Admitting defeat
---Elijah's POV---
It had to have been at least decades ago when I had first encountered the Siren, and it hadn't been a good one on his part.
Our hunting pod had taken all the current Mer fry with them, to teach us how to track down and hunt our prey, how to lay in ambush until the very last second.
That rush of adrenaline when you snuck up on your prey, the overwhelming power that pumped through your body when you chased them down and the elation when you managed to catch them.
All of it was addictive.
And then, the pod had spotted something in the distance. A rarity. A delicacy.
A Siren family out for the hunt with their own fry.
I still clearly remember the curiosity that had flooded through my body at the sight of one of the fry, chasing after sardines like I had chased down my own quarry, no doubt with the same joy and elation on my own face.
The fry's red hair had danced around his head in the currents, whipping around and distorting his vision undoubtedly, yet he caught his fair share of his own food.
I had been so mesmerized and distracted, I hadn't even realized the pod had launched their attacks until the boy's expression turned ghastly from fear, the fish exploding in every direction as our hunting pod had descended onto the unsuspecting Sirens.
My elders had shown them no mercy and the other fry had eagerly chased after the little Sirens, their bloodlust and thrill of the hunt overtaking them.
But my own attention was drawn to the flicker of red that disappeared between the corals down below, the shivering of the boy's tail as its scales continuously changed color, desperately trying to blend into his surroundings.
My tail had flicked silently on its own, mere curiosity making me swim closer until I paused, wondering why we were attacking them.
They kinda look like us... yet... they're food? None of the other prey looked like us though...
I had cast one last look at his hiding spot before leaving him be with a hollow feeling in my gut. No matter how much the elders urged me to feed on the floating remains that twirled in the water...I couldn't.
And then, decades later, a chance encounter. I had almost forgotten about the redheaded Siren that had unknowingly managed to escape our pod and had resigned myself to never finding him again.
Boredom had me investigating a ship that crossed my path, hoping to perhaps snag a careless fisherman or two from its deck.
The hunting party that had been following me around were mostly females just out of mating season, exhausted and starving for a meal. They too were all too eager to sink their teeth in some flesh.
So imagine my surprise when we approached the ship, only to hear the allure in one of the occupants' voices.
A Siren? Amongst humans?
It had instantly drawn the attention of the starving females, whom recklessly charged onto the ship. When her body was quickly and quietly disposed of, I could no longer hold onto my own curiosity, lying in ambush for the Siren to take a leap.
He had been extremely cautious, most of the pod already dispersing and only a few females lingering, as they were still going through their mating cycle but soon left when they realized I held no interest in them.
A few days later and the Siren finally leapt of the ship, only for a fleeting swim before returning to the humans. It had made my self-control snap, and I had crawled my own way on the ship to lay eyes on him.
And there he was. Now fully mature, eying me warily without a glimpse of recognition in his eyes. A brief frustration had filled my chest before I smirked, allowing myself to fall back into the water to hatch a plan.
A plan to mark that Siren as mine.
But never, ever had I guessed that my genius plan would end up with such satisfying results. Eyes flitting back to the human, no, Archer, I couldn't help but smirk as he glanced down at me with a cocky grin.
If I had known earlier what humans were capable off, I would've marked one for myself a lot sooner. "Then again, perhaps it is this particular human that's different." I mused, eyes lazily trailing over his damp chest with firm pectorals and carved abs before dipping down to where we were still very deeply connected.
"Caught your breath yet?" I teased, tilting my head back as the human barked out a laugh and braced himself over me. "Shouldn't I be the one asking that from you? After all, I believe it was a certain Mer that begged me to wait for a moment, squirming for-"
A low growl slipped from my throat as I yanked him closer, teeth nicking his lips. Archer fell into the kiss, easily taking charge in a way that should frustrate me to the bone but when he thrusted forwards at the same time his hands yanked my hips towards his in greeting, all I could do was purr in bliss.
It was frustrating that he could play me so well, how his abs clenched and flexed with each fluid arch of his hips. How he just knew where to thrust to make my body become equally numb and overcharged with pleasure.
And how I had already had three orgasms and Archer hadn't released a single time yet. His hips sped up, a delighted smirk reaching his eyes as I clenched my legs around his hips and screamed into his mouth, needing to breathe through my gills because this man was just...
Impossible.
"And that's four. Think you can handle one more darling?" He teased, slicking my hair back from my face as he pulled out of me.
I growled halfheartedly, face rolling into the pillow with a grumble as Archer effortlessly turned me around and lifted my hips for easy access.
"Sounds like there's no need for me to hold back anymore." Archer drawled, making me blink wide-eyed before turning to look over my shoulder.
Holding back?
He gave my ass a stinging swat as he returned my confused gaze with a cocky smirk, adjusting his grip on my hips with a wild look in his eyes.
Oh shi-
A low, deep moan rolled out of my throat as Archer held my hips in an iron hold, thrusting wildly and pegging my prostate violently.
My arms trembled before I collapsed, howling in utter pleasure as Archer bottomed out. That split second made me realized that all this time the human had been holding back, hadn't given me the full length of his cock.
Archer smirked but kept going, hell, even sped up to the point where I could feel his every muscle tremble with effort, our growls, grunts and moans filling the room as I could only rejoice in the feeling of his firm and hot cock sliding deeper and deeper.
I couldn't even make a sound, whimpering under my breath as I came violently, shivering and spasming when Archer joined me in a roar, hips stuttering and slapping against my ass for a few seconds longer before he collapsed on top of me.
His harsh breathing rushed in my neck and tickled my gills, making me squirm slightly before he chuckled and rolled off, groaning as he did.
"Man...It's been...ages....since I.... was able.... To let loose...." He panted, chest heaving as he stared at the ceiling before slowly pushing himself up on his elbow to look down at me.
"So, Mr. Perfection, are we feeling sated yet?"
I hummed breathlessly, chuckling as I let my gaze wander over his body. My own limbs trembled with aftershocks of pleasure while Archer simply looked...
Delicious...
To think I'd have to admit defeat to a mere human, a lesser being. Yet Archer had shown me in plenty of ways that he was in no way lesser and in fact, my superior.
My eyes landed on his spent length, still semi hard and glistening with his cum. Lifting my eyes to him with a teasing grin, I reached out to let a finger trail over his delicious cock, having the pleasure of hearing his sharp inhale.
Lifting the finger to my mouth, I sucked off his essence, savoring the flavor on my tongue before shooting him a wink.
"I am... for now, at least." His cock stirred when I let my fingers caress the soft yet rigid flesh, walking up to his chest as I added, "But I'll have to keep you close, you know... just in case..."
Archer smirked back, chuckling as he trapped my hand against his chest, where I felt his heart hammer underneath my palm.
"Oh precious, who said anything about letting you go anytime soon? Us pirates are greedy sons of bitches that will guard their treasure until the day we die. You're not going anywhere unless it's to my cabin."
A grin slid on my face as I stretched out beside him with a sudden throb in my heart.
"Excellent." I flipped over, landing heavily in his lap as he gazed at me with amusement, especially when I added, "Then let's not waste any time and continue where we left of, shall we?"
