The transport back from the telepath's was tranquil; No unusual or contradictory to how it had been on the way to the same. However, there was an exception in the last few minutes of the car ride.
"You're dumb," Sera stated.
"Don't! You'll not like it when you might very soon realize who the dumber one is. Don't come running to me when you have a spirit chasing after you like in the movies, although all I can picturize is you chasing the spirit," Yoongi said robotically.
"That spirit thing again? Ugh, whatever! Yoongi, when do you plan to tell Hyejin? I heard that she confessed to you and you said 'yes'. You guys have started dating now, if you tell her, I don't think she'll take that very well. You had the time to tell her when she confessed, what are you even doing, dimwit?"
Yoongi sighed. He had nearly forgotten about the Sera who'd henpeck him about everything that involved Hyejin.
"You think she'll leave me if I tell her too?"
"Of course, there's a big chance of that happening. That's why I've been telling you to come clean from the very beginning. Her falling for you even after knowing who you are, that's precious, but her knowing about the truth after falling for you because you chose to stay as a liar is disastrous. The more time you wait, the more disastrous it'll be."
The man could do nothing but nod.
"I'm just concerned about her. I don't want to lose an employee for just as meagre as a heartbreak," Sera concluded, managing to earn a chuckle from the dispirited man.

The ouija was abandoned in a nook of Sera's room back at her abode while she was at the club the entire afternoon. Her busyness in the evening until she went back for the night shift almost made her mind miss about the whole deal. It was not until 11 of the night when she was boredly scrolling through her phone that she was reminded of it. The source was some unknown text messages.
It was from a panicking and apologizing Kim Seokjin. He was dearly hoping she did not try the ouija yet. When Sera replied with an affirmation, he sent her a website link and requested her to stringently go through it.
Well, she had no better job to attend to.
And that's how she ended up reading a 126-slide e-book, 'The World Beyond Us,' crafted by the Kim Seokjin himself. All she was supposed to do was to read the instructions, of handling ouija and summoning a spirit, on his professional website on psychicism. But she did not regret what she read, it was fascinating. In theory!
Contradictory to her arguments at Seokjin's place, she wasn't entirely repulsed to the idea of spirits' existence. There could be spirits, she believed, but she was a practical woman, not to forget, the top student of criminal law during the days.
What happened at Seokjin's was in the heat of the moment. Returning back from the trip, she regretted making a fool out of herself like that, it was very much unlike her. She was self-proclaimedly the most mature one among the ones she knew. There was absolutely no need to have behaved so kiddish with an equally kiddish man, she now knew, such as Seokjin.
All aside, if she would say now, after reading the book, that she wasn't interested to try the ouija at all, then that would be a lie.

Sera woke up at precisely 4 of the morning, 2 hours earlier than usual. The setup for the 'Spirit Summoning Project' called for a completely quiet and Stygian atmosphere. What better time than the pre-dawn!
She set up the ouija with a coin and a candle nearby for a dim source of light. After chanting the spells she memorized from the website instructions, she commenced.
"Is someone here?" She asked in a whisper, staring at the coin expectedly. It didn't move an inch.
"Of course, there's no one here. It was all a scam. That stupid Yoongi!" Her voice came out louder this while.
Before she could change her mind and ditch the plan, a loud bang of metal was heard; Loud enough for the quiescent quality of predawn. In no time, Sera ran to the window to witness a shivering, rusted metallic gate of the barren House 3069. The cause? Wind. What took Sera by bemusement was how the wind was affecting the trees and wilderness of just 3069. Sera's garden, as well as the others' all around, was still as still as death.
'Unusual happenings are always an indication of the presence of the inhumane.' Sera reminisced the interesting words from Seokjin's book.
She settled herself back in front of the ouija and tried decoding any spiritual presence but to no avail.
It was at 6 that she woke to the singing android alarm realizing she actually went to the height of dozing off waiting for the precious spirit to show up.

