Chapter 4
In a dark room with barely any light on, Leila was found seated at her vanity table. She was looking at her reflection through the broken mirror as she put on her lipstick. Every mirror or glass that can reflect images were either broken or cracked. She did not repair them since she was the cause of it and she liked it that way.
Her lips curved into a smile as soon as she noticed a figure behind her. "Well, it is quite impolite to not knock before entering a lady's room."
"Well, forgive me for that but I was just here to tell you my job is done," Aaron laughed as he spoke.
He grabbed a chair and made himself comfortable. He smirked as he tapped on the chair, showing that he was expecting something from her.
"Impatience I see," she chuckled.
Aaron coughed and averted eye contact with her. She laughed even louder and snapped her fingers, forming a fog near Aaron which disappeared, revealing a box. She pressed her chin on the back of her palm and waited as he opened it.
Inside the box was a purple crystal pendant. He touched it softly and it lightened up, "The pendant which can track anything."
He was impressed by the gift. Liking what he saw, he closed the box and clapped his hands.
"Impressive! You never fail to surprise me."
He kept the box inside his pocket and got up to leave.
"Leaving so soon? What about a cup of tea?"
He laughed while shaking his head and pressed his hands against the table while leaning towards her.
"Mocking me?"
Leila giggled and shook her head, "I was just being kind to my guest."
He sighed and placed his hands inside his pockets of pants, "But why are you so obsessed with him? You even gave him that watch and you know the consequences."
He was indeed curious about it and glanced over at her as he waited for her answer. Leila took a sip of tea and looked through the window where there was nothing but darkness. She placed her cup back in its place and let out a small sigh.
"I just merely wanted to meet him."

Jacob and Ryan transported to a room where there was mess everywhere. Being a clean freak, Jacob scoffed at the sight. Ryan picked up an expensive looking jacket which made both of them to look at each other while scrunching their faces with disapproval. The entire place was filled with branded clothes that were thrown all over the place.
Another pile of clothes was thrown out of a room and they noticed Lucas rushing past them, heading to his walk-in closet. He only realized the two standing at the corner after running past them for the fifth time. "Oh you are here!" he chirped.
Both of them swooshed towards him and shoved his jacket into his chest. "Before anything else, please tidy up this place and take good care of these expensive goods you bought," Ryan ordered him sternly. He sounded rather pissed.
Although Lucas was confused by how serious Ryan sounded, he knew it was a better choice to just listen to him. After all, a serious Ryan was never good. So, he obediently placed the clothes back in the closet neatly in a split second by snapping his hands. In Galax, everyone had it easy with magic being involved in daily activities.

Lucas slouched in his sofa and intertwined his fingers. Jacob and Ryan also took their seats and looked at Lucas who had been glaring at his watch.
"When are you going to tell us why you called us here?"
He took in a deep breath and folded his arms as he leaned backwards in his sofa, making the mood very serious. Such atmosphere made Jacob and Ryan totally uncomfortable and wanted him to say something fast. They were getting really worried since Lucas would only be serious if something really big had happened, "I need help."
He sounded really serious.

"Dude, you called us up in the middle of the night just to help you choose your clothes?!" Jacob was totally frustrated upon his request. He thought Sun had something really serious going on and he was willing to even cut his 1029th date off to help his dear friend.
"But I'm meeting the Guardian of Night. Plus she's such a stunning lady. I want to look good," Lucas explained worriedly.
Jacob messaged his temple using his knuckle and rubbed his neck. While he was complaining and Lucas was explaining, Ryan grabbed a gold suit and white collar shirt, along with black pants. "Try this one," he recommended.
His innocent expression broke their conversation and made Jacob laugh as he knew it was useless complaining. He picked up a blue blazer and blue pants and took the white shirt from Ryan.
"Gold is too glittery. Black is too boring. Let's stick with blue to meet the beautiful lady who represents the night," he advised and passed him the clothes. Definitely, Jacob was the perfect person to ask when it comes to dating advice.

