The water's pressure pushed against Siren as he followed the other siren. He swam deeper and deeper down until reaching a trench, then they dove down.

Beneath, there was a glorious civilization. Pillars and houses all made within the trench. "Thank you." Siren told their companion. The other siren nodded, and swam off, leaving Siren to look around for something, mostly his parents.

The gray captain looked around, greeting the other sirens. Then, the previous companion came back. "Wouldst thou like to meet the ones 'i power?" He asked. Siren nodded, following his companion. It was strange seeing all the sea life. Siren hadn't been in this situation since he was a child, before the departure.

"Mam! Where we going?" A younger version of Siren asked. A black siren looked at her child. "Somewhere safe." She smiled. Siren nodded as his mother picked him up and shifted to a cat form. Siren did the same, mimicking his mother.

The molly looked back into the ocean, looking at Siren's father. He was a golden tom with a copper-colored tail. "If anyone bids, thou know not whom thy parents are. Thou were towards the streets for thy entire life. Do not say to anyone thou art a siren, only say 'tis thy name." She whispered. Siren nodded and was taken further into the town. The stars and full moon above illuminated their path.

"If you're lucky, you may find another siren." She added. Siren nodded and was placed onto the ground. "Good luck, stay safe. We love you." The molly stated her departure. "Mam? Why are thou saying as bye?" Siren asked. He didn't receive an answer from his mother, as she just walked further and further away. He tried to chase after her, but she was too far away. He collapsed on the concrete ground, desperation creeping through his fur.

Siren pushed a shark out of the way and entered the grand building that stood before them. "This it?" He asked. The other siren nodded and rang a bell.

"Our queen, we hast a guest, another siren!" The companion shouted. All remained still for a moment, then out came a tiny siren. "The queen is out right now, grant her some time! She shall be back 'i an hour." The siren announced. The companion nodded, and took Siren around the building, sharing this place as a safe haven. 

"So, who's the queen? I don't remember there being one when I was a kit." Siren asked. "Oh, there ne'r was a queen. She took up the role because we needed some leadership for safety. None very knows her name though. Many of us do not regard she e'en as one." He answered. Siren nodded and poked a starfish curiously. "Thou do not seem as though thou wot siren customs. Why?" Siren's companion suddenly asked, the young one's eyes glittering green.

"I was on land for most of mine life. Safety." Siren answered. The other nodded, swishing his tail through the water. They continued swimming around for a little bit, Siren poking as many strange things as he could. It was really weird being underwater, but not overly uncomfortable, just more nostalgic.

Perhaps he'd enjoy this, and Anemone and their son could live here!
