She stole a few unwanted fabrics that is lying around some wire and made herself a simple disguise. With that, Facilier won't be able to notice her infiltrating his precious little business. If he ever did, she'll just use her back-up plan. Telling him that she wants to meet her precious best friend, Celia.
Eek! She thought. Thinking about being acquainted with that little purple noodle-head makes her want to throw up all her meal from the past three days. But a little sacrifice have to be done for her special needs.
So, into the arcade she went. In there, she saw the four VKs looking around the arcade. Jay and Carlos tried out pooling, Evie and Mal looked around the other games as Celia reunites with her father.
Smirking to herself, Hedith decided to have fun herself. Casually strolling towards the pool machine, she took a ring from a sleeping man in the side of a throwing game before kicking him, harshly to wake him up.
The man jolted awake and looked around, glaring at whoever kicked him, but saw no one. Hedith chuckled lightly as she make her way towards Jay and with a fast maneuvering of her hand, she slipped the ring into Jay's pocket, making sure it sticks out just right.
While doing so, she was foolishly not paying attention to where she have been going and bumped into Carlos who's in front of her. She tumbled backwards, but Carlos caught her just before falling off. Her disguise, however, didn't survived with her and fell off her small body.
Hedith's eyes widened in shock and fear of getting caught. Wait, fear? Does a goddess ever feel the emotion of fear? No! She's not scared. She's just...taken off guard, that's why it shocked her.
"Hedith?" Carlos asked, shock as well, seeing the younger Villain Kid. Shocked, because in the past, whenever they crossed paths with the blue haired fourteen-year-old, she ends up playing nasty tricks on them and it's no different right now. The tricks are nastier than they could ever thought of.
"Hey, you! Thief!" The man yelled, pointing accusingly at Jay. The son of Jafar is bewildered and confused and then noticed something falls off his pocket. He saw it's a ring. But he hadn't stolen anything for the past months. How did...
"Hedith!" Both boys scolded but the girl just chuckled and spun around, jerking her arms away from Carlos. Shrugging her shoulders, she flashed a smile.
"Sorry, boys but glad to see you again. Now, duty calls for me somewhere else," she said and walked off, "Ta ta!"
"Hedith!" Growling, she slightly turned around to see Mal looking at her, shock yet...somehow sad.
"Hi, Mal."
With that, she seemingly exited the arcade, leaving Jay with the angry man who's looking for his ring.
Truthfully, she went to a secret space in between the walls in the arcade and spied on the five of them. Jay managed to explain the misunderstanding and gave back the man's ring. She rolled her eyes, thinking that's a very pathetic move that the once greatest thief of the isle had done.
Evie approached Mal and isolated her from the others, talking with her in private. Fortunately, they're in earshot for Hedith.
"She's still in the Isle, Evie. I want to make it up to her. After all those years, I..." She sighed, sadly. This made Hedith curious. What is she talking about?
"M, I know you're worried and I am, too. Despite all those tricks she pulled at us, Hedith has a chance to redeem herself. Give her the chance she needs. The chance you want her to take," Evie told her best friend, clutching her shoulders.
Hedith gaped at them. They're talking about her. And they were thinking of giving her a chance. A chance to what exactly?
"You're right. After all of this, I'll try talk to her," with that, the blue haired VK smiled and they went back to Carlos and Jay who called out for them to watch the television.
Hedith felt giddy and unsure with what she just heard and she isn't happy about it. So she just decided to end this little trick and go back home. She went to a shortcut to their underground lair and when she was about to open the gates, she can't help but think about what Mal and Evie said.
She's a villain. A villain kid. A goddess and heiress to her father's kingdom, the Underworld. That's what she has been dreaming since she was a kid. Since Hades told her the stories of his good old days. She wanted to feel the power she know she possess but there are many obstacle along the way. But if she is to get a chance, she'd choose to cross that barrier. But will it be okay to accept the help from Mal? Someone she despised so much?