After Jacob and Ryan left, Lucas laid his back on the bed and stared at the sky above him. The pretty art that stars formed in the sky made him think of Leila. He wondered why she had to work alone.
All Guardians have a team of members to work with but then she did not and was often locked in her own office.
He knew something was strange but it was none of his concern. He believed that she must have had her own reason and drifted off to sleep so that tomorrow could come faster.

Next morning came with Lucas sitting in his chair fidgeting and staring at the watch. He was lost in his own thoughts and became oblivious to the surroundings. Louis had been calling him for the past 30 minutes but had not received any response. He couldn't take it anymore so he shouted his name to get his attention.
Lucas jumped so hard that he hit his knee with the table. His soul almost left his body because he was too shocked.
"You could have just called me."
Lucas looked at him still shocked and placed his hand on his chest to calm himself down.
"But Sir, I've been calling for 30 minutes and all you did was stare at the broken watch," Louis whined and it was not usual to see him whine so Lucas felt bad at first.
But then Lucas shot up and shouted, "This is not broken!"
All of his members turned and stared at him through the blinds of his office. This is embarrassing. He noticed the stares so he quietly sat down and coughed. "It's just not time to work yet," he mumbled softly.
"But Sir, please take a look at this."
Louis passed Lucas the weather tracking of the day and showed him the weird pattern which got him to sit up straight and pay attention.
He went through the graph while giving quick glances at the monitor. The graph being produced was different from the actual weather on Earth, "Did anyone press anything wrong?"
All the members checked and clearly stated that none of them did. It was clear that the weather was normal but the graph states unnatural heat wave. He did not receive any notification that there will be rise in temperature as well. Something was definitely strange.
All of a sudden, warning signs popped up on the monitor and it filled the screen. There was loud siren and red light flashed across the room.
"Everyone at your position now!"
Everyone rushed back to their places and turned serious as they get their hands busy. Lucas went through the files and glanced at the monitor whenever he had time, "Louis, any updates?"
Louis checked their notifications and shook his head, "No Sir."
Lucas knew that there was only one thing that could cause such heat wave. He rushed to the temperature control system and pulled the brake as hard as he could. It took him a while to manage to do that and he immediately punched the OFF button which cooled the temperature of Earth down.
The siren and warning signs disappeared and the graph became stable again. Lucas ensured that everything was back to normal until the end of his duty. He even ended up staying late just to make sure nothing suspicious occurs.
Louis confirmed him that everything is fine and asked him if he had plans. Lucas did have a very important plan but then he was still concerned about the weather. Louis assured him that they would take care of it and that he could leave if he wishes to. He thought long and hard and decided that he could trust them.

Lucas rushed back to his room and quickly got changed. He wore the blue suit and pants that Jacob recommended and just headed off without checking himself in the mirror. He was rushing as he did not want to be late. He teleported to the entrance of the restaurant and checked the weather.
3:50pm.
He glanced at his reflection as he walked past a mirror and noticed his clothes were crumbled and his hair was messed up.
4:00pm.
He realized that he still had time so he quickly rushed to the toilet and straightened his clothes and combed his hair backwards to make it neat. He made sure he looked perfect before heading inside the restaurant.
When he went in, he scanned the entire restaurant but saw no sign of Leila inside. He sighed in relief as he was escorted by the waiter to a seat for two. He sat down and tapped on the table as he waited. Maybe he was too early but it's going to be 4:15pm soon. What should I say? Is my hair ok? Does my breath stink? Many questions popped out in his head.
He noticed that the hands of his watch still had not move yet. He could tell it was going to be 4:15pm but she still had not arrived yet. He started to panic as he waited. He wondered if she forgot or maybe she was just busy or maybe the watch is really broken or Aaron lied to him.
He started feeling suffocated so he removed a button and turned around to look at the entrance for one last time.
4.15pm
All of a sudden, everything started moving slowly. It was as if the time had stopped. He saw nothing but a lady who was walking in. A lady he was waiting for.
Her wavy hair fell perfectly down till her waist and her blue dress wraps her body tightly showing her beautiful curvy body. Leila walked towards Lucas and smiled as she sat in front of him.
That was when the hands of his watch started ticking.
