Rajveer and Dharam reached Anirudh's house...bungalow actually.

"Sir..Kam se kam 7-8 crore ka Bunglow hoga...itna Paisa ata kaha se hai inke pas" Dharam said envying the luxurious bungalow from outside.

"Hmm...koi chota mota businessman nahi lagta hai ye admi..iski bhi kundali nikalni hai tumhe" Rajveer said ringing the door bell.

"Jee sir, aj sham Tak kaam ho jayega" Dhram said.

Rajveer asked again "postmortem report ka kya hua? Kab Tak ayegi?"

"Wo bhi aj sham tak ajayegi aj subha hi Hospital mein baat Hui thi" Rajveer nodded at the information when the door opened.

And then he saw the same girl he  rescued last evening on hill road, she was wearing a pale yellow saree. She stood there with eyes wide in surprise. Why is he here, the first question popped in her mind. Her lips trembled, but no words emerged, she started to feel scared.

His heart clenched seeing her condition, from exterior she looks fine but from her eyes he can see her wounded soul, what might have happened? He was curious.

"App.." she broke the silence with her honey dipped voice.

"Jee hame Mr. Anirudh Seth se kuch baat karni hai" Dharam spoke before Rajveer could come out of his thoughts.

"Jee wo to Ghar par nahi hai" she replied catching his glimpse from the corner of her eyes.

"Kab tak ayenge?" Dharam further asked.

Naina sighed "wo kab ate hai, kab jate hai kuch nahi pata.."

"Aap unki..?" Rajveer asked her straight away.

She looks at him, suddenly confidence covering her "patni...wo pati hai mere"

He takes a deep breath, something uncomfortable settling in him. He stared at her without a stop when Dharam spoke "Kamal hai, biwi hokar apko ye nahi pata ki apke pati kaha hai aur kiske sath hai?"

"Excuse me!" Her tone stiffened when he asked her the question, she was offended.

"Sorry, magar ye hamara Kam hai, kya hum andar asakte?" Rajveer asked politely.

She hesitated for a while then nodded stepping aside to give them way to inside.

Rajveer scanned the every nook and corner of the house, taking in as much details as he could.

"Kahiye kya kehna hai apko" Naina asked impatiently.

Rajveer looks at her change of demeanor with quirked brow "kafi jaldi mein lag Rahi hai aap, kahi Jana hai.....? Yaaa..kisi ko ana hai?".

"That's none of your concern" she said in a strict tone, not wanting them here for longer.

He smirked at her changed attitude "Okay then. I'll change my question. Kal raat aur parso ki raat apke pati kaha the?" Rajveer asks in his professional tone.

"Wo......wo, do din se Ghar nahi aye hai" she hesitantly said without meeting her gaze.

Rajveer and Dharam exchanged surprised look. "Matlab wo parso raat bhi Ghar nahi the?" Dharam confirms when she nodded.

"Apke pati do din aur do raat se Ghar nahi aye..to kaha gaye? Apko malum nahi" Rajveer further asked her who was trying to escape the situation.

"Hum ek dusre ki life mein zyada interfere nahi karte" Naina looks at an empty wall trying to ignore their surprised looking reaction knowing how stupid she must be sounding.

"Aj kal ke couple ek dusre ko kuch zyada hi space nhi de rahe hai, fir rote hai kisi tisre ke space me ghus jane se" Dharam mumbled

"Ap dono pati patni hi hai na? Ya fir sirf house mate?" Dharam taunted smiling sarcastically.

"Meri aur meri pati ki personal life mein kya hota hai, kya nahi iss se apko kya matlab hai? Aur kyu aye hai app yaha..kyu tang kar rahe hai mujhe? Mujhse itne sawal jawab kyu" Naina asked raising her voice feeling irritated with their continuous questionnaire when she was already depressed.

"Apka matlab nahi hai na, to thik hai, kijiye apne Husband ko call aur puchiye kaha hai wo..bulaiye unhe fir hum unhi se sawal jawab kar lenge" Rajveer too said in a strict tone as she wasn't cooperating well.

Naina picks up her phone and dials his number but it was switched off. Rajveer was now satisfied and smirked at Dharam who also understood. It was 80% confirm that it's him.

Naina again dialed but it again it says switched off. "Rehne dijiye, mujhe pata tha Aisa hi kuch hoga".

Rajveer said in confident voice.

Now she was little uncomfortable "kkai..kaisa...hua kya hai...aur aap log kyu Anirudh se puch tach karna chahte hai".

