"yes i would trust you with my heart"

Right at that moment it was Jungkook's turn to melt. His cold blooded body felt as if it was heating up, his cheeks turning a slight pinkish color. These words meant a lot to him, he smiled and looked at the human that stared back at him with such soft eyes.

"you... you would?"

"Yes" Taehyung smiled and watched how Jungkook approached him again this time not trying to be flirty and get taehyung flustered. He really looked pleased right now, it was visible that those words made him happy. And just like before they stood only inches apart. Jungkook looked down at the other with his pale eyes. Eyes that were surprisingly comforting for the human.

It didn't matter that Jungkook was no human. He made him feel protected and cared for, he put in the effort to make him feel comfortable around him, no not scare him off. Taehyung had never felt like this for anyone he had met, Jungkook did something new to him.

"Thank you," Jungkook said, breaking the silence between them. His hand moved up and gently took a hold of Taehyung's. "I will make sure to keep it safe with me"

"I might like you too," Taehyung chuckled after he said it. he felt nervous to speak it out loud, it was now officially acknowledging this and letting jungkook know. But it felt good, as if it was the start to build something together. And he wanted to, yes Jimin said sirens aren't to be trusted. but Jungkook can, he can trust Jungkook. And he does.

"Really now? i'm honored" jungkook chuckled and smiled looking at those warm lips. But then he felt Taehyung's hand pull himself out of his hold and a wave of disappointment washed over him. But he didn't have to feel like that. because before he could say something else he felt taehyung cup his face and give him a fast peck before stepping back with a blush on his face.

"S-s-sorry, I couldn't hold back," Taehyung said, fiddling with his fingers behind his back. He probably shouldn't have given him that kiss but he felt the need to. He knows he couldn't get it out of his head all day. ever since Jungkook cornered him against the table he had been hoping to do this, but he chickened out. This time he didn't, but he didn't know if it was right to do so.

"Oohhhh, you're so cute" Jungkook chuckled and grabbed taehyung's wrist pulling him back, this time making the human hit against his chest and snake his arm around his waist again.

Just how the human likes it.

yes, he noticed.

With his free hand he gently trailed his fingers over Taehyung's jawline to his chin and lifted it up. And after he had seen those beautiful brown eyes he lowered his head and connected their lips again, this time a proper kiss. Not a quick shy peck. but a kiss in which their lips melted together. Taehyung's warm ones warming up Jungkook's cold ones. Taehyung felt overwhelmed by the feeling that went through him right now. he wanted to hug, he wanted to kiss more, he wanted to close his eyes, he wanted to look. he wanted to talk, he wanted to feel, he wante- oh... this was nice. Taehyung slowly calmed down in his thoughts and wrapped his arms around Jungkook too. tilting his head in reply to the kiss. Jungkook chuckled lowly and pressed taehyung closer against him, enjoying the moment he had be wishing for.

He doesn't need his fellow sirens anymore, he got Taehyung. that's all he needs right now. And Taehyung felt the same, Jimin just knows the stories. Jungkook isn't dangerous for him, Jungkook wont hurt him, that's what he believes.

And he felt completely melted when jungkook's hands moved over him wanting to feel more of him. Trailing over his waist up to his ribs before moving back down to his hips. Until they halted, positioned on his hips. Jungkook knew he can't push things too far, so he stopped and sadly for the two of them they had to part. But instead of moving away they hugged and chuckled together. Only now that he was so close Taehyung noticed Jungkook's breathing sounded different, a bit more strained.

"you're cute," Jungkook said softly, making the other smile.

Yes, yes he trusts Jungkook.

"Sooo...what is the plan tonight?"

"Maybe we can watch tv together again? I just like to be close to you "Taehyung said and those words made Jungkook feel soft inside. hearing the human say he wants to be with him was making him feel so warm inside.

"I'd like that," Jungkook smiled and squeezed the human one last time before he let go. "I will go get some water, I'll be right down," Jungkook said and walked away without looking at the other.

"I will go find some fun shows to watch then" taehyung said but he didn't get a reply so he just decided to go down, maybe jungkook was using the toilet in there too? who knows.

And like that taehyung was scrolling through the list of shows that were playing today, there were a few options but he will have to ask jungkook first if he wanted to see them. Speaking of Jungkook, he had been up there quite a while already. He was just taking water and maybe the toilet, but even so that won't be this long. The human checked the time and noticed that almost fifteen minutes had passed since then. He began to feel worried, maybe something happened? maybe he fell? or used too much water, something like that. He stood up from the couch and started walking towards the hallway.

"Jungkook?" he called out while he walked. Before he reached the doorway he heard footsteps slowly coming closer.

"uhm... Tae" Jungkook's voice was heard and the taller appeared in front of him. Taehyung almost gasped when he saw the other. He looked totally different.

"Maybe we should watch tv another time" Jungkook said and awkwardly chuckled. The kin around his eyes had turned an irritated red color and his skin looked very dry as if it could crack when he moved. "I thought I could extend it a bit more but.. it's starting to hurt '' Jungkook said.

"Oh my.... then we should go. right now!" Taehyung said seeing Jungkook. The siren tried to smile it off but he could see it wasnt normal. "Why am I only seeing this now!?"

"i can temporarily repair my appearance to extend my illusion on land, but i....told you i wouldn't lie to you, so i let it show"

"Jungkook... don't do that again, you could get sick! what if you die from it!?"

"Well, it can happen-"

"That's not helping!!" taehyung frowned and grabbed his car keys. "im bringing you back right now, come."

"But.... yea '' Jungkook sighed. He knew he was the one that said he should go back in the first place, but now taehyung was actually going to take him he didn't want to anymore. Jungkook doesn't want to leave, he wants to stay. He wants to stay with Taehyung. But he was going to be honest, and if he pretended to be fine out of the sea he would be lying to him.

Jungkook wasn't used to the dry air yet, he can't push himself too far so early on. But next time, next time he can stay longer. Jungkook will practise, he will improve.

This was short, too short to his liking. He had to adjust again.

So just like that Jungkook was back on the beach with taehyung. this time naked while the human held the clothes he had been wearing.

"sooo.... when will you visit me again?"

"Tomorrow, I will bring you your food," Taehyung said while he watched Jungkook walk into the water. He stared at his back.

"I will look forward to it." jungkook smiled and looked back, now knee high into the water. He can feel his body take in the water, it was ready to shape back. but he didn't allow it yet, he wanted to stand here just a little longer. "I will miss you, even if it's just for a few hours. I will miss being around you. I had the best time with you, I didn't want to go back already. i was looking forward to watching that screen together"

"Me too. but we will let it wait for next time"

"It will take a while for me to heal fully."

"don't worry, I will visit you whenever I can. I promise. you won't be alone" taehyung smiled and jungkook smiled back. "

"thank you for trusting me, i will wait for you in the morning" and without that jungkook let himself sink into the water and transform back to his natural body. swimming away to the cave he sped so long in already. Before taehyung left he had placed the clothes in the hole of the rock again and pushed the loose rock in front of it.
