The two walked out the school building with Erin talking Bey's ear off. She enjoyed listening to her son talking about school. She never cared too much for school until she found out what she really wanted to do. In fact, she almost didn't go to college until she met Kelly Wearstler. She was a famous interior designer and Bey was always fond of her work. They met at an event her mom was hosting and they spoke briefly, in that time, Bey had decided to go to school and be an interior designer.

"Mommy" Erin called snapping Bey out of her thoughts.

"Yea. Where are we going?"

"Well I was thinking we could go to Pigeon Forest and get on the rides and stuff. Then get some food."

"Oooo can I get--"

"Have" Bey said cutting him off.

"Can I have McDonalds. I want the burger and toy."

"Yea, we'll get it on the way from the house. You need to get your swim trunks and stuff."

"Yesss and can we go to Legoland too."

"Yea want to go to Legoland first?"

Um...YES." Bey chuckled at Erin's enthusiasm. It made her happy to see him like that.

They talked the whole car ride about various things and made it to their house. She pulled up and saw Shawn's car. She thought he would've left her house by now but I guess not.

"Mr. Shawn is here."

"Yea I guess so."

"I thought it was just going to be us today." Erin spoke with disappointment.

"It is baby. I promise. Just go inside and put on your swim trunks and extra clothes." I said rubbing his head,

We walked inside and It was quiet. I called out Shawn's name while Erin walked upstairs. I kept looking around the house and eventually went to my bedroom and saw Shawn sleeping in my bed.

"Shawn....Shawn....SHAWN." I yelled before hitting him.

"GET UP NIGGA."

He groaned while he stretched out.

"I thought you would be gone by now."

"I was but then I decided to stay and chill with you and Erin today."

"Shawn, no. Today, is for Erin and I."

"So I can't come?"

"No, Shawn. This is so me and him can spend time alone without anybody else."

"Bey, C'mon. We can--"

"SHAWN! I said no. I need alone time with my son, so please leave."

"Man alright." Shawn got up from the bed and started grabbing his stuff to leave.

I don't know why he was so upset, he seemed fine with it this morning now all of a sudden he was switching up. I just watched as he moved around my room. He didnt speak he just huffed and puffed before going around me to leave.

"Bye Shawn." I gave him a little smile.

"MHmm.." With that he walked out the door. I turned my attention back to my room so I could get dressed for the pool. I figured I would try in my bathing suit, it was gifted from Donatella Versace when I redid her home. It was a beautiful earth tone two piece bikini with a nice fabric. I looked pretty good as I checked myself out. I was so happy that it fit because I had never tried it on. I never really did have a reason too. I threw on a pair of pants and a plain tee before packing a small pool bag.

I called Erin's name to see if he was almost ready. I heard his feet hit against the floor as he ran towards my room. He ran in with his bag on his back and jumped right on my bed.

"Hey baby, you finished packing?"

"Yea, I did."

"Let me see it." He opened his bag and started taking out different pieces of clothing.

"You need a towel in there, socks, and another shirt."

"Ok."

He ran back into his room while I chuckled at his excitement. I looked myself over once before finishing up the bag with towels and extra clothes. I couldn't remember anything else so I grabbed Erin's bag off my bed and walked towards his room where he was coming out.

"Here, put it in." Holding the bag open for him.

"Is that it?"

"Yea. Come on."

We were in and out of the house in 20 minute tops. I think that is actually a record because it usually takes us much longer. Erin sat in the back and I pulled off into my truck headed towards Roscoe's to get something to eat. We were regulars there and it was a small hole in the wall not too many people know about it which I am so grateful for. The owner, Linda, absolutely adores Erin, every time we go in she spoils him to the point of no return. It took us about 14 minutes and it was barely full.

"HEY BEY! HEY ERIN." We heard as we walked thought the door.

"HI MS. LINDA" Erin said matching her excitement and volume.

"Hey Linda" I spoke regularly.

" I haven't seen you guys in about two weeks. Where have you been?"

"Ughh just swamped with school and work. Theres too much pressure in my relationship and his school parents are really pushing it with me."

"Well you know if you ever want to talk you can call me ."

"Thank you. I will.

We ordered our regulars which was an impossible burger for me and chicken tenders with fries for Erin. We talked while we waited.

"So what's been going on in school?"

"Nothing really. I have to make a project for science and I really want to make a volcano with a mini forest around it and there's a spelling bee competition."

"Sounds exciting Erin. Want me to help you?"

"Yes, Please." He said smiling wide.

"Ok, tomorrow we can work on it after school. You'll have the best volcano out of everybody."

"And the spelling bee?"

"We can do that too. When is it?"

"Its in two weeks. Ms. Conoso, my other teacher, said whoever wins can go to the state spelling bee."

"Alright so we have to practice everyday."

"Ok, I can do it."

"Yea you can." I reached across the table and rubbed my finger across his face smiling at him.

"I am so proud of you baby."

"I know mommy."

"Love you."

"Maaaaaa, okkkayyy." He said playfully whining.

"What you too old for my love?"

"We're outside, in public."

I acted like I was said causing Erin to just stare at me.

"Mom, why are you so dramatic."

I looked up putting my hand across my chest. "Dramatic? I am not."

"I am just trying to hold it together since my only child has dismissed me."

"Ok, ok. Here."

He walked around the table to give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Is that better?"

"Yes baby. Thank you. I feel better."

"You're so silly." He laughed.