"Stupid Mal," she muttered and entered the cave and locking it from the inside. Without using the transportation cycle of the cave, she casually stroll into its deeper ends until she end up to what they call as their living room.
There she saw her dad getting ready for his naptime.
She silently giggled at how childish it sound, but crept behind her father nonetheless. She then jumped at his back, earning a grunt from him. Hedith giggled and stayed on his back for a few seconds before plopping down on the couch.
"Wittle god missed his bedtime?" She laughed, saying as Hades chuckled and ruffled his blue hair.
"Very funny, Hedith. But you," he pointed at her and pulled her off the couch and took her place. He gets comfortable and sighed in relief, "are not getting the couch today."
"Hehe. But someday," she swore earning a light chuckle from her father.
"Yeah, you hold unto that," he slip up his shades and lay comfortably on the couch without worries, falling into deep slumber. Rolling her eyes, Hedith got the plaque record of Cerberus' barks playing. One thing that guards and scares the unwanted guests out while she and her dad are away or asleep.
She then frowned as she went to her room which was like the next room. She closed the door behind her and sat on her bed, hugging her knees against her knees.
She didn't bother telling her dad that Mal is back in the Isle for some unknown reason. Come to think of it, she didn't even bother finding out why there are here. What it is they came here for.
The plaque record had suddenly stopped which made Hedith open her eyes which she didn't realized were closed. Alerted by this, she quickly ran out of her room only to see Celia by her door, looking quite horrified. The blue haired girl's eyes widened realizing why. In the living room, Hades caught Mal's hand and she looked like she had made a mistake which she did.
"Urgh, of course. She's here for dad's powerful ember. Figures," Hedith said, rolling her eyes. Celia turned to her and smiled slightly.
"Hedith," she nervously laughed and stepped away, "How are you?"
"Better of you guys get out of here."
"Hi, dad," Hedith almost coughed hearing Mal say that and snapped her eyes towards her. She also took notice of Celia's surprised expression. Mal also turned to Hedith and flashed her a weak smile, "Hi, Hedith."
Raising an eyebrow, Hedith looked at their father who shrugged, "We're not kicking them out?"
"Show some hospitability, pomegrate. She's friend," Hades pointed at Celia who whimpered, "And she's family."
This time, Hades pointed at Mal.
"Seriously?" Mal frowned at her reaction but didn't say anything further, "So what's the catch, Mal? You're here for something."
"In fact, I am," Mal said, deciding to focus on saving Auradon, "I came here because you have something that I need!"
Hades scoffed and walked over to his mirror slash television.
Hedith rolled her eyes as she watch Hades and Mal argue. This underground lair has always been so quiet and now Mal is here. For the first time in fourteen years, Hedith wanted to keep the Cerberus plaque rolling.
Even more now they started singing.
"I did what I have to do! "
"Oooh ohh!"
Hedith glared at Celia who sang along. Celia moved away from the youngest daughter of Hades who growled.
But Judith decided to join in the little musical number.
"You think that you are right!" she sang along, picking up the same tune that they've been throwing at each other.
"I didn't come to fight!" Mal raised both hands, tone being softer than when she speaks with Hades.
"I've always been glad dad had left you!" Hedith smirked, as her words made Mal pause for a sec.
And so the song continued with Hades using the candle holder as a mic. After his part, he gave a side glance towards Hedith, widening his eyes at her. Hedith growled and raised her hands indifferently.
Celia came out again and Hedith raised a fist towards her which only made her hide even more.
Hades offered a little get together but Mal declined. After that, Hades said for Mal to get over the fact that their parents split and they have to grow up in two different side. Hedith laughed out loud at how bratty Mal sounded when she said she did.
"That's suppose to be the Queen of Auradon?" She rolled her eyes, "Don't make me laugh."
Not bothering to watch any further, Hedith just left and wait for whatever conclusion would take place after.
