_____________
(Riley's POV)
The liquid in my hand is warm as it starts to run down my arm as well. I ignore the gooey feeling, and instead focus on reaching my destination. Something inside me is driving me to a location, but I have no idea where. My emotions are turned off to make me feel more determined. I stop in my tracks when I see Magneto sitting on a throne.
He killed my mother.
My mother.
"Riley, freeze!" I hear someone yell, and see Steve running to stand in front of me. Magneto doesn't even notice us, instead focusing on a dancing woman in front of him. "Don't do this. Don't go down this path."
"Move." A voice that is not my own demands, making Steve's eyes grow sad. "If you don't move, you will force my hand, Steven Rogers."
"I can't let you do this. Please, Riley." Steve begs, and for a second, my blood goes cold. Then, my hand is covered in ice before I shove it through his chest. He screams in pain, before I rip his heart from his rib cage. When he drops to the floor, I stare at the heart, slowing its beat in my hand. The sight of my best friend's blood snaps me out of whatever trance I am in, and I feel panic build up in my chest.
"Steve?" I whisper. When I turn around to look behind me, I see the bodies of the Avengers destroyed. "What did I do?"
"Welcome to the dark side, darling." Isobel grabs my shoulder and forces me to face her. "We have cookies."
~
"Riley?" My eyes snap open and I see Gabriel standing in front of me. "You were having a nightmare, weren't you?"
I'm no longer in my bed, but in the elevator of the tower instead. "Where was I going? Did I run into anyone else?" Gabriel doesn't answer me, prompting me to grab his shirt and slam him against the wall. "Answer me."
"You were going down." To the Tower exit. "I don't think anyone else saw you." Steve, thank God.
"Sorry 'bout that." I say after letting him go. Before the boy can ask me anything else, I walk away to go find food and act like nothing happened.
When I walk into the kitchen and see Steve, I turn on my heel to walk away, panic already rising. "Riley, wait!" Steve hollers, standing from his chair. Bucky gives him a strange look, but stands next. "I need to talk to you."
I bite my lip before giving them a fake smile. "Okay, lets talk." I follow them to one of the small conference rooms, and cross my arms.
"You're not going on our next mission."
"Depending on the mission, Steve." Bucky growls, glaring at his friend. When he looks at me again, he gives me a small frown. "If the mission calls for you, you'll join."
"Any other missions, you are to stay at the tower." Steve tells me, shifting his body weight from one for the other. "It's like probation. You went on a mission, risked two more people's lives, and did it all in secret from the team."
"But I rescued Pietro." I argue, but Steve holds his hand up. "So, I'm to stay here and do nothing but twiddle my thumbs?"
"You went behind our backs. Teammates trust each other." Steve explains. The panic begins to rise up again, this time quicker and stronger. "Your actions were not that of a good team member-"
"Steve-" Bucky tries to interrupt.
"-therefore, you are off the team for the time being." Steve finishes. My breathing becomes short, my leg begins to bounce impatiently, and my chest feels like it's caving in. Suddenly, Tony comes in, and I think I see my saving grace for a moment.
"You're having this discussion without me?" He questions, storming over to Steve. "I thought we were going to do this together."
"I'm just making a leader's decision, Tony."
Before I know it, I'm pushing the chair back forcefully and running out of the room. My vision blurs from lack of breathing correctly, and running doesn't exactly help, but I keep on anyway. I run past Natasha and Sam walking down the hall, and ignore them when they call out my name. I notice Gabriel heading for the training room, but fail to dodge him. I collide with him harder than I expected, knocking us both to the ground. "Riley, what's wrong?"
I keep my mouth shut and stand back up again. He reaches for my wrist, missing it by a hair when I start running again. I don't stop until I reach my room. "Pietro!" I exclaim when I manage to open the door. "Pietro!"
Instead of finding the couch, my knees go weak and I fall to the ground instead. At this point, I've started to silently cry while trying to catch my breath. My love comes out of the bedroom in an instant, and is by my side before I can speak. "Роза, what happened? What is wrong?" He asks worriedly, cradling me to his chest.
"Panic... panic attack." And then I start to sob uncontrollably. My fists clench his shirt in them, and my shoulders shake so hard that I fear Pietro will not be able to hold me. He whispers things to me, trying to calm me down, all while stroking my hair and back. "I can't stop, I can't breathe."
"It will be okay, my love. It will be okay."
"No no no no, it won't be okay. I'm not okay." I cry, shoulders shaking violently once again. "I'm not me, I'm not myself. I'm broken, something is wrong with me. I don't know w-what's wrong with me, Pietro."
"Nothing is wrong with you, Riley."
"I-I killed him!" I shout, my knuckles turning white from how hard I'm holding onto Pietro.
"Who?"
"I killed everyone. My nightmares, I killed everyone, I am the reason everyone dies. It's my fault. It's all my fault!" I notice a red aura wrapping around me like Pietro's arm, and slowly my sobs quiet to a dull cry. My heart is no longer racing and I can breathe once again.
"Спасибо тебе, сестра." Pietro whispers before picking me up and holding me close. I catch a glimpse of Wanda's worried face before Gabriel comes into view.
