Hedith woke up on a sound of a stick breaking. She quickly sat up but stays low so no one will notice her. The fire had already been out hours ago and the bags are still there. Mavros also stirred as one head perks up while the other stays down and yawns.

She puts a finger on her lips as she creeps towards a boulder near the location of the sound she hear. Taking a small peek, she saw a hooded figure walking down the mountain, holding a horse in reigns.

She quickly but stealthy woke Carlos on his side of Mavros as the hellhound wakes Dude.

"Huh? What?" He asked groggily.

"Wake up. The target's here," she whispered and crept to their bags, shoving Carlos his and slinging hers over Mavros's back.

Carlos rubs his eyes, having it adjust to his surroundings.

"Urgh! Can't a mutt get a good rest around here?" Dude complained while stretching his limbs.

"Sorry. But someone's going down the mountain, heading straight to Arendelle."

"It must be him," Carlos said, fully awake after a drink of water.

"Let's catch him this time. So here's the plan," she said and the four of them huddled up.

---

Hedith took a path through a blind spot in the mountain that will lead her directly ahead of the figure. Meanwhile, Carlos follows closely behind the target, while Dude accompanies him.

After dropping Hedith on the exact spot, Mavros made his way to his own post. All of them set for the capture of the soul snatcher.

"Good morning," Hedith greeted, revealing herself to the figure. He visibly stiffens and stopped on his tracks, "I don't have a warrant for arrest, but I'm not exactly a cop to need that."

"Daughter of Hades," it is truly a man behind the hood, "The King will walk the earth again after two more souls. You can't stop me."

"So you have gotten yourself another one," she muttered, glaring angrily at the man under the hood.

"And a disappointment on your behalf."

"May I ask of who this King of yours is? Is it Scar? Seeing that you have a beast's tooth with you, it must be someone with an animalistic charm," the man laughed at her allegations and took out the said tooth.

Hedith's eyes widened for she had expected a tooth, not a horn, like what the woman had said.

"People should really do a double check on things," he said and another hooded figure appears behind a rock, holding Carlos.

"Carlos!"

"What will you choose, Daughter of Hades? The boy? Or us?" The first hooded figure baited. Hedith should've thought this through. She did not expected to have two people working on the snatching. And she had brought Carlos into the mess.

"Don't think twice, Hedith!" Carlos yelled, trying to break free of his restrainer's grasps, "Don't mind me!"

"Oh spare me your stupid cliches!" Hedith yelled catching Carlos off guard.

The first man chuckled, "How stingy of you, Your Highness."

"I'm afraid I cannot just choose either one," she said ti the figure. Her eyes started glowing green and her hair went aflame with her father's color, "I have once gathered wisdom if you are in the dilemma,  use your wits to solve both."

"Clever answer," the man said and raised his hand with the knife with a rube on it, "But not clever enough."

The man threw a blade her way and Hedith easily dodged by ducking.

"Riches of Earth, obey your master. Make this man unable a clatter!"

The ground under the man started moving and next thing he knows, he was almost trapped in a bunch of rocks if he had not move faster. He threw a few knives at her. Hedith wasn't able to dodge all of them and had one scrape her around the forearm.

"Hedith!"

"I'm fine!" Hedith assured, trying to calm Carlos. He looked to be shaken from being captured. She is now burdened of the responsibility of saving him, "Try escaping."

The hooded men laughed at her words, "How did you think you two can escape? You won't make it out alive."

"We have to or else we'll be all you need for the ritual," she said, cleverly and shoots her fire towards the man, using it as a diversion to get near.

While the man is temporarily blinded by the wall of fire, Hedith swung a punch towards him and landed it square in his face. His hood fell off and it revealed his face. A crooked deformed face from which almost looked like a skull.

"You're bewitched..." Hedith concluded in shock.

"Yes," it was then that Hedith realized the shake in the man's voice. The other hooded man removed his hood and revealed a similar condition.

Upon seeing this, Carlos visibly cringed.

"My name is Landon. Our faces have been bewitched by your mother, Maleficent, for a simple trespassing in her so-called territory. When all hope is lost, the Horn King extended his help as long as we resurrect him."

"The Horn King? He's evil to the core! Even Maleficent had sworn a vow of silence. If you have finally resurrected the Horn King, what else do you expect him to do without an assurance that he won't try to do malevolent things again?" Hedith tried to persuade the Landon.

"Maleficent had done this to us!"

"Because you have violated her territory!"

"You're claim to do good but defend your mother?" Landon yelled in pure anger, glaring hard at Hedith.

Hedith was silent at his claim. Carlos noticed her tensed posture as if Landon's words made her think twice. He glanced up at the person restraining him and looked around for any possibility of escape.

"Hey, I need to pee."

"Pee on your pants," his captor said for the first time.

"I don't have spares. Come on, man. Don't make me pee in front of a girl," he said but the man's grab around his wrists tightens.

