Rescued by an Ethical Vampire
They all watch from windows as I ran that dark cloud down
You were nothing but trouble, baby
And I've been sifting through the rubble lately
I should've listened to the, I should've listened to the
(Ooooooooh)
Wanted to dance in the eye of danger
Knowing good well I'd regret it later
I should've listened to the, I should've listened to the
(Ooooooooh)
The warning lights were flashing like lightning
I should've listened to the, I should've listened to the sirens
Well, I let you crumble every wall
With your hail as hard as a cannonball
'Cause I like the risk that's in your reckless touch
And I've always had a weakness for
A terrible and twisted storm
'Cause your kiss is an adrenaline rush
~Kelsea Ballerini, Sirens
It is nighttime, and it seems to happen quite suddenly.
One minute, AcharaIris is on the ground of the alley and being kicked around physically and verbally by the male bully trio; they call her a freak and weirdo for believing in magic and the preternatural, and being different from them.
But then, the next minute the bully leader is yanked away from his other two now shocked fellow bullies and pushed up against the wall; he does a double take and blinks in surprise when he sees the glowing dark eyes of none other than Yami Bakura himself.
"Who are you to dare shove me up against the — Yami Bakura?" he says. But that's all he can ask right before Yami Bakura slams his head against the alley wall. The slam causes the bully's two friends to wince a little.
"Enough of that, you foolish mortal," Yami Bakura snaps at the bully leader; the other two then exchange puzzled expressions.
"'Mortal'?" they ask each other.
Yami Bakura then turns to them and says, "That also goes for the both of you as well, mortals."
When he catches AcharaIris's gaze while she's on the ground, he winks a little as his way of reassuring her she had nothing to worry about.
"You called us 'mortals'?" said the bully's first friend.
"It's like you're not even human yourself," said the second friend.
Yami Bakura then bares his fangs in a hiss, and the shocked bullies jump back as the realization of what he is crosses their minds; however, they don't have time to take off. He leaps upon them and drains them of their blood before turning to their leader, who's stunned at what happened to his friends (while also having realized what happens when a bully makes a mistake of tangling with a vampire — and an ethical vampire at that). Before the bully leader can think of anything to say or do, Yami Bakura hauls him to his feet before draining him of his blood just as he did with the bully's friends.
Before AcharaIris knows it, the male bully trio is dead, their bodies having been drained of their blood and sent to the Shadow Realm.
Yami Bakura bends to her level and gallantly offers her a hand, which she accepts, and he gently pulls her to her feet. Although his sharp, white fangs are bloodstained, she doesn't seem to mind a bit; in fact, she finds it kind of neat — or rather, hot.
"Don't worry about it, love," he purrs into her ear. "I think your being different and choosing to believe in magic and the preternatural is a good thing. After all, you chose to be different, and I appreciate that a lot."
AcharaIris smiles.
"Thanks, Yami Bakura."
He then offers her his arm, and she accepts it. With that, they turn and head out of the alley.

Seemingly hours later, AcharaIris is in Yami Bakura's bed, her eyes closed and a smile crossing her face; her mouth opens, exposing the budding canines — a confirmation of the deadly but lovely creature Yami Bakura sired her as.
Yami Bakura, for his part, smiles as he strokes her shoulder. There's one thing he knows: with her by his side, he can hunt and take down the human criminals, and he knows she can take to being an ethical vampire like a duck to water.
