The next day couldn't arrive any faster. Taehyung was so excited for his swim with Jungkook that he basically shoved his breakfast in his mouth and left the house as soon as he was ready. He parked his car on two parking spots out of his excitement and didn't bother to move it. no one parked her anyway.

happily he ran down the stairs and already called out for the siren.

"Jungkook, I'm back!" he said and pushed his stuff in the hole before approaching the sea. Taehyung smiled wide when the Siren appeared in the water, he took off his shirt and ran into the sea swimming towards the man who's black hair stuck to his face, but it didn't scare him anymore. He finally knew more about him and he didn't feel afraid. Even if he was a dangerous creature they had their own problems just like humans.

"Welcome back" Jungkook smiled and looked at the human. "Are you a fast swimmer?"

"not really" taehyung chuckled and shook his head.

"Then, hold my hand. I will show you something beautiful. Can you hold your breath for a while?"

"Yes, almost for a whole minute!" the human said confidently.

"Just enough," Jungkook smiled and held up his hand to the other. the drops of water falling back into the sea. A warm feeling went through him when Taehyung placed his soft human hand in his. to totally different hands now together. carefully he wrapped his clawed fingers around the warm hand and looked at the other. "shall we go? take a deep breath for me, were going deep"

The human nodded and took a deep breath. Right when he gave the sign Jungkook went underwater and pulled the human with him, his tail moving with strong motions bringing them further and further down in the sea.

Taehyung looked at him, he was so fascinated by Jungkook's movements. He just looked so elegant. He never would have believed it if someone told him that he was going to be friends with a siren. He still barely could believe it.

It didn't take long for Jungkook to stop and turn to him. letting go of his hand to point below them. Taehyung looked down while floating in the water, his eyes widened. Below them was a beautiful reef with coral. if he wasn't underwater he would have gasped.

He swam a bit lower and looked at the colors around him. It was so beautiful down here, he didn't know there was a reef here near the beach. He turned his head and smiled at Jungkook who followed him by circling around him. Sadly taehyung couldn't stay to watch much longer, he was running out of breath and pointed his finger to the top. Jungkook nodded and snaked his arm around Taehyung's waist bringing him back to the surface in just a few seconds.

Immediately Taehyung gasped for air and filled his lungs with new oxygen. He giggled to himself remembering how it felt to have Jungkook's arm around him, it made him feel bubbly inside. He didn't mind feeling it again, it was much better than when he held his hand.

But.. it was a little close if they were just friends... was it not?

"sooo. How was it? It's a reef where I spend a lot of time looking for food. I collect seashells there and eat them. the shells i gift to you"

"It was beautiful! Really, I never knew that there was such a pretty reef here in this water. and so close to the beach too '' Taehyung said looking at the beach that was in the distance. "so, the shells you gave me are from down here?"

"mhm '' Jungkook nodded. "I don't use shells, I thought it would be a nice gift to give you. to show you I meant no harm. but that's difficult because we are known to be deceiving"

"i trust you"

Jungkook fell silent, his eyes looked up at the human. the eyes that remind him of a puppy. Who would have thought that a siren could look cute. But that wasn't it, Jungkooks pale lips formed into a smile and he genuinely looked happy at that moment. "thank you, that means a lot"

Taehyung chuckled and nodded. "I'm glad" then he looked around them. "sooo, what else is there to see here?"

"Do you want to swim some more?"

the human nodded excitedly.

"alright then, i will take you around on a nice swim" Jungkook said and grabbed taehyung's waist again. he smirked seeing the blush that appeared on the human's cheeks and pulled him down as soon he had taken a deep breath. He didn't know where he was going to go. but anywhere was fine, he was just happy to be with taehyung right now. Maybe it wasn't a mistake to save him, maybe it will all be worth it.

Jungkook lost everything because he was unable to kill him, he can't lose this too. He will do anything to protect the human. As long as Jungkook was nearby nothing could hurt him, not even the sea. Jungkook owned this part of the sea. He will know, and he will come for him.

Sea or land, Jungkook will find a way to help the human.

While Jungkook was lost in thoughts, Taehyung was smiling while he was being taken on a swim. He didn't have to do anything, he could just let himself get pulled around. All he had to do was look around, and no matter how interesting the water was, the thing that caught most of his attention was the man that held him. The beyond beautiful Siren that held him safely in his grip. So once he had seen enough of the water the human turned his head to look at the creature. Looking at his sharp features, his jawline had a clear scaled texture that faded to his cheeks until it was only soft skin. skin that lacked all color but his lips had a light tint of a coral color. These details were really attractive to him.

wait.... was he attracted to Jungkook?

Suddenly Taehyung frowned a little and looked at the water ahead of them again. Was he feeling things? no way, jungkook wasn't human, how can he be attracted to him like this? Taehyung now realized all his thoughts, thinking how handsome he was and how many times he had to blush in his presence... oh damn i do...

But then Taehyung started to feel dizzy, the waves of water that made his head move around, the depth and just the lack of breathing normally made his head spin. He tapped Jungkook to get his attention. Once the siren had slowed down and looked at him he pointed up again and also twirling his fingers towards his head. Jungkook got what he meant and nodded, taking them back up, while he did he changed their position. both facing each other as he held him.

And when they got up Jungkook moved on his back letting taehyung lay on top of him keeping the human floating without having to hold him.

Taehyung blushed a dark shade feeling Jungkook's chest under his cheek, he was too nervous to look up. without a doubt the siren was looking down at him. SO he just stayed still, laying on top of the siren as if he was a life board.