"Gabriel?" I murmur, and he musters a soft smile.
"Don't worry, Riley. Go to sleep." Gabriel says before his eyes turn purple, and mine close completely.
~
I wake up in my room, the sun shining through the cream curtains.
My curtains are not cream.
Immediately, I sit up and take in my surroundings. I'm not in my room in the tower, but in my room at my home. My little farm house. The smell of pancakes waft into my room, and soon I'm throwing off the covers and standing up.
I hear my brother's laugh and take off running down the steps. "About time you got up, Ri. I was wondering when the smell of food would wake you from your slumber." Justin is standing over the stove, flipping chocolate pancakes with ease. I run into his arms and hug him tight. "Jeez, someone missed me."
"You're here." I whisper, letting a tear fall.
"Of course I'm here. When a dream weaver tries to plant me in your head, I might as well come for real." Justin jokes, lightly pushing me off of him to get a good look at me. He wipes away my tear before smiling widely. "Look at my baby sister, all grown up and big and strong. You've been drinking your milk haven't you?"
I hit him in the arm before laughing. "So this is kind of real? In my dreams, yes, but this is really you?" I ask, my heart warming to the idea.
"I promised mom and dad I'd always look after you. Just because I'm not right by your side doesn't mean I'm going to break that promise." Justin tells me, and turns back to the pancakes. We've let them sit for a good five minutes and they haven't started smoking. Seeing the confused look on my face, my brother chuckles. "Dream world, Ri."
"I shouldn't even be having this experience. If I hadn't spazzed out..."
"Riley. Everyone spazzes out. You were at your breaking point." Justin grabs my hand to stop the bad thoughts from flooding my head. He glances outside and nods to himself. "Lets go for a walk."
I follow him outside, where our horses are grazing and the cows are lounging around lazily. "Why are you here? Honestly." I inquire, matching his pace as we slowly walk. He sighs and shakes his head.
"I miss you." He confesses. "I've been wanting to pop up in your dreams for a while now, but for some reason they've been shut off to me. That time I visited you on the rooftop was not enough. By the way, sorry to ruin your first date with that Peter guy."
"Pietro." I correct with a laugh. "Honestly, I think you helped it. You know how I am with building walls and such."
"Oh yes, ever the handy man. Or woman, I should say."
We both laugh, holding our stomachs as if we could laugh forever. "I missed you too, Justin." I tell him, wrapping my arm around his waist as his arm goes around my shoulder. "We have to have these talks more often. They might keep me sane."
"You have your friends to do that." Justin says, nodding to the sky. Suddenly, a memory of Pietro and I training together pops up. That day, I was trying to master turning water into a gelatin substance, and I was failing miserably. We both found humor in the situation. "Which brings me to my last question."
"Last question?"
"You gotta wake up sometime, Ri." He shrugs before stopping in front of our barn. "Do you really love him?"
"I don't think there was a time where I didn't. Maybe we were meant to find each other, and I was meant to save him that day. It wasn't a right-place-right-time kind of thing." I smile to myself, thinking of my first meeting with the speedster.
"Then don't push him away. Keep your walls destroyed. He's going to be your light in the dark days to come, baby sister." Justin hugs me again, and when he pulls back, I give him a confused look. He kisses my forehead and chuckles. "Tell him if he hurts you, I'll haunt his ass for the rest of his life."
"I'd love to see that." I joke, watching as he walks away. "Do you have to go so soon?"
"Wake up, Ri! I love you!" He yells when he's far away. The light grows bright for a minute, but I can make out his face as he smiles.
"I love you too." I whisper, and then he's gone.
~
"Riley, wake up." I roll over to see Pietro, who is wiping fresh tears from my face. "What's wrong?"
"I saw Justin, Pietro." I tell him, and a grin breaks out on my face. "I talked to my brother."
"But that is not possible, Роза." Pietro furrows his brows, causing me to laugh. "What is so funny?"
"I think Gabriel tried to make me see him, and then Justin actually visited me. It was really him." I explain, still smiling. Soon, Pietro is smiling while intertwining our hands.
"This is the first time in a long time I have seen you smile, love." Pietro murmurs, kissing me softly. "I love your smile."
"I am so sorry about yesterday, Pietro. I don't know what happened but-"
"Riley. Stop." Pietro places his finger over my lips, and kisses my forehead. "I want you. I want your ambition, your laugh, your compassion, your love, your smile, and your grace. If that means we have to tackle some bad days together, then so be it. I love you, Riley Jensen. Always."
"I love you too, Pietro Maximoff." I say before kissing him. When he pulls away, he lets out a short laugh. "What?"
"I was thinking of the saying, Беда́ никогда́ не прихо́дит одна́ (when it rains, it pours)."
"What does the mean?" I question, propping my head in my hands. He pushes a strand of hair out my face before smiling again.
"When it rains, it pours."
"Oh, because I'm a water wielder, right?"
"Riley, you made a joke!"

(Gabriel's POV)
I lean against the bar in the Avenger's kitchen, and I find myself glancing around every two seconds, waiting for an Avenger themselves to walk in the door. It's almost surreal being in here. There would be days that I would walk past this building or be a block away, and see the A in the sky as a symbol of hope.
