SISTER FACTS !!

I'm pretty notorious for some fact givings about my stories after I finished them. And I have some stuff that I think would be interrsting to share to you on how this fanfic have been brought to life.

So shall we start?

---

1.
In my original concept, Hedith is supposed to be around eleven or twelve, which makes her around four to five years younger than Mal. This idea was scraped because I think Hades wouldn't seriously stay with Maleficent for at least another year so I just kept the age gap between the sisters to two years.

That also works better withthe love story too.

2.
The book was originally just going to run until the conclusion of the third movie. But since I like how the readers react to it, I've decided to give Hedith a coming of age spin-off after the movie's end.

3.
Honestly, I've been thinking of changing the title of the book since after the first part, the story isn't about the Demi-Fairy sisters anymore and more about Hedith, herself. But decided to just keep it.

4.
Hedith's name wasn't always going to be Hedith. Her name was supposed to be "Hel". But that's just cheating. Cause she's a Greek demigod and Hel is the Norse Goddess of Death. So I feel like it was a conversion of some point.

5.
THERE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE A LOVE STORY.

Yeah, we ended with a love story. But honestly, I began this book because I wanted to see/show you guys, how I envisions Mal having a younger sibling that's inthe custody of their father. Hedith's always have been hinted to have a crush on Carlos, even in the first drafts, but nothing happened to it.

6.
In the initial draft, Hedith wasn't going to be approving of Ben so easily as it turns out. She will be very snarky at him and he will be very confused why she is so darn snarky. It wasn't until the barrier was broken that she approves of Ben but still keeps an eye onhim like Hades does.

7.
Hedith (or Hel) was supposed to have a somewhat red hair. Since it was gonna serve as an analogy to that she is a very separate person from both her parents.

But the colors just doesn't add up and doesn't settle with me right. Since Blue plus Red ks equals to violet and that's Maleficent's color. I was just, nuh-uh.

8.
Hedith wasn't supposed to be friends with the pirate trio. She was a complete lone wolf who commits trouble wherever she goes.

9.
Before writing Part 2, I thought of adding a couple more descendants in the mix. Like Peter Pan's kid (and that's really unsettling since Peter is a forever boy), and Merida's daughters and son as Hedith's own gang. But I thought that Dizzy and Celia is enough and having more Original Characters from me will just throw off the story even more.

10.
The evil step-mother trope has been one of the overrated trope that I don't usually agree with so I was wanting to change that by introducing Mal and Hedith's stepmom, Persephone. Persephone's always been nice in literature and other media (although in Percy Jackson, she's a bit cranky haha) and I always saw her that way. And it's a good contrast to Maleficent's own neglectful and evil persona.

Personally, Persephone is my favorite character in this book.

11.
Despite being her stepmom, Mal rarely interacted with Persephone. When it was time for Spring, Kore barely comes to the Auradon Palace since Demeter is dragging her around wherever she wants to. And there's also the fact that Persephone looks forever 21 that makes Mal seem older now that she's 24.

12.
I like Disney's Hercules' Hades more than Descendants' Hades more. I love Cheyenne Jackson, but storywise after Part 1, the OG Disney Hades is more suitable. And who wouldn't want to see Hades bossing around Pain and Panic and getting stressed at the same time?

13.
I honestly restrained myself from including inevitable facts in the stories to keep it from falling apart and feeling a lot depressing. But I did consider that one of the reasons why Hedith doesn't want to get together with Carlos is because of her possible immortality. Like, she is a daughter of an immortal god and a fairy. Both her and Mal. And both of their love interests are just humans. Mortals. So they'd outlive them, sorry to say.

This fact is depressing, but I had the need to include it. I apologize if that saddens you.

14.
The scenes that I enjoyed writing were Hedith's meeting with Dr Facilier about the Soul Snatchers, the I Won't Say I'm in Love, and the Be Prepared numbers.

15.
All the drawing that I have provided were rushed. It's just that, I'm self-pressured (yes, that's a thing) to provide some visuals on how Hedith would actually look like and that's why I rushed all those up.

However, I will try making a revisions of those drawings and make sure to show them to you soon.

16.
Hedith is inspired by multiple characters. Such as: Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender; Amity Blight from The Owl House; Nico di Angelo from Riordanverse/Percy Jackson; Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter; Sasuke from Naruto; and Anna Kyoyama from Shaman King.

Her rich family background, being a lone wolf, and just a have a touch of darkness and coolness in their character.

17.
I had to stop myself from writing a definite epilogue. Because I want you, my readers, to imagine how the story goes from there. What would Hades' reaction knowing another one of his daughters are having a boyfriend? Will the girls and Teri tell Hedith, "I told you so"? Will Ben and Mal's baby be a boy or a girl? Just one or twins?

I want you to make your own epilogue to this book and I'd love to hear them if you don't mind. I'm open for your ideas, everyone!

---

That's all, folks! I hope you like what you knew further about Hedith and see you again soon!
