iii. Pocket Call

7:00am

"Yoongi, get up!" Seokjin yelled, standing beside Yoongi's hotel bed.

"Sheesh, we finally get our own damn, forgive my language Hyung, rooms and the second we got told we'd be in a hotel, they stuck me with you again." Yoongi grumbled, sitting up and looking at Seokjin, who was holding a spatula, looking like he was about to beat Yoongi if he didn't get out of bed.

With a sigh, Yoongi got out of bed and there was now an odd moment. Two shirtless men standing less than two feet away from each other, and Seokjin holding a spatula only made it weirder.

"Hyungs, Joonie needs us-" Hoseok started, walking into their hotel room only to see that odd scene.

"I'll tell Joonie you two are busy." Hoseok said quickly, turning around to leave the room.

"Hobi, it's not like-" Seokjin and Yoongi tried to yell a defense, but Hoseok had already left the room.

Seokjin hit Yoongi on the head with the spatula. "What was that about?" Yoongi barked, obviously a bit irritated. After seeing a certain look in Seokjin's eyes, Yoongi's face softened and he waited for a response.

"How was the conversation with Taehyungie last night?" Seokjin asked, holding the spatula to his side now. Yoongi was silent for a moment, trying to think of a way to phrase everything.

"He lives in Daegu, he still can't speak, he hasn't done anything irrational to himself, and he told me he loves me." Yoongi answered, leaving a silent Seokjin.

"Back in his home now huh?" Seokjin asked, scratching the back of his neck. That statement seemed to get on Yoongi's nerve somehow and Seokjin could tell.

"Jin Hyung. What home? His grandma died there, so he had no one to go back to. I don't even know how he's making money to live, and to top that all off, we were his family Hyung, and he isn't with us." Yoongi snatched Seokjin's spatula and lightly hit him on his chest.

"So you tell me Hyung. Is he really back home?" Yoongi didn't realize it, but he was on the brink of tears, which Seokjin did notice and pulled him into a hug. Yoongi hugged back for just a moment so they could finally get ready for the days concert, completely forgetting about the meeting.

"Hyungs, seriously, the meeting started twenty minutes ago!" Jungkook complained, banging in their hotel door. The two looked at each other in realization and opened the door, only to see a very jumpy Jungkook, who dashed down the hall to Namjoon's room.

Seokjin and Yoongi followed behind and entered, receiving weird looks from everyone. Bang Sihyuk cleared his throat and everyone's attention went towards him.

"We've been getting calls and emails from teenagers and adults in Daegu for the past four months. They're all about a choreographer that they believe would be very useful to BTS." Sihyuk announced, everyone immediately looking towards Hoseok, Jungkook, and Jimin, the one and only Dance Line.

The three exchanged glances and Hosek spoke up. "I think that's a great idea." Sihyuk nodded and everyone then stood up, both Yoongi and Seokjin feeling as though they had missed a lot in the meeting. Everyone left Namjoon's hotel room to get dressed, while Seokjin and Yoongi went to the makeup artists and hairstylists.

"Hobi-ah, what did you mean when you said that the Hyungs were busy?" Jimin asked, both he and Hoseok stripping in their room to get their performance clothes on.

"Chim, when I walked in, they were a foot apart, shirtless, and Jin Hyung looked like he was about to hit Yoongi Hyungs ass with a spatula." Hoseok said, slipping on his pants while Jimin was putting his shirt on.

"Why haven't you hit my ass with a spatula?" Jimin asked with a playful tone.

"Because I prefer hitting Ji-booty with my hand, not an object." Hoseok responded seductively. The two were done getting dressed and went to get their hair and makeup done before they got carried away.

Back in Daegu, Taehyung was teaching a new dance to his students. Using sign language every now and then, they'd know what to do. Though most of his students simply mirrored his movements.

One student however, by the name of Kim Daehyun, was sneaking into his office and just so happened to have found a notebook.

A notebook with many song lyrics. Going through his notebook, she started realizing how emotional they were. After a while, she noticed that none of the lyrics had names.

