The next day came and Taehyung successfully delivered Jungkook his breakfast and some extra for lunch. Jungkook happily took the food and waved at him from the sea. They had a short talk since Taehyung had to leave for his meeting with Jimin today. But it was nice to talk to the raven again, even if it's just been overnight he already missed his presence in the house. Now they are closer than ever. He missed the close contact. He really felt happy that both have expressed their feelings and know they are on the same page. It was really making them feel a lot lighter inside, they no longer have to hide their affection from each other. So it was a bit sad that they already had to separate again, but luckily jungkook was healing well again. He still needs to stay in the water for a while, he can't leave until he is fully hydrated again. letting the water repair his dried out body from outside and inside.

Anyhow, Taehyung was already looking forward to when he can see Jungkook again. but now, Jimin had all his attention. Time for his soulmate!

"So, how are things with you and Jungkook now? you haven't mentioned him all day" jimin said while poking some fries from the bowl in between their plates. They were going for dinner after watching a movie earlier today.

"I didn't want to upset you by talking about him again."

"Taebear, you can always talk about anything with me. i'm your friend, i will support you either way, but if i think it's stupid i will not hesitate to say so '' jimin said and that made Taehyung chuckle.

"i know, that's why i like you"

Jimin smiled and then asked again. "so, tell me about it"

"well... were sort of dating now i guess"

"wait... hold up" Jimin stopped poking the fries and frowned "since when are you dating??"

"well, we uhm.. sort of both had feelings for eachother and we uhm.. yea were now more close than friends-"

"You did it with a fish!?"

"NO" taehyung's eyes widened and he covered his mouth realizing how loud he was and the heads turned towards him. "no i didn't. and he is not a fish. it was just a kiss, that's all" he whispered leaning towards Jimin so no one else would hear it.

"Oh my, this is just like those fantasy books," Jimin chuckled and put the fork down. "soooo a human and a siren. I would have never guessed it. I really thought he was gonna eat you"

"he won't, he won't hurt me chim. he protects me, he doesn't mean any harm to me"

"Even if he said so, I still don't trust him."

"he really is good! He let me put his hair into a bun, and he helped me change the bedsheets when he came over"

Jimin again was shocked. "CAME OVER???"

"yes- oh wait. so you see. he can go on land"

"this is getting more alarming by the second" the older shook his head and chuckled. "so.. he now can walk on land. damn"

"Yes, and he is really cool. I didn't expect him to be so tall actually."

"sooo, where is he now?"

"back in the sea. He cant stay out for too long. he will dry out"

"ah i see, so he won't just show up at my doorstep?"

"Do you want him to?"

"fuck yes, i want to see him already. I may not trust him, but that doesnt mean im curious to see a real Siren with my own eyes"

"I will ask him if he wants to. but he is very hesitant, he doesn't want his existence to be revealed. and I agree with him, if they get to know about him then it can never be anything good."

"That's true. But I promise you again, I won't say a word to anyone."

"i know you won't minnie, it's all good" taehyung smiled and took the last fry that was in the bowl, and with that finished the last that was left of their meal.

"I'm glad" jimin smiled back and soon enough the staff came to empty their table and after offering them something else to drink, which the two politely refused, they left the restaurant and were heading back home.

"Your car is here right?" Taehyung asked, following Jimin to the parking lot. They both parked somewhere else.

"yup" jimin pressed the button on his keys and the lights went on two rows in front of them. "there it is" he chuckled. ï had fun today, its nice to hang out again. we havent seen eachother for all those two long weeks, ugh i've missed youuu" jimin suddenly turned around and hugged Taehyung tightly. the younger hugged him back.

"Jimin, you're really such an affectionate person"

"i am, but my affection gets accepted, so i wont stop being it"

"Get home safely, give yoongi my greetings and a hug" taehyung said and let go of the other walking him to the car and watch him get in.

"thanks, you too ey. Drive well. and let me know if anything else exciting happens between you and that fish."

"he isn't a fishhhh"

"half fish then, anyway. talk to you laterr!'' Jimin smiled and closed the door honking at his friend while leaving the parking lot. Taehyung let out a sigh and started walking to where he left his car.

He just spent time with Jimin yet he already feels lonely again. He really needs people around him to give him company. to fill the lack of parental warmth in his life.