The man had been once again having a dejected day out of his loop of a life. He had had taken a while off from his walks and was sat at a turn of the nothing-unusually dark building he was imprisoned in. He was worried, at the back of his mind, if he'd miss a chance to escape because he opted to skip the walk.
He would never learn, as the other souls said. They pitied him for being so hopeful. They knew what he wanted, of course, they knew, it was everyone's dream. But they never understood the correlation of his plans of abscond and him going on those walks; they were all uneducated in the matter, after all, everyone but him.
It was then that he felt it. A vibration through his unseen nerves. Goosebumps on his inhumane body, like how it used to feel when he was still breathing. A brewing of lively desire once again in his mind. Oh how he wished to unite to the magnet! The portal! He knew it was the portal he was feeling, the portal he had taken pains to search for every day, the portal that'd take him to the world of humans.
He ran out of the house to find it, the magnetism of the portal being his guide. He was in a hurry to find it first and make use of it. Though the other souls around didn't know about it, it's magnetism was naturally addictive, and curious clueless souls could end up using it once and for good.
The portal was no distant than the house to his left. He ran into the house and found an attractive flat, lime layer of light in the air, shimmering green fire sparks adorning the beauty.
Fat tears rolled down from his eyes, from the eyes of one of the most dangerous men when still alive. He could've missed it, had he been out for his customary walk in search for a portal. Fate wasn't so cruel to him, after all. He brought up his hand to touch the light, and expectedly enough, his fingers went through it, tips disappearing into the alienic abyss. He could go back to his birthplace, he could seek back the real life, he could go back to the human earth. Finally! Finally!
"Finally.." he breathed out. His last words in the dark earth.

Sera took her sweet time returning to her house this morning. Of course, she found the house locked up. She forgot to leave a message to either of her housemates. She could imagine Rowoon's anger, having to wait for Sera for breakfast until she finally gave up and commenced. It was when Hongnan called, that Sera realized she forgot to notify.
The maid at Etiquettes had suddenly complained about the ill-working cleaning-equipments, and hence Sera found herself rushing to the store to order some, inconsiderate of the early hour(much to the outstandingly-arrived(some still arriving) employees' discomfort).
Sera's breakfast was set out on the dining table, cold and tired of waiting. The woman who never once cared about the quality of what she ate, had nothing to lose.
Sera sprawled her way into her room, only to be met with utmost perplexion. The room that smelled like her just a few hours ago reeked of nothingness now. It felt colder and was, or felt, slightly hazy. It felt darker, curtains all blinded, impermeable to the slightest streak of light.
But the most distinguishable difference of all was the man who was standing beside her bed, enjoying the visuals of the photo frame on the table. He was facing away from her. Estimably 6 feet tall, fairly wide shoulders. And fairly intimidating! Sera would've tiptoed to the kitchen to get a knife given she hadn't just preyed herself into the room like that. Instead, she walked in subtly and tried to switch on the lights but magically none worked. Just the lights in her room that was.
She reached the dresser that was on the opposite side of the bed and cleared her throat, elbow resting on the top of it and chin resting on the palm.
The man who was running his fingers down the metallic photo frame turned around with a sinister smirk. He tilted his head from side to side slowly and dramatically, a clack sounding at each tilt, then rolled his shoulder, just like how a wrestler or a villain in an old-fashioned film would do.
Sera glamorously pulled the top cabinet, traced her gun, cocked it and directed it at him without a pain or worry. "Tell me how and why you entered and you're free to walk out from here," she said.
The man had an amused smile on his face, smirky and dimpled. "Or?" His manly, deep voice was finally revealed to Sera.
/He was handsome. Looked as if in his 20s. Tanned skin, facial features so unique Sera could swear she'd never seen someone that looked like him to associate with, had dimples that could never be missed. The fact that Sera could make it all out in the dark was very uneasy for her, somehow she could see him very very clear, but anything else in the room, just the normal hazy grey./
"Confident, are we? Got your men out there hiding, huh?"
The man chuckled. "This is perfect," he mumbled. Sera raised a brow.
"You want to shoot me, right? Go ahead." He slowly walked towards her.
"What trick are you playing? Underestimating me wouldn't do, kid. If you are sent from Daegu, you should know better."
The playfulness in his eyes vanished. "Shut. The. Fuck. Up."
And that was it. Geum Sera lost her temper and aimed the shot at his thigh. But then...she lost her sanity as well. For the bullet went right through his thigh and collided at the wall behind instead, his thigh spotless as it had been. Sera was excellent at aiming, and so was she in eyesight.
'It can't be,' she thought. She looked at him again. The way he was dressed was odd, not at all how modern people did. And he wasn't even old, couldn't be older than her, for certain.
She never thought she would ask something like it, but she did.
"Are you human?"
There was heavy silence for an instance, but the reply backed.
"No."
"Prove it!"
"I could kill you right now." He whispered it low and sharp.
"But you can't!" There was no fear in Sera's voice, and that seemed to have angered the spirit. He approached her and stood inches apart from her.
"How can you say that, doll?"
"Do it. If you're a free spirit, you'll be confined forever. If not, well then, since you kinda need me to sustain here in this world, you'll return back to the confinement, I guess. You might not understand what I'm saying, but that's how it works."
To say he was speechless was an understatement. The human in front of him was something. He smirked nonetheless; Before he vanished into the thin air like a CGI.
Sera exhaled the air she was holding. Seokjin won, after all.