Well, the first one is definitely about his struggles now, and the emotions he feels. The second one is definitely symbolic of a love that isn't real.

Daehyun didn't have time to finish her thoughts when she heard another student ask where she was, so she quickly ran in the room and acted as if she was never gone.

The whole class contacted BigHit about his dancing, not mentioning a name to make it a surprise. But being the ARMY I am, I know he isn't on the Composer Line. When did he start writing?

That was all Daehyun could think about as she started dancing again, her eyes glued to the back of Taehyung.

9:00pm

"Bye Hyung!"

"Goodnight sensei!"

"See you tomorrow!"

All of his students had different ways of saying goodbye, including referring to him as a martial arts teacher. In some cases with students, they view dance as a form of fighting. Taehyung waved at all of them as they left until no one was there except him. The moment everyone was gone, his thoughts drifted to his conversation with Yoongi the night before.

I wonder if Hyung tried to tell me he loves me too before I hung up.

With that thought in mind, he took a look at his phone, only to shake his head. He was pretty sure their concert was still going on so he grabbed a small towel and wiped off the back of his neck and his forehead.

"Maybe it's not just Bangtan that's afraid to talk to me, maybe I'm afraid of talking to them too." Taehyung mouthed, putting his notebook in his backpack and throwing his bag over his shoulder.

Without a thought in mind, he left the studio and started walking to his apartment. While walking down the streets, he still wore a mask out of habit. Suddenly, he heard a group of teenagers and a few adults talking about Bangtan Sonyeondan coming to Daegu.

"You didn't know? They're coning to meet a choreographer!"

"I bet it's that man down the street!"

"That's V, er, Taehyung!"

"He was never a member of the Dance Line though."

"Yeah, but he was, and is, an amazing dancer!"

"Yeah, but he's only teaching how to dance here because of an incident-"

"Is that when he tried hitting a high note in Boron Singer five months ago?"

"Yeah."

"Well, it doesn't seem like he knows all this though. Then again, it may not be him they're coming here for."

"Yeah, you're right. BigHit kicked him out, so I don't think they'd take him back."

"So we can all agree it isn't Taehyung?"

"Yeah."

Taehyung dashed to his apartment as fast as he could, slamming the door behind himself and sliding down the back if it.

Damnit!

It didn't matter if it had been five months or not, the thought that BigHit kicked him to the curb after loosing his voice was still heartbreaking, especially after all the years he had spent in the company, trainee days till his banishment.

After taking a few deep breaths, he got up to shower and go to bed. Just as he was about to lay down and go into a peaceful sleep, his phone interrupted him.

9:30pm

Joon Hyung?

Taehyung immediately answered the phone, and by the voices, he could tell it was a pocket call.

Didn't mean he was going to hang up though.

"I'm sorry Hy-ow!" Namjoon.

"That's what you get!" Seokjin.

"Doesn't mean you get to hit my butt with a spatula!" Namjoon.

"Be grateful it was your ass instead of something else! But thank you for not swearing, ahem, Yoongi." Seokjin.

"If you're gonna hit someone's booty Hyung, use your hand." Hoseok.

"Aish Hyung-" Jimin.

"Glad it wasn't me, and you swear more than I do Hyung." Yoongi.

"Oh, I'll get you in the morning if you don't get your pasty ass out of bed!" Seokjin.

"Did you just call my ass pasty!?" Yoongi.

"Yes, you disrespectful swearing little boy." Seokjin.

"Ugh." Yoongi and Jungkook.

"Wait, Chim, who'd you get that necklace from?" Yoongi.

"Same person you share that blue ring with." Jimin.

"The same, the same person I used to share a room with." Namjoon.

"Joon Hyung, your phone screen is on-" Jungkook.

"Looks like you're in a call." Hoseok.

"Who'd you pocket call?" Seokjin and Yoongi.

"I pocket ca- Tae!?" Namjoon.

Hey Kookie, Jiminie, Joon Hyung, Hobi Hyung, Yoongi Hyung, and Jinnie Hyung.