"talking of the devil '' he muttered seeing that familiar black car. He scoffed and went to walk on the other side of the road. But in the corner of his eyes he already saw him. And of course... him being deep down still desperate for even the smallest bit of warmth he stopped walking and turned around. Looking at the man that he was so similar to in looks. His father, standing on the side near his car, holding a small white box in his hands. Neither of them said anything. but his father also didn't leave right away.

maybe... maybe they could take this time? A bit hesitant, Taehyung started crossing the street. but halfway there his father reluctantly got in the car and drove away, not giving him another glance.

"oh just fuck off then!!" Taehyung shouted at the car and angrily waved his hands at the vehicle that drove away, "you asshole!" but his anger soon enough changed into sadness and his voice softened. "you never loved me..."

Without any announcement or plans Taehyung found himself back in the water cave. this time alone. He had called out for Jungkook, but the siren didn't answer back, so Taehyung thought maybe he was in the cave and swam in here. But jungkook wasn't here, all he found was a beautiful colored dead starfish together with two quite big pearls.

As if Jungkook had expected him to come eventually. He doesn't know how long it was laying here, it was already completely dry so it must have been here for a while already. Either way, Taehyung was thankful and sat down next to them. his feet in the water and his lips released a deep sigh.

"Sorry cave, it's just us today, '' he said. "I just needed to be here for a moment, don't worry. i won't take long"

After that he just sighed again. He didn't know what he wanted to say. why was he even here, yes it was his place to run to. but this time he didn't run for the cave, he ran to find Jungkook. he wanted to see him knowing he would instantly feel better when he was with him. Jungkook knows his feelings, he knows how he thinks about his father. so him not being here disappointed him. Silently he sat there thinking of words he wanted to let out but no words came to him, he could only feel emotions that he was unable to put into words.

"you're oddly silent today," a heavenly yet low voice behind him said. A wet tail stroked past his feet that dangled in the water. Taehyung turned his head seeing the Siren swim around his rock before pulling himself out of the water. Using Taehyung's legs as a support to push himself up off the water halfway. "talk to me"

"I don't have anything to say," Taehyung sighed. He does have things to say, he just doesn't know how to say them.

"Come now. Tell me your troubles" The siren chuckled and his face got close before he slipped back into the water, only his head resting on Taehyung's lap. "i like to hear you talk, like before"

"i just... Don't feel so well "Taehyung replied and stared back at Jungkook, his heart fluttering but he couldn't help but feel troubled by his encounter with his father earlier.

"hmmm. Would you... Like me to sing you a song?" the Siren said and grinned, his fangs showed in the smile.

Taehyung felt a shiver go through his body and with a smile he shook his head. "i don't think that is.....well...safe"

"Hmm, no it's not, '' Jungkook sighed. He loved to sing to people. His voice is the most beautiful of all living. But here he was, unable to let Taehyung hear his special ability. It disappointed him that he wasn't able to let the other listen. because he doesn't want to hurt the other. doing this might cause permanent damage to taehyung's brain. He might never recover from it.

"but... it's just about my father. I saw him and again he just left me there. why won't he talk to me..."

"Your father really sounds complicated. but maybe he is conflicted?'' Jungkook said while staring up at the other. His face softly resting on Taehyung's warm thigh, h e enjoyed the heat that warmed his cheek. "he seems to be wanting to see you, yet he hasn't spoken to you. I don't think he hates you, or else he won't go see you."

"yea'' Taehyung sighed. Jungkook was right, and he knows it. but it still upsets him that his father won't just talk to him instead of distancing.

Jungkook noticed taehyung really didn't want to talk right now so he moved to the side and pulled himself out of the water, sitting next to the other. With a small smile he wrapped his still wet and dripping arm around the human pulling him against him. Immediately Taehyung leaned into him and let out a soft breath. This is the comfort he was looking for. just this.

"I got these for you," Jungkook said, changing the subject. In his hand he had taken the starfish and two pearls.

"They are beautiful, thank you," Taehyung said and took the pearls, looking at them for a second time. It was fascinating how a seashell made these things.

"I like to collect pretty things i find in the deep"

"Can you talk to fish?" Taehyung asked out of the blue.

"no, but i surely do like eating them"

"that's.... nevermind" the human chuckled and closed his eyes, getting comfortable against the siren. He can't wait to take him home again, he wants Jungkook. He wants him in his life. he didnt care he belonged to the sea, they will find a way. they will figure something out, they just have to. No matter how many times he told himself this, he would always be reminded that reality is unchangeable...

 ugh im so stressed with my work. i have so much to do for my art career, and work. and all the daily stuff. i cant, i really want to write more often. but i just dont have any time. im so stressed already, im sorry for taking so long lately. please bare with me a little longer.
