"I think that's a bad idea," Namjoon said, taking his time with his words because he knew that a direct refusal would only prompt insubordination.

"But why not?" Hobi asked, throwing his arms up. "I think it's a great idea!"

"Great idea, great idea!" Tae chanted.

Namjoon sighed. "Trust me, raising all of you, I've heard my fair share of bad ideas, and this one is up there. Way up there."

"But it's a family bonding exercise!" Hobi insisted. "It'll be fun!"

"We won't complain at all!" Tae said.

Namjoon sighed. "All right...we'll give it a go."

"Why do there have to be so many bugs?" Tae groaned, kicking a stick into a nearby bush as he swatted at something flying near his face. "They're everywhere and they're all trying to kill me, I swear-"

Jin tightened the hood of his sweatshirt around his face so he was almost completely covered.

Jungkook meanwhile was just tramping on ahead; every now and then bringing a bug on a stick to Hobi, who screamed and went running in the opposite direction.

Yoongi was bringing up the rear with Jimin on his back. Jimin had been very excited about the camping trip for days, and even though Namjoon told him that they didn't have to do the camping trip, Jimin insisted on coming with. Not fifteen minutes into the hike, though, Jimin had to stop, panting with his hands on his knees, his small frame shaking slightly from exertion. Namjoon couldn't understand why until he realized that Jimin must not have gotten much physical exercise at all, living in the same house for years, and that his stamina had become dangerously low. Before Namjoon could suggest going back, though, Yoongi just bent down with his back to Jimin, telling him to climb on, and they continued on their merry way.

"Aw, this bug is cute," Hobi cooed, bending down to peek at a little green leaf bug. "Maybe we can take it with- IT'S FRIENDS WITH A SPIDER NEVER MIND!" he shouted, jumping back and placing Jungkook between himself and the newly-spotted foe.

"Where's the spider? Want me to step on it?" Jungkook asked, blinking and trying to find it on the ground.

"N-No, just don't let it get me," Hobi said, keeping a firm hand on Jungkook's shoulder in case he needed to sacrifice his younger brother for his own safety.

"Don't step on the spider," Yoongi spoke up from the back of the pack. "He didn't ask to be born ugly and furry and with six extra legs."

"Oh, you can ask to be born ugly?" Jin asked, blinking before sending a questioning glance toward Yoongi before forcing a smile. "I mean, I respect your decision, but-"

"Jungkook, if you punch Jin in the face right now, I won't finger flick you on the head for leaving my favorite book outside in the rain," Yoongi said in a calm voice, and Jungkook immediately looked over at Jin.

"Jin, I'm sorry, but-"

"WHAT?! NO!" Jin screeched, running ahead down the trail.

Jungkook turned to look at Yoongi with worry in his eyes. "Am I still getting flicked?"

Yoongi pursed his lips. "Well, Jin is gone, so that worked well enough."

Namjoon sighed, rubbing his nose. "JIN, GET BACK HERE. Yoongi, please stop pitting your brothers against each other. Jungkook, don't punch anyone. Hobi, it's just a spider. Tae, you're the one who wanted to do this. Jimin-" Namjoon's mouth was left hanging open slightly as he thought of what to address with his last child. "Just- um..."

Jimin looked back at him. "I didn't do anything..."

"I know, just-"

Jimin sighed, deflating slightly. "Okay, I won't do it."

"Do what?"

"Whatever it is that I'm not supposed to be doing."

Namjoon just sighed and turned to find that Jin had returned, flicking his eyes between Jungkook and Yoongi nervously. "Everyone just calm down. We need to walk another 45 minutes-"

"45 minutes?" Yoongi muttered. "Why not seconds?"

"-til we reach our camp site, where we'll set up for the night-"

"Wait, we're staying out here overnight?!" Tae and Hobi yelled in sync.

Namjoon stared at them. "Yes, typically on camping trips, you camp."

Tae and Hobi looked at each other, communicating telepathically, before both looking back at Namjoon.

"So," Tae began, and Hobi picked it up.

"You guys have fun-"

"-but we're going to go back to the car-"

"-so we'll see you guys tomorrow morning."

"Good luck," Tae finished, and the two began sprinting back the way they had come.

"Wait-" Namjoon began, but Yoongi was already turning around as well, taking Jimin with him.

Jungkook shrugged. "I mean, I don't really mind sleeping out here, but did you stop to think that the spiders will be sleeping out here too?"

Jin paled and followed the others.

Namjoon stared at Jungkook. "Now what? Everyone else went back to sleep in the car."

Jungkook grinned. "I don't know, but you're the one with the car keys."