"I have to be to keep up with you."

It wasn't long before our food was sitting before us and we were ready to dig.

"Come on. We have to say grace." I said reminding Erin.

We bowed our head and said grace.

"God is good. God is grace. Let us thank him for our plate. Please also bless the less fortunate. Amen." Erin spoke quickly.

"Ok, dig in." I bit into my burger and it was so juicy. I couldn't wait to eat more. I really love impossible burgers. It was made just the way I like. Other places make it a little too hard or too mushy, but this tasted like a real burger.

I kept eating as Erin destroyed his chicken tenders. That boy could eat them all day without a chew. I have to remind him to slow down sometimes.

We sat there for another 20 minutes, before paying the bill and leaving. When we got back into the car, we made our way straight to Legoland. 

We pulled up at Legoland and I could see the joy written all over Erin's face. He was grinning cheek to cheek. I felt so proud to have brought that to him.

"Come on baba, let's go in."

He jumped out the car and held my hand as we made our way inside. It was nice as hell in there. The last time I was here, I was with Erin's dad and his niece. It made me feel a tinge of sadness, but I brushed it off as Erin let go of my hand to run to the game zone.

"Erin, what do you want to play first?"

"I wanna play Kingdom come." 

"Ok baby."

Erin sat in the chair to the racing game and started playing. I cheered him on as he brushed past all the other cars.

"Come on baby, you got it." "AYEEEEE" "Yea hit them with the turbo." "YAYYY you won baby."

"You're like my cheerleader."

"Always. Don't you forget that."

He chuckled at me before he started walking off to miniland. Everything there was a miniature version of a city. They had Cali, New York, The Kennedy Space Station and more. It was so dope to see all that. After about an hour and a half. Erin bolted off towards the rides.

"ERIN. DO. NOT. RUN." He stopped running and waited for me.

"Come on. I wanna get on the Twisty Train."

"Alright, but remember not run. Ok? I don't want to lose you, you know there are a lot of bad people in the world."

"Ok Mom. I won't run, but I need you to walk faster." He squeezed my hand and practically dragged me to the roller coaster.

We got to the front of the line and I checked Erin's height to make sure he was good to go.

"Miss, if you and this little guy are ready. You can step on up. Erin walked in front and got into the  cart.  I never cared too much for carts and it scared the shit out of me, but I wouldn't let Erin see that. I try not to project my fears onto him. The coaster started moving and I took a deep breath before looking down at him. He was grinning so hard and was jittery. I wrapped my arm around him as we moved up the hill. The hill wasn't too big because it is for kids, however it was enough of a drop to make you feel your stomach drop. 

Soon we were at the top and then zoom. We were off.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH"

I couldn't tell if that was me screaming or the 20 other people but thats all I heard as we rode on the ride. We jerked side to side. I could've sworn I had whiplash. Erin was screaming and holding on tightly to the railing in front of him. The ride lasted another 20 seconds before it stopped. My hair was all over the place and my sides were toast. Erin on the other hand looked well put together. Unbelievable.

"That was so much fun. Can we do it again?"

"You don't want to try anything else?"

"Yes, but after this."

"Ok, but we have to get back in line."

"Okay." He followed me out of the cart and we went again. We went on a more rides before eventually we started getting tired and decided to just go home. Although we had more plans, those roller coasters took a lot out of us, so we figure we'll just stay home and go another day.

It was about an hour drive home with traffic.  We had spent a good five hours at the park without even realizing it. I was hungry, so I made a pit stop at McDonald's and picked up a Big Mac meal for me and some nuggets for Erin. 

It was around nine when we pulled up to the house. It was dark and quiet. I parked in my garage before I carried Erin out. He was slumped. I knew my baby was tired, but he had to take a quick shower before he could go to sleep. I sat him in this chair before I started the water and got him undressed for the shower.

"Erin, come on. You have to take a quick shower."

"Noooo, I'm tiredddd." 

"Erin, I know, but you have to. Love been outside all day.

I stood him up and led him to the warm water. He stood there just letting the water run off his back. I grabbed his wash cloth and lathered it up before washing him quickly. In 6 minutes, I was done. I threw some briefs on him and put him in bed. 

I closed his door and went into my bedroom. I turned on the lights and screamed.

"KEITH." I backed up against my wall. 

"Hey Bey. How you been?" 

"What are you doing here?" My voice quavered as I stood still.

"Well I was in the neighborhood and I missed you."

"You can not be here. Erin is sleep and I don't want him to wake up."

"Then I suggest you be quiet."

He lunged toward me with a quickness. I tried to move, but he wrapped his arms around my waist. 

"KEITH, STOP IT. STOP PLEASE."

"Bey, why you so scared? You used to love me when we did this."

"PLEASE KEITH PLEASE. DON'T DO THIS TO ME. PLEASE."

"Bey, I just wanna love you." He kissed my head and forced me over to the bed. He threw me down and  I try to scurry away, but he did nothing but grab my ankle and pull me towards him.

He climbed on top and covered my mouth. 

"Shhh, Erin's sleep remember. We don't want him to wake up and see Mommy being nasty."

Tears shed down my cheeks and my face was hot. I couldn't do anything. I felt helpless. Alone. Violated.  I prayed for a rescue, but it never came. I closed my eyes as I waited for this horror to go away. He had his way with me and there was nothing I could do. No matter how hard I pulled away, there was no where to go.....