"Gabriel!" I see Riley walk through the doorway, a smile on her face. "You're still here!"
"Thank you, Justin Jensen." I mutter to myself with a grin before she comes over and hugs me. "How are you feeling?"
"Better. Thanks to you." She tells me. Pietro comes into the room a few seconds later at full speed, and suddenly there are two full bowls of Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the bar complete with a cup of coffee and a Mountain Dew. "Mountain Dew is for me, if you're wondering."
"That drink is so bad for you!" I exclaim, picking it up and reading off the health facts. She just shrugs, while Pietro laughs. "Seriously, do you want to die?"
"Thank you! Someone agrees with me!" Pietro says, throwing his hands in the air. Riley rolls her eyes before snatching it out of my hand and taking a big gulp.
"C'mon, Ri. Think about your health." I joke, but Riley spits out her Mountain Dew everywhere. "Wow, are you seriously listening to me?"
She stands up abruptly with Pietro trying to say something to her. I watch as she doesn't make eye contact with me before walking promptly out of the room. "Her older brother used to call her Ri." Pietro explains, sighing.
Immediately, I jog after her and find her leaning up against the wall outside the room with her eyes closed. "Riley... I'm so sorry about that. I had no idea that was Justin's nickname for you." I apologize, slowly approaching.
Oddly enough, she hugs me instead of yelling at me. When she pulls away, she smiles at me. "It made me really happy, hearing someone else call me that. You know, today is the most that his name has been mentioned in a long time."
"I hope you were okay with the dream I put in your head last night too. If not, I'm sorry."
"Justin came and saw me. Not the Justin you tried to place in my mind, but my Justin. My brother." Riley tells me, and my jaw drops. "I don't know how it happened, but I got to spend time with my brother thanks to you, Gabriel."
Before I can say anything else, Captain Rogers walks up to us. "Can I speak with you both for a moment?" We both nod and follow him back into the kitchen, where most of the team is already at. "Gabriel, this is about you."
"Whatever is happening, I take full responsibility for the day we rescued Pietro and I take responsibility for Gabriel." Riley steps up next to me, crossing her arms as I look down at my feet nervously. "He's helped me out a lot, and helped us find Pietro in the first place."
"Riley, don't beat me to the punch line." Steve jokes, changing the mood instantly. "I wanted to know if Gabriel wanted a place on this team."
My eyes flick up to look at Steve's face. His smiling at me, and so is the rest of the team. I look to Riley next to me who is nodding encouragingly at me. "Are you serious?" I grin and laugh nervously. "Me, and Avenger?"
"C'mon, Dreamweaver, it'd be fun." Clint Barton nods. Riley huffs and crosses her arms.
"Hey, I came up with that one before you guys even knew about his powers!" Riley exclaims with a laugh. I look around again, and see no angry faces or any intentions of protesting against me being on the team. "I'm not hearing a no?"
I look at Riley again, before making eye contact with Steve and nodding firmly. "It would be an honor." I say, sealing the deal.
"Welcome to the team, Dreamweaver." Tony Stark grins widely before shaking my hand.
I'm an Avenger.

(Third Person POV)
Isobel Hunt paces back and forth, leaving fire in the place of footprints. All of Magneto's Acolytes avoid coming into contact with the flaming mutant. All but Mystique, that is. "Can you sit down?" The shape shifter growls while filing her nails. "It's starting to feel like an oven in here."
"Where the hell is Magneto? I've been waiting for two hours now." Isobel complains, launching a fireball into a nearby wall. "This is getting ridiculous."
"Tsk tsk. I wouldn't be calling me ridiculous, Ms. Hunt." Magneto walks into the room, glaring at the woman almost in flames. "I do not meddle in your personal matter."
"That bitch brainwashed my son!" Isobel shouts, her fists becoming blue fire. "I want him back!"
"That is not my problem. If you had made different choices in raising him, he might have made a smart decision." Magneto waves his hand to try to dismiss her.
"Maybe if you hadn't been such a witch." Mystique mutters, before dodging a fireball hurtling her way. She shifts into a bear, and starts to charge Isobel before Magneto holds up his hand for her to stop.
"The time will come when we will take down our enemies. Riley Jensen will be the first to go. Now, if you want to be the one to do it, I suggest staying on my good side." A pole behind Isobel slowly bends and then wraps around her throat, getting tighter by the second. "My bad side can get messy."
"Riley Jensen is mine." Isobel snarls, her hands turning hot and melting away the metal. "I'll have her head on a plate."

A/N: All finished! Gabriel is officially one of my favorite OC's to write, and so is Justin. My friend SaveTheBrooklynBoys is doing a Christmas special (that I am SO excited for), so what do you guys think of me doing a Christmas special. I was thinking maybe A) Christmas flashbacks of Riley and her family when Justin was alive, B) Gabriel's first Christmas with the Avengers, or C) any ship you'd love to see! Even if its Riley and someone that is not Pietro (which sometimes I fully support ;) ) or just Riley and Pietro! Give me your opinion on what you would like to read the most! Thank you for reading this next chapter of Siren's Song!