"No."

Carlos sighed, "You asked for it. Dude!"

"Hands off my human, you skull freak!" Dude ran towards his captor and bit his leg. With a painful scream, he let go of Carlos.

He took the chance to break free and take down the man. Hedith shot flames into Landon's face, catching him off guard. He stumbled backwards and by the time he met the ground, his entire body up to his neck were encapsulated in ice. A set of barking came into the distance and the pair of heroes sighed in relief.

"We're here!" Elsa said, sliding on her ice. Kristoff and Anna came in Kristoff's sled as Mavros ran towards Hedith, licking her tired figure.

"Thanks," Hedith breathed out.

Kristoff apprehended the men as Elsa ices them as restraints. Anna went to Hedith to ask if she's okay. She nodded and Anna hugged her.

"Thank you for your hard work," Anna said with a serene smile. Hedith returned it crookedly.

"No biggie. It's my birthright anyway," she said and stood up. She turned to Carlos who is rubbing Dude's fur and giving him a lot of compliments for saving him earlier. Hedith smiled, knowing that he's safe.

"What's going to happened to them?" Elsa approached them, watching as Kristoff load them in the back of his sled.

"I'm going to bring the stolen souls to my dad's and Ben will have them stand trial for their crime," she answered and mounted Mavros.

---

Hedith was packing her things to leave Arendelle in the next day. Anna and Kristoff's wedding would be tomorrow, but in contrast to her words to Olaff, she won't be able to attend.

Hermes and his followers were quick to take the two suspects of the soul snatching. With him is a letter from his father saying that he will be in Auradon in a week and a half for the trial. There was no hint in his letter that says he knows that it was Maleficent's doing that rooted their clandestine.

It would be a very awkward family reunion, indeed.

A knock is heard from the door and Hedith puts her bags down before answering it. Outside stood Carlos, clean after the camping trip and encounter. He smiled once the door swung open.

"Hey!"

"Hey?"

"So are you ready?" Carlos asked and Hedith's eyebrow raised in confusion. He took note that she is not informed, "The soon-to-be wed had invited you tomorrow. And knowing you, you wouldn't have a dress for the occasion."

"Well, you're quick on your feet," she chuckled at his enthusiasm.

"I, of course, would be helping you on that problem," he said and offered a hand, "Shall we?"

"Normally, I go to Evie for fashion advise? Not you, dog boy," she said, crossing her arms over her chest.

Carlos smiled smugly at this, "I've been friends with Evie since I was a kid. I picked up a trick or two about fashion."

"I'll be the judge for that," she said and grabbed Carlos hand, leading him away from the guest room. They passed through Olaff to which Carlos greeted and the jolly snowman greeted back with a smile and wave.

Once they left the castle grounds, Carlos was conscious about the warmth of Hedith's hand leaving his. There was a moment where he contemplated to grabbing hers again, but moved against it.

"So where now?"

"Kristoff knew all the shops that Anna goes to when shopping. And he showed them to me," he said and led Hedith around Arendelle.

They first went to an emporium where they sell many wonderful Arendellan dresses and suits. Hedith have to give credits to the designers. They could truly rival Evie's. Not that she fully believed that. Evie's still the Queen of Fashion.

One specific dress caught her eyes and she quickly pulled it off the rack. Her glee upon seeing it made Carlos laugh.

"What's so funny?"

"When we were kids, I never knew that you're the kind who would be into fashion," he grinned and Hedith glared at him. It's a mystery to him how Hedith can change her expression so fast in a blink of an eye.

"I am into sewing. It was only through Evie's influence that I started liking fashionable outfits," she defended herself, flicking her head to the other side.

"I do remember that one fitting session you have years ago."

Hedith blushed, remembering the embarrassing memory, "Oh dear gods! Shut up!"

With that, she stormed off to the dressing room as Carlos waits outside. It was a good idea that he left Dude with Kristoff and Sven. If he were here, he would be talking his mind off and it would make Hedith extra moody.

Though, he had to admit that her temper tantrums are cute now that he think of it.

"Hey, are you done?" Carlos asked.

"Yeah and I'm taking it."

"Wait, it still needs my approval," he said, frowning.

"Why would it need your approval?" She asked through the door.

"I'm your fashion mediator today, remember?" He grinned, "and I would want to see what my date would look like in the dress she will wear."

"Y-Your date?" Hedith asked in shock, "You haven't even ask me! That's rude to assume."

"I was gonna when I see what you have in mind to wear," Carlos said, still feeling smug at his little surprise. Hedith was quiet for a moment inside the fitting room and he started to get worried.

"Hedith? Are you—"

"Just wait for tomorrow."

With that, Carlos smiled and nodded even though he knows that Hedith can't see it. She came out of the fitting room in her original outfit with the dress in hand. Her face void of any expression. There was a silent agreement between the two and the date was not brought up again for the rest of the day.
