33. Supersonic Has No Chill

Jill POV

"YOU'RE COMING TO SEE ME?"

Maybe she was a little too excited that Mac said he was driving to Normal to see her. On a weekday no less, because he had another game on the weekend.

"If that's okay and you're not busy or anything."

She would make the time. If she had something scheduled, she would change it. She had not seen him since Homecoming weekend and that was weeks ago. Anything could have happened at that time. Maybe he did not find her attractive anymore. Forget what everyone said, attraction was everything, they needed to find each other hot.

What if he was not so hot? Surely that would not be the case. The man was gorgeous! Not a thing could change that unless he grew two heads, and even then that extra head would be gorgeous.

It was Wednesday and she lucked up and did not have a session with the pledges, and also, Sherry was staying with Donte, so she had the house to herself.

She wanted to make the place romantic. She cleaned the place from top to bottom, even the kitchen that he probably would not go into while he was over. The bathroom smelled lemony fresh, the floors swept and mopped, everything dusted and deodorized. Febreeze was a lifesaver.

She should light some candles, but maybe that would be too much. Too sexy for his first time visiting her.

After everything was cleaned, she looked down at herself. She smelled and looked like death! She concentrated so much on getting the place right, she barely had time for herself. He would be there any minute.

She quickly hopped in the shower, washed thoroughly, and shaved everything. She may get lucky tonight, she had to be ready. Was she ready? To go all the way with a boy?

No, of course, she was not. Not with Mac, not yet anyway. Better get to know him first.

She laid her baby hair, slicked her bob after she flat ironed it, added lashes that weren't too much, because she had them in all sizes, then topped her face with a simple sheer gloss. Melanin popping, and nothing else needed. She threw on a fitted black and white jogger set and her favorite black and white Nike. She was cute, without being over the top. Maybe next time she would go for a more sexy look.

She made sure she smelled good, but not an overpowering smell.

Oh, and the breath. Teeth brushed, flossed, and gargled.

Now she waited. She sat in the living room, television on, pretending to watch whatever was on, but she nervously anticipated his arrival. He should be there by now. Maybe he was lost. The campus was large, and lots of one-way streets. The MAX house was technically on campus, but down on Greek Row at the edge of the southside of campus.

She looked out the window, front and back. She checked her phone for missed calls or texts. Nothing, so she continued to wait.

Maybe he changed his mind.

Of course he did. Her luck, the guy she liked most would run away from her before they even had a chance to-

The doorbell rang. She jumped up excitedly.

She was about to run to the door, but she calmed herself down. Maybe she did not want to go full-on Supersonic on him. Just give him Jill today.

She opened the door and he stood there looking like a snack. Gorgeous dark skin, with a gleaming white smile, low fade crisp like he got a haircut yesterday, and diamond studs in each ear. Dressed in hot boy clothes, she could tell he cared about what he looked like.

"He-ey!"

"Hey Jill," he said, then hugged her. He smelled good too. "I'm sorry, is it cool?"

"A hug? Sure." And she wanted so much more. She already decided, if he wanted to go all the way, she would.

He came in and she leads him over to the sofa.

"You want anything? To eat? To drink?"

"No, I'm good."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, come on and sit with me."

Mac was smooth. She liked his style already. Real low-key, like nothing got on his nerves, he would always be calm. Opposite of her for sure.

"You want to watch something on TV?" She sat beside him, grabbing the remote.

"Now I came all the way here to see you, no I don't want to watch TV. I can go do that back in Edwardsville."

"You live at home or stay in a dorm?" Better to get the conversation going.

"I have to stay on campus, you know since I'm on scholarship for football. It would have been cool either way with me, I have my parents not far, I can come home any time I want."

"And Edwardsville is not far from St. Louis, so you can come to see me during break." Did she just say that? Why would she assume the boy wanted to see her?

"Making plans already," he said, taking her hand. "I like it. I feel like I know you already Jill, and really I don't."

"Why do you feel that way?"

"Because...I spent all of last year watching you in a distance, too afraid to approach. I mean, after you crossed over, I knew you were going to be hard to approach. MAX ladies do not play."

