Sherry POV

Everything was great with Taj now. She was not thinking about slipping up with Donte again. Once, twice was enough. She was with the guy she needed to be with and she focused all her time on him.

"Let's do something together for Spring Break," Taj said to her while they lay in bed. Ever since their first time, she could not get enough of Taj. Sex with him was different than with Donte, it was exciting and great and electrifying and if she had to rate, he was way better than Donte

"Hmmm...like what?"

He snuggled against her neck, kissing it. He was always so affectionate, always kissing her, holding her and wanting to be near her. Some girls might think it was smothering, but she liked it. "I don't know. It's your last Spring Break of college, we have to make it memorable. Somewhere sunny. A beach. Florida maybe."

"I have been to Miami and South Beach several times, not my thing." Never with a guy. Once with her family, and then once with Kaori and Rosaline during their freshman year of college for Spring Break.

She did not miss her friends. She spoke to them still, but they would never be as close as they were. Good thing she still had other friends from high school, college, and of course her sorority sisters. In time, she could make new friends that would not talk about her behind her back.

"I want to see you in a bathing suit, laying in the sand, sun in your face." He traced a finger down her nose and to her lips. "You're so damn sexy! If we go somewhere private, maybe we can have sex on the beach."

She giggled at him. "Boy!"

"Or on a cruise. That's romantic."

"You act as if I have money for all that."

"Sher Bear, I will sell all my blood to afford to take you anywhere you want to go." He held her in his arms. "Name it baby, I want to take you there for a week."

Why was he so amazing? "I have some money saved up, I can pay for my own vacation."

"But you don't have to if your man wants to take care of you," he said, kissing her neck. "Have you been to L.A? San Diego maybe? Or we can go down to Mexico."

"D.C., I haven't been to D.C. yet."

"They have a beach in D.C?"

"I think in Maryland, yes."

"Then D.C. we go!" His hand crept up her thigh, caressing it. "I get to have you all to myself for a week."

How lucky was she?

Spring Break was a few weeks away, so they had plenty of time to plan. She found a great hotel, plane tickets, and some sites to see. She had never been on a vacation with a guy, this would be her first. She was glad she was doing this with Taj.

Everything was looking great until she ran into HER on campus.

She had not seen that little tramp that destroyed her world since she stormed to her residence hall and almost beat her down. But here she was chilling in the library near the study room she always reserved. It was not a coincidence she was here, she probably stalked her. Her curly hair, which she had never worn down, was out and down her back, and any other day she would compliment her on how pretty her hair was, but there would never be a day she would.

Even the clothes she wore were different than before. A fitted sweater dress and knee-length boots. She never wore fitted clothes, just loose things, hiding her slim figure. The girl was pretty, she was not going to lie, but her hatred for her made her the ugliest person she knew.

She ignored her and headed for the study room, but Essence walked up to her as she was trying to enter the study room.

"Sherry!"

She did not have time for this today. She ignored her and went into the study room. She had a tutoring student coming soon, this little girl better leave her alone.

Essence continued into the room with her. "Sherry, I see you don't want to be a woman and face me."

This bitch had the real nerve. Let her step to her off-campus, without her letters on, she was taking it straight hood on her and she was not even from the hood. She had two brothers and had been in plenty of fights. She wanted to grab her by the hair and yank it while she punched her in the face.

She didn't even look up as she pulled her laptop out of her bag. "I have nothing to say to you. Bye!"

"It's not your fault Donte was just with you for clout, but he loves me."

Did this little girl say what? How bold of her. She felt the back of her neck get hot and her eye twitch, she wanted to hurt this girl so bad.

"I don't give a fuck what you think-"

"Stop fucking Donte!"

How did she know? Never mind, it didn't matter how she knew.

She looked up at her and stared her square in the eyes. "Girl, get the hell out of here, I don't want that boy."

"So you've not been up in his place, up in his bed, fucking recently? You're that desperate you're going to keep going after my man after how he treated you. And wait...I thought you had a new man?"

She was so done with this girl. She took a step closer so she was in her face. She had several inches over her, and at least fifty pounds, she could hurt the girl if she wanted.

"I fucked him." She could care less what Essence thought of her. In fact, served her right. "Turns out, the grass is greener on the other side. You can have his lying, cheating ass. He said he was done with you anyway, and the fact that you're calling him your man, girl bye! Bitch, you were the chick on the side, hidden away. I was the one he flaunted on his arm. You tried to get into my sorority to be half the woman I am."

She had so much more to say to her, but she was going to reel it in.

"Take him, keep him away from me, but if I need a lousy lay, I'll swing by and fuck him again, and what are you going to do about that?"

She could tell Essence was afraid, but not enough to back away. "So you are a hoe."

"A hoe calling me a hoe, now that's funny. Bye girl, and next time you step to me, I won't be so nice."

Essence glared her down as if she was going to do something, but she stood her ground and stared her back down. Essence bumped the table on the way out, with a huff. Like that was going to make her scared or something.

She went back to her work till her student came in so she could tutor. But that encounter had her feeling some kind of way. She was done with Donte, for real this time. He lied and said he was not sleeping with Essence anymore. Why did she even believe him? That was on her.

Never again.

Men did it all the time, cheat and get away with it. She did not feel bad about what she did with Donte. It was break-up sex, just to get it out of her system, now she was over it. Now she could move forward with Taj. Planning their Spring Break vacation was perfect timing.

A/N: I have no words for Sherry. Just because she was cheated on by Donte did not mean she needed to cheat on Taj. It's like she expected him to cheat on her so she cheated first. Well, payback...
