It's been a day since they had that breakfast. Today Mr.Kim wasn't there to join them, he had already gone out to take care of business. At least that's what the note on the dining table said.

But he didn't leave the guests unattended. He made sure the chef and butler got the breakfast ready when the two came down and assisted them in their needs.

So Far they haven't requested anything from the butler, so all the man had to do was clean their bedroom with the maids.
It was nice for him to relax a little more. It's not that mr. Kim gave him a lot of tasks, but he would have something all day to be busy with. Right now he doesn't have anything. So he would help the maids out and wait until he was called.

Which was now.

"mr. Hian" taehyung's voice was heard from downstairs.

"on my way, young master!" the butler said happily. He was glad he was finally needed for something. Quickly he made his way down the stairs and offered his service to the master's son. "what can i do for you?"

"me and Jungkook had been talking about sushi, i want him to try it. Are you able to grab some from the store for us? Since we are unable to leave the house and go ourselves ", Taehyung didn't like ordering someone to do something. Even if it was their job.

"Of course! Let me know your order and I will get it from you from the best sushi restaurant nearby."

"okay! I will ask Jungkook and come back to you. thank you so much"

And just like that the butler eventually left the house, on his way to complete the task given to him. Leaving taehyung and Jungkook unwatched for a moment. A good time for taehyung to start asking questions again.

"talk to me Koo...Please"

"about what?" Jungkook asked, looking at the other confused.

"what you can't tell me. i know i dreamed something that day, i-i just remember something vaguely. You're still avoiding it"

"i don't want to talk about it"

"What are you so scared of?!" Taehyung asked, looking a bit worried and annoyed. "You know you can trust me. I do respect your own privacy, but this includes me. I was there.... I need to know what happened. I can't keep having these nightmares without context."

"I don't....I don't want you to be afraid of me. It's worse than what you've seen me do. My kind is more evil and vile than you know"

"I will never fear you Jungkook...."

"o-okay...." Jungkook sighed. Taehyung was right, he deserved to know now. They intended to block out the whole memory of that day, but now he was starting to remember parts of it. It will only do more harm if he doesn't just tell him. Eventually these recurring memories will damage his brain while trying to get to the surface. The siren's block would still be a bother in his head.
"but... Sit somewhere comfortably, i don't want you to fall"

"fall?" Taehyung asked, confused , while they moved to the couch.

"I will forcefully open up the memories in your head. Which will cause you to relive the moment before you'll wake up again."

"oh....Okay" that scared Taehyung a little. Reliving the moment that already terrified him from only the nightmares.

"lie down and relax"

"Will it hurt?"

"You will feel and see things. But it's not real, In reality you are still here with me." Jungkook held taehyung's hand and waited for him to relax before he spoke again. "this will be the only time i will sing for you. Please remember my voice...."

Taehyung smiled and nodded at him.

Jungkook took a deep breath and started singing, not too loud, just only for taehyung to hear. He sang softly and carefully. Even if it didn't matter how he sang, it would still have the same effect. It's not less dangerous if you would sing in a whisper, the effects will still be exactly the same.

Either way, the sound Taehyung heard was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. It was as if all his worries were lifted out of him. He felt so happy..

Wait...

He heard this before...

It was the same as in his dream...

It was the same song as that day....

And then his vision changed. Everything turned dark. He was back in the deep waters sinking down. It was just like last time... but this time he saw it more clearly, he could feel everything around him, the cold, the suffocating feeling on his lungs, he even felt the movement in the water around him as the sirens circled around him, closing him in slowly but steadily. waiting for the perfect time to feast.

Then his sinking seemed to slow down and the moment around him came to a stop. and so did the singing, together with the silence of their voices taehyung's perfect image faded and he was met with reality. many glowing eyes staring at him through the dark depths of the water in front of him. They came closer and the eyes became faces, terrifying faces, some with scars, some having discoloring... but the most scary part was their mouths. their lips were tinted black and seemed to have cracks, as if they were rotten. Their teeth bared to bite. but he couldn't move, Taehyung felt paralyzed, all he could do was attempt to scream when they charged forward. His scream caused only damage, the salty water filled his lungs and burned him on the inside. He was panicking.

But then something pulled him back and he floated away twirling around like a doll. In front of him he could see the siren's come to a stop when something came in front of him. Taehyung didn't know what was going on, an unknown language was being spoken.... at least he thought it was a language, the sirens seemed to be communicating somehow, faint tones reached his ear through the water. Taehyung didn't have time to listen because he felt his consciousness fading. He was drowning.

The last his eyes saw was how the siren in front of him got attacked. the siren's dug their teeth into him like a horde of piranhas, pulling the traitor around like a piece of meat. Blood started to spread in the water creating a red hue over their glowing eyes. Taehyung recognized him now, this was jungkook... and he had seen it all happen.

Taehyung couldn't watch it, he couldn't watch the cruel actions of the sirens, luckily he didn't have to because he woke up in horror. He gasped for air and coughed as if he hadn't been breathing for a long time. His eyes were looking around in fear still as he got adjusted to his surroundings.

"Im here, just breathe, you're not underwater" Jungkook's gentle voice said and squeezed his hand to get the human's attention.

"I saw everything...'' Taehyung said and shivered all over, he still felt shaken by the scene he saw, the sirens that circled around him like predators, and then jungkook.... "i saw you..... when you got attacked"

Jungkook didn't reply, even thinking of it made his scars hurt like hell, he could remember it as if it was yesterday. Everything hurt, he didn't think he would be able to make it out alive. but he had to, he had to save that Human. So he managed to get out of the situation and take the unconscious human with him. Jungkook really thought he was going to bleed to death with how deep their bites were. But he was lucky, and so was Taehyung.

"i'm sorry"

"its fine"

"you saved me but got it only worse for yourself-"

"drop it, i showed you. now don't mention it again" jungkook frowned and let go of Taehyung's hand to stand up. He does not want to talk about this.

"Jungkook, are you just going to walk away??"

"I dont want to talk about it, it fucking hurts!"

Taehyung went silent when the raven raised his voice like that, even if it wasn't directed towards him he had never seen Jungkook raise his voice like this. it.. well, it surprised him.

"i-i didn't mean to shout at you." Jungkook said. and once again he felt disappointed in himself. He sighed. "I just dont... i dont want to think about it. I can still feel it. I am no longer welcome because of what I did. my family will never accept me back. I don't have a home to turn to like you, so i prefer to just leave it at that and move forward with you, because i love you.... that's all I want right now, okay" And with that Jungkook walked away.