"Are you okay?"

"My head is spinning," Taehyung chuckled.

"we can stay like this until you've stopped spinning."

"thank you, you're very kind"

Jungkook didn't reply to that, he just smiled. a hint of disappointment in his smile. disappointment to himself. He was not what Taehyung said he was. jungkook wasn't kind, he wasn't good. he was born evil and he will always be judged as evil. he will never be someone good.All he can do is hope that taehyung will stay on his side. he was trying his best to earn his trust and get closer to him, he would be devastated if taehyung also changed and saw him as evil.

"what will you do today?"

"I don't know yet, i didn't plan anything"

"im hungry"

"you're hungry?" Taehyung chuckled and looked up, his heart skipping a beat when he looked right into the pair of icy eyes.

".....very, we need a lot to eat. We're like whales, "Jungkook said, making a small joke out of it.

"Shall I get you some more fish? the market is still open." Taehyung said looking at the cliff where the beach was hidden in between. small blue tents were seen, the market.

"Can I have tuna this time, a big fat tuna? ugh one that you bit into and can taste the flavor. uh, yes yes, i want tuna" Jungkook said and already imagined a flopping fish in his hands to bite into, first ripping off their head to kill them and then eat them whole. His stomach grumbled at the thought of eating.

"i will get you something to eat then" Taehyung chuckled and slid off Jungkook's body but he still held onto the siren's arm. It felt scary being this far away in the sea. Especially with the shark news. Taehyung doesn't want to get eaten. He felt safer if he held onto Jungkook.

"I will take you to the beach safely, don't worry." Jungkook said and held taehyung's hand swimming with him to the beach, this time above water so the human can have air. Once the human could stand he walked forward and turned around.

"okay, i will be right back, wait here"

Jungkook nodded and lowered himself back in the water, just his eyes peeking above the edge so he could look at the human who dried himself and slipped into his slippers.

Like asked Taehyung bought a tuna this time, he asked for the biggest tune the seller had and held it in his hand. "why do you never take a bag?" The same bearded man asked.

"It's not needed, we have... Barbecue nearby so we use it right away." Taehyung lied. Probably a really bad lie, but what else was supposed to say? His brain could not think of anything so fast.

"uh, alright. enjoy then" the man said puzzled and watched the younger leave.

Lucky for the two the beach was still empty when he returned and Jungkook showed himself when he neared the water.

"That was fast" the siren said and already made grabby hands at the fish. "yummy yummy"

"Are you going to act cute now?"

"Give me, I want to feed on its flesh and tear it to pieces," Jungkook said, changing his words right away. This act made Taehyung laugh and hand him the fish that he immediately began eating. The crack of its bones under his teeth made Taehyung shiver again.

To know that Jungkook ate two men last night.... he probably ate them the same way, cracking their bones between his jaws. tearing their flesh apart to fill his stomach.... He shivered again and shook the thoughts away. He rather not think about it. He rather isn't remembered of Jungkook's predator nature.

"Is it good?" Taehyung asked, a stupid question because he can clearly see how Jungkook was basically inhaling the fish, eating it hungrily.

"Very, thank you," Jungkook said, pausing to talk.

Taehyung smiled and sat down in the water next to the siren accompanying while he ate. He wondered, would people see them when they sat here? from so fat, they probably just saw two boys. But taehyung knew what was actually hiding under the water. Jungkook was far from human and it was nice to know he was the only one who had seen him and lived. it made him feel special.

"have you talked to your friend yet?"

"no... i will visit him today maybe, i really should talk to him.." Taehyung sighed. He doesn't want to have this tension between them, it won't work if they stay annoyed at eachother like this.

"could you.... keep me a secret from anyone else?"

"of course, im sorry"

"its okay" Jungkook licked his fingers clean and smiled. "your friend can know, but no strangers. or I will have to kill them all. and you know, i will not hesitate to do so" jungkook's eyes darkened, he had to get the message through. and it did, the human gulped and nodded.

"y-yes"

"good, because... i am just for you, no one else" Jungkook's voice lowered and he leaned closer. his nails moving over Taehyung's legs,tickling his soft skin. The salty scent of his wet body reached taehyung's nose who felt as if he was melting away, his heart was beating so fast. "you're so cute" the Siren chuckled and pulled his hand back.

"a-ah...'' Taehyung was at a loss for words, he placed a hand over his chest feeling his heartbeat go crazy. "oh fuck... i really am"

"am what?" Jungkook raised a brow and titled his head.

"nothing! uhm, i should go back. my body will get wrinkly if i stay here for much longer"

"oh....okay" the siren looked a little sad about that, but he can't force someone who isn't from the sea to stay in the sea. Just like jungkook cant stay on land taehyung can't stay in the sea. "i will see you later then"

"What will you eat tonight?"

Jungkook shrugged

"I will throw you something tonight."

"I will look forward to it. '' Jungkook grinned and lowered back into the water creepily. But it didn't scare taehyung anymore, he knows jungkook wont hurt him. He knows he doesn't want to scare him. He didn't have to be afraid. So he just smiled and waved at the siren before collecting his stuff and heading to his car where he changed his wet shorts before getting in his car.

 i love writing this story. i always have a hard time with the right pace of the story, sometimes i think im going too slow, and other times im way to fast. lol, i hope its alright so far and you're still enjoying this. im happy to see most still like how the story is progressing!
