The phone didn't even have time to ring before Shadow quickly accepted the call and picked it up.

"Hello?" Shadow said.

"Hi Shadz." Sonic said excited to hear his voice. He might not have been there but it sure felt like it.

"Hey Sonic," The blue boy heard Shadow say. "How come you wanted to call me?"

"Oh uh... Can't i call my best friend to hear his lovely voice?" Sonic said, he could feel his face already start to flush up as he pulls the blanket closer to him.

Shadow chuckles into the reciver. "That's gay, Sonic."

"Shadow that's kind of the point," Sonic sighed, not really sure how to put it so he instead resorted to say it simply. It was the best way anyways. "Shadow, i'm gay." Sonic felt like a heavy weight was lifted off his shoulders, the weight holding him down this whole time that made him feel weak and vanurable was now gone. He was free.

"What?!" Shadow choked out, although being confused by this since it came out of no where; Shadow couldn't help but be exicted.

"I was so stupid Shadow, too blind to see that i was in love with you too scared i would be hated and seen as a bad example," Sonic confessed. "After Fiona left, i thought i needed religion to be happy when really i needed you and at this point I've decided to man up and accept it."

Sonic stopped talking for a second to see how he couldn't stop smiling, he could hear Shadow was speechless so he continued. "I couldn't stop thinking about you Shadow, i wanted to be with you every day. I even had a dream where we kissed, a little roughly but it was something. I swear it was a lucid dream since i could control all my movements and i remember enjoying it. I couldn't accept that i was gay, it was too hard, but Tails opened my eyes and made me relize i really was gay. I dumped all the religion Shadow, i can accept that it was all fake and i was making myself believe all those things because i wanted to believe someone nonexistent cared about me. But real people always cared about me, and you're one of them. Shadow... I think i love you."

Sonic smiled widely wishing Shadow was in his house so he could give him a big hug and show him his love and affection, it was almost infinite and he needed to embrace him.

Shadow didn't answer, he was too suprised and taken back by Sonic's sudden confession, he was happy and ecstatic and felt like jumping up and down but he was also suprised.

"Uh, Shadow? You there?" Sonic asked worriedly after Shadow not saying a word for at least 5 minutes.

"Oh yeah, i'm still here." Shadow responded. "I'm just suprised, do you really mean all that?"

"Of course i do. If i didn't would i replace my shrine with a picture of us?"

"Did you really do that?"

"Yup!"

"You're such a fucking sinner, Sonic."

"I know i am," Sonic laughed. "But i'd rather go to hell with you than go to heaven alone."

"Okay, that's it!" Shadow said. "I'm going over to your house you blue fuck."

"But Shadow, it's late." Sonic said regretting ever calling him in the first place.

"I know, but i need to be with you." Shadow said making Sonic smile wholeheartedly. "See you in a couple minutes." Was all Shadow said before hanging up and looking for his car keys.

After a while Shadow slammed Sonic's bedroom door open and wasted no time to pull him into an embrace, getting underneath the covers and into some pretty unexplainable acts. The night was filled with sensual love making and noises of pain and pleasure before the two were finished and treated themselves to cuddling after cleaning eachother up.

Shadow held Sonic in his arms under the covers with the other's head buried in his chest fur. "I love you Shads." Sonic said wrapping his arms around his shoulders and pulling him closer.

"I know." Shadow laughed with his eyes closed, he was pretty tired since he was doing all the work. "You were just moaning that a couple minutes ago."

"I know but i feel like i need to say that at least a million times. I'm just mad at myself for not knowing this sooner."

"Honestly, you were kind of dumb."

"Gee, big help you are." Sonic jokingly said.

"I'm just kidding." Shadow laughed kissing his forehead. "I'm glad you came to your senses and relized you're nothing but a dirty sinner."

"You're dirty sinner." Sonic laughed.

"Yes," Shadow laughed. "My sinner."

Sonic pulled his now edgy boyfriend into a shared passionate kiss. They then fell asleep in each others arms not knowing of the big future ahead of them.