Rajveer steps near her looking straight at her face wanting to see her reaction "App apne pati ki life mein zyada interfere nahi karti hai...magar kya apko ye bhi nahi pata tha, ki unka bahar affair chal Raha hai".

Naina was a little surprised but not shocked, it was confirmed to Rajveer that she knew about his adultery. He can see pain caging her deep orbs, her body getting loose. He felt bad seeing her like this, no woman or no man deserves this.

When she didn't say anything Rajveer continued "Megha Das, she was murdered a night ago".

Her body trembled a bit but she controlled "ap..app...kya kehna.... kya chahte hai...." She was getting tensed. "Kaun hai ye Megha? Aur uss se Anirudh ka kya lena dena"

"Apko Megha Das ke bare mein nahi pata" Dharam asked and she denied.

"Maj. Anirban Das ki wife aur apke Husband ka affair chal Raha tha...aur jis din apke pati Ghar se nikle usi din Megha Das ka murder ho jata hai aur tabse ab tak, apke pati ki koi khoj khabar nahi.."

Naina slumped down on the couch, she had no energy left in her body.  Can Anirudh do this? "No" instantly that was her answer "Anirudh kuch bhi kar sakte hai magar kisi ki jaan nahi le sakte..." She looks at Rajveer with pleading eyes to beleive her "trust me, he cannot do so".

Rajveer sighed and looked away, her eyes were making him feel weak, things which he do not want.

"Dekhiye Miss."

"Mrs. Seth" she said.

"Mrs. seth" Rajveer spoke "kaun nirdosh hai aur kaun gunehgar ye investigation puri hone ke bad pata chalega..filhal hamare prime suspect Anirudh Seth hai upar se unka yu gayab hona shak ko aur pukhta karta hai. Agar wo aye ya apko unke bare me kuch bhi pata chale.. do tell us" he gives her his card. "Ye Mera number hai".

Rajveer and Dharam starts to leave when he said "hum apse firse puch tach kar sakte hai to zyada shock mat hoiyega and try to coperate kyunki victim aur accused se jude logo ka is case se pura pura Lena Dena hai" He warns her indirectly and left.

They were about to get in the Jeep when they heard her "I am ready to cooperate officer" Rajveer smiled "magar agli baar jab aap mere Ghar aye, to kisi female constable ko sath zarur lekar aye, follow the protocols properly.". She said in a harsh tone. "Warna kanun mein bhi janti hu" she warns him indirectly.

Rajveer smirks at her changed demeanor "zarur Mrs. Seth, yaad rahega mujhe". Dharam ignites Jeep, Rajveer keeps looking at her going inside the house through the mirror. "Pal mein tola pal mein Masha, alag hi case hai ye aurat".

Naina closed the gate behind her and slumped down on the floor against the door as tears streamed down from her eyes.

"Pehle hi tumne mujhe Kam dukh Diya the Jo ab ye bhi..." She hides her face between her palm. And recalls the day when her hopes shattered brutally.

Flashback

Aj mein upar, aasma niche, Aaj mein agey, zamana hai piche

She twirled around the living room with happiness. Today was the most fortunate day of her life.

When everything was going dull, she was almost lifeless, no ray of hope was seen in her colourless life when this news came like a miracle.

She smiled and puts her palm on her flat belly lovingly "Thankyou, apni Maa ki suni si zindagi mein rang lane ke liye".

She stands near the window and looks at the sun setting, talking to her unborn "pata hai baby, apke ane ki khabar se pehle kuch chize disturbed thi, lekin apke ane ki khabar se sab thik ho jayega. Apke papa aur mumma, pehle se bhi zyada kareeb ajayenge". She blushed going in her dream land

She takes a deep breath of relief "apke ane se apke mummy papa ke bich ki saari duriya khatam ho jayengi, sab kuch sambhal jayega... " She smiled hopefully "mumma papa and baby, we will be a happy family".

Suddenly her phone starts ringing "arey wahh, dekha connection.. apke papa ka phone aya....".

"Hello, mein abhi apke bare me hi...." Before she could speak he cut her in between.

"Mein tumhe Divorce de Raha hu... I can't stay with you" He speaks in a rough voice.

"What!!" She was numb, not in a condition to say anything.

"Mein kisi aur se pyaar karta hu, aur uss se shaadi karne wala hu...bas itna hi batana tha" without waiting further for her reaction or reply he hangs up.

She was standing there numb trying to comprehend the happenings. She wanted to cry and scream but wasn't able to. A moment ago she was on cloud nine and now, every hope, every happiness, every dream of hers shattered into pieces.

Her happily ever after was burned to ashes with her poor heart. Now what will happen to her...to her baby. Her unborn.