Why does he think that? She knew there were Mu Alpha Chi's at SIU-E, so maybe they had a reputation there. The reputation of being serious about their business, not unapproachable by boys.

"I'm still the same ole girl. I had friends before that thought I changed, but whatever. They weren't my friends if they thought that." Already she was relaxed with him. Just as he had a crush on her, she had a crush on him since the moment she saw him. Maybe if they attended the same school things would have gone faster, and they would be a happy couple like her soror and Dante.

"I listened to your radio show."

"What do you think about it? You like it? Am I too much?" She almost was afraid to hear his answer.

"I like your energy, and you give it your all. That's how I feel like I know you, knew you were cool."

She inwardly groaned at all the thirsty man-hunting statements she made on her show. Probably came off as desperate to him, that's why he had the nerve to say something now. But maybe it was a good thing.

"Since you think you know me so well, tell me something about yourself."

"Okay, I'm an only child..."

"Me too!"

"I'm twenty..."

"Boy, me too!" She laughed. "Okay, I'll stop."

"You know I'm an Epsilon Upsilon. Love it. My father does not like it as much, he's a Sigma."

A Sigma legacy that did not pledge Sigma, interesting. "Oooo! Did you get in a lot of trouble? Good thing my mother isn't in a sorority."

"He wasn't mad, he hadn't been active in his Alumnae Chapter for years, and when I saw what the EU's were about, I just thought it would be a better fit for me."

"It's tough not being part of the Divine Nine. We get respect on our campus, but worldwide, people don't know who we are because we're so small." She shrugged because she knew she made the right choice. "Love all my fellow Greeks. I think you find the one that is right for you be it Divine Nine, Interfraternity Council, honor sorority, band fraternity, small little newbie orgs, whatever. They've changed the way we go to college in the last ten years, might as well add more fraternities and sororities that for everyone."

"What's the saying...the letters don't make you, you make the letters."

"Boy! Are you quoting Stomp The Yard?"

He grinned. "Something like that."

"Ooo, let's watch that!"

She found the movie, made popcorn, and grabbed them drinks and they cuddled on the couch and talked more and watched. She scooted closer to him cuddling, happy in his arms, feeling his warmth. He had not made a move yet and she was beginning to worry.

Why was she waiting on him to make the first move?

She leaned in and started to kiss him. A simple peck on the lips, but he smiled and went in for more.

"I like you, Jill," he said when he was done kissing her.

"I like you too."

"I want us to take things slow, get to know each other, okay."

"Sure, me too." She wanted to take him to her bedroom, but if slow was how he wanted to go, she had no choice.

"And I can't stay late, I have to drive back to Edwardsville," he said, giving her another kiss. "I like spending time with you."

She wanted him to stay all night, but she couldn't press the issue. It was the middle of the week after all, and he said to take things slow.

"Okay, we'll just finish the rest of the movie...and make out."

Something she had not even done in high school. The only thing she ever did was kiss a few boys here or there, no full-on make-out session. Now she saw why girls walked around with hickeys on their necks.

"Mac, do you want to have sex with me?" she blurted out while they were hot and heavy, his hand up her shirt, and her hand doing the same.

He pulled away from her. "Jill, I just said I wanted to take things slow."

"I'm sorry," she looked down at her hands. "I don't know what I'm doing. This is all new to me. Being alone with a boy, touching and kissing."

"What? You've never had a boyfriend?"

She shook her head.

"You've not done...anything?"

"You're asking if I'm a virgin, and yes, I am. No big deal. I'm not saving myself or anything, just never been in a position to have sex yet. I want to but uh-"

"Hold up, wait!" Mac stood up. "Jill, you need to think about this first. I don't want to take advantage of you. I like you, I do, but we don't know each other like that."

"Okay, but once you get to know me, then we'll have sex?"

"Maybe, I don't know." He sat back down. "Let's just see how things go. We hang out and see. You may not like me after a few weeks."

"I doubt that!" She grabbed him and kissed him as he laughed. "You're going to be my first."

"I would be honored, but...let's wait, okay."

She waited all these years, no problem waiting a bit longer.

A/N: Ok, who will be first to give up the V-Card? Jill or Lark?
