It surely couldn't be something good for him, but as long as he played along she would at least not hurt him any further, at least he hoped so.
"No, no," She said widely shaking her head and sat down on the bed, next to him. Intuitively he wanted to move away, but thought better of it. He couldn't let her see how sick he felt by her presence or she would never trust him. "I am not worthy enough. You're perfect and I hurt you, but you do understand that I had to, don't you? I just want the best for you. There's nothing more important than your well-being."
Usually his ego would have liked to be complemented, but now he just felt sick. Keith was right that bird was definitely mad about him. "I understand and forgive you," he said with clenched teeth. "But I'm hurt and can't fulfil my mission this way, so I need you to help me."
She looked wide eyed at him and Mick already feared he had fucked it up, but then she blushed and looked down at her hands, which were still holding the syringe . "I-I You really want me to help you?" She mumbled nearly sounding shy now.
"Of course you saved me. There's nobody more worthy to assist me than you."
Mick felt sick at his own words and her wide smile didn't help a bit. He was in deep trouble and needed to get out of here and fast. All he could do was hope that his plan would work and that whatever she thought his mission was, was not life threatening in any way.
"I am worthy?" She mumbled in awe and if she hadn't been an insane psychopath Mick might have even felt some sympathy for the girl that looked like he had been the first to ever praise her. "You really are an Angel. Can I touch you?"
As long as it's not with your hammer again, Mick thought, but smiled at her.
"Go ahead."
He felt her hand slowly wander over his arm onto his chest and her fingertips just seemed to graze his skin like she was afraid to get burnt if she got any closer to it. She definitely had no experience, but Mick had other worries in that moment than her shyness. For the first time in his life he felt disgusted at a woman's touch and the worst thing was he had willingly agreed to it.
"This is so wrong..." Mick thought he heard her whisper and for once he couldn't agree more with her, which probably was a very alarming sign, but he was already past anything reasonable at this stage.
"How can it be wrong when you saved me?"
The Sister looked up from his body to his face and her smile seemed so bright that it caught Mick off guard for a moment. It looked so innocent and naive and totally out of place on a woman that had kidnapped him, drugged up and broken his leg. It was the smile of a genuine happy person.
It unnerved him. Seeing her as a deranged psychopath was easier than thinking that maybe there was more to her, but Mick dismissed the thought. It wouldn't do him any good to question her. All he needed to worry about was how he could get her to trust him, so that he could finally get out of this mess. Nothing more.
"I love you so much..." He was about to answer her, when she laid a finger onto his lips to silence him and he was kind of glad for it. He surely didn't want to return her confession. "I know you can't return my feelings and it's okay. I perfectly understand it... I just want to tell you how glad I am that you're here with me now and that you've finally come to see reason. It's like something out of a dream. I hope it never ends," she said dreamy.
Contrary to Mick, who wished for nothing more than for this nightmare to be over.
