SPECIAL CHAPTERS - 1. BACK TO THE PAST.
An eerie silence covered the building called Grimmauld Place, the kids were up in their rooms it was about 12:30 am, Sirius Black was secretly planning to run away to his best friend's house for the summer and Sirene Black slept on her bed oblivious to the situation. Regulus Black was up writing in his diary, he was troubled as he'd come across Sirius's plan and was torn between the choices of telling his mother or protecting his brother.
Walburga Black sat in front of the fireplace staring the at the flames hungrily swallowing the wood pieces, she slowly traced the dark mark on her left arm with a dazed expression.
The Blacks weren't one to show extreme affection, or showcase their family unless it's on party occasions but there has always been one picture that was left on the fireplace mantle.
It was all three of the kids playing together, Sirene was pulling on Sirius's hair as he pulled on Regulus's making him cry. She still remembered the day she saw them for the first time very well, it was almost like she went back in time just to experience it.
"Would you like to hold them, Mrs. Black?" The healer said, carrying two babies in her arms, "It's advised to hold the babies so you can gain their trust, and they can feel a connection with you"
Walburga Black looked at the two babies in front of her, one was wrapped in a blue blanket and the other in pink, they were identical, of course, but Walburga could tell the difference, she could look at the babies and say that the boy had a freckle on his nose and the girl right by the side of her face. She knew them.
"Yes, I would" Walburga said, holding out her hands where the healer put the two babies down, "Hello, darlings, I'm your mother" Walburga said to the kids, her eyes glistening with tears as she stared at the two children in front of them. They were her kids. She was their mother. What did she do to deserve such joy?
"Do you know what you're going to name them?" The healer asked Walburga who stared at the babies for a moment.
"Sirius and Sirene"
The sound of a cup being placed on the table broke her from the trace she was put in, she turned to see her husband who'd brought her a cup of tea, she gave him a tight-lipped smile before getting up and walking up to the window.
In the right corner of the window, you could make out some scribbles, baby Sirene's doing after she'd learnt to write her name, of course it was spelled wrong but she believed she was the smartest person in the house at that time.
"Hey, darlings" Walburga said, getting inside the house and putting down her cloak to pick up the two kids that sat on the floor drawing, "Mother's home"
"Mama" Sirius said with spit coming out of his mouth as he hugged his mother with his tiny hands.
Walburga immediately relaxed, balancing the kids on her hips as she went to check up on Regulus who was still sleeping and being watched by Kreacher, she gave him a nod, he understood that his job was over and apparated back to the kitchen.
She put the twins down, who were looking less and less indentical everyday and gave a milk bottle to Regulus, who sucked on it in his sleep, forgetting to do it every once in a while until Walburga would shake the bottle a bit.
"Mommy" Little Sirene tugged at Walburga's dress, holding out her chubby hand as if she was motioning for Walburga to follow her, "Come"
Walburga gave Regulus one last glance before following Sirene back into the living room, where a lot of paper was laying around considering the twins were drawing just a bit before.
"What is that?" Walburga said gasping at the drawing in her daughter's hand, she drew Sirene closer, tickling her stomach a bit, "Is that Mommy?"
"Yes" Sirene nodded, pointing to the identical stick figure next to what Walburga assumed was Sirene, "Siri, and baby"
"You, my love" Walburga said, picking up Sirene in her arms and booping her nose, "Are going to be a great artist someday"
"Mama" Sirius said with a pout, holding out his arms and motioning for Walburga to pick him up too, Walburga chuckled but did that nonetheless.
"It's awfully quiet today, isn't it?" Orion said from where he sat to Walburga who shrugged.
"It is half past midnight, Orion" She said, walking around the house a bit, taking sips of the coffee in her hand every once in a while.
She traced the wallpaper with the tip of her fingers as she felt every memory she'd had in this house.
"Mommy, I can't do it" Sirene said angrily shutting the book and then throwing it on the ground, "It's stupid anyway"
"Sirene, look at me" Walburga said as she stared at a five year old Sirene glaring daggers at the story book she'd picked up to read, "Look at mommy, love"
Sirene turned to look at Walburga with a pout on her face, Walburga simply kissed her daughter turning the pout into a toothy smile.
"What do we do when we feel angry?" Walburga asked, picking Sirene up and putting her on her lap, playing with the little pigtails on her head.
"We take deep breaths and name the colors of the rainbow" Sirene muttered playing with her mother's fingers looking down at the floor.
"Do that for me, will you?" Walburga asked placing a kiss on Sirene's head as she nodded.
"Mama, Reggie is crying again" Sirius said stomping in with an annoyed expression on his face.
"Uh oh, Sirius" Walburga said frowning, "Did you tease your brother again?"
"I only pulled his hair" Sirius said innocently staring up at Walburga with his eyes wide, "It looked so springy"
Walburga smiled to herself as she reached the dining room. She sat down, and started tracing her dark mark again, only this time she did it with a heavy heart. Oh, how she would kill to go back to those days, when they were just kids, running around the house, when they didn't know what kind of humans their parents were, when they were innocent.
MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU FILTHY ANIMALS !!!!!
